Sorry to all longs. Spec Biotech is a crap shoot.
The timing of this breach of fiduciary duty investigation stinks to high heaven. I've always said that they needed to clean house on the board, but this seems like total crap. All of a sudden someone is worried about the shareholders, just when things are about to get going.
Good for a day trade, not selling any of my long shares. Volume is fricken huge.
Snooze fest cc. M. Goldstein didn't show up to bust any chops. I guess that's a good sign? Things look pretty good, in my opinion.
Nice finish HOD.
We longs are beat up. I've traded it here and there, but have held my core. Seriously right now I just want to see it get over a buck and stay there.
My mistake, for some reason I thought it was June. Thanks
June will be final settlement of class action and interim results official announcement. There will be buying once someone gets wind of it. Better days ahead. GL
It's a home run, probably. I just wish they would clean house on the board of directors. Kriegsman, Hillsberg, and Chin are all still listed as board members. The shorts aren't stupid. They use that creation of doubt in management until interim results, in my opinion. I know Pier Rules is one of the moderators of this board, but he only comes around when there is good news. I wish he would be more objective and admit that Gale has had a rocky road.
CPXX has 34.5 mil outstanding shares and 1.1 mil short, GALE has 181 mil outstanding and 20+ mil short. I hope the end game turns out ok for us. It seems that the big money just doesn't like all of the screw ups of this management. I'm no expert, guess we'll see in a few months
AF sees Gale management, or past management, as crooked, so he will continue bashing Gale even if it goes on to be a success.
AF has given me ulcers for the last 2 years. He printed a story that was not accurate and caused the stock to tumble. He can't get away with this.
This stock is a seesaw today after that shyster AFs timely hit piece. Gale has to get through this because a lot of us are holding quite a few shares. It is an ongoing concern which makes traders react in a knee jerk manner.
They might've needed a new racket ball court; who knows. Added a big chunk at .89 and .897 anyway.
Yes, that shyster needed to go. No more pulling strings from behind the scenes.
Most of the questions from the money managers seem to be hoping for success, I guess. Even M. Goldstein didn't seem to be busting balls as much, except when she thought they were divesting gale 401. Got rid of the pain killers, moving on.
Sounds like a good angle to play: Schwartz determines that they are also victims of Ahn and some of the directors. Big Pharma and big money tells Schwartz to throw these guys under the bus and then they'll be good to go. Well it's a nice theory anyway.
True, I'm not trying to give Motley Fool too much validity in their analysis, it's water under the bridge. They, and other blogs, have been talking about GALE running out of money for the past year or more. This lawsuit is going to drag on but I don't think it's going to matter much. Lots of data coming out in the next 6 months, I think
Motley Fool seems to be worried about them running out of money, and needing more dilution also. I'm betting on Neuvax and holding my core; and trading with the rest. GLTA
It would be nice if they had maybe 50 mil outstanding shares instead of 160 mil, but oh well.
M. Goldstein from Cantor Fitzgerald is a ball buster, and seems to have a personal issue with GALE. That guy Jason made a good point that Neuvax is ahead of the curve on this type of vaccine, and big Pharma might be scrambling to get into the fold.
Earnings missed by a little but good enough, in my opinion. Now put me in a time capsule to go 6 months into the future.
Looking nice.
ok, thanks.
Well, it's the 28th of April. 3 Motions to dismiss: one from Ahn; one from the Directors; and one from the Officers of GALE. Let's see if they get any of them. Being the west coast, we won't find out for a while.
Good interview with E. Mittendorf. Got this link off of a post on Stock Twits. Her photo looks like she is serious

Then again the Dream Team might try to throw GALE under the bus somehow. It's kind of interesting stuff
Read the April 7th filing, just in case you haven't already. Officers Reply To Plaintiffs Response On Motion to Dismiss.
That's why they are going after the Dream Team, in my opinion. Maybe they're nervous that the suits against the primary GALE officers might get dismissed on technicalities. One can only hope:

I believe it will have it's day in the sun, but apart from that who knows. Seems way undervalued, and way oversold according to the 3,6, and 12 month stochastics.
Phase 2, and 2b regarding the press release. As far as I know the enrollment completion, to come soon, is for Neuvax alone.

No prob
I can't speculate about that but this guy on Yahoo built a website to follow the lawsuits out in Portland, if you want to check it out

Yes Pier, I'm adding too. But you can never tell when a company like this is going to dilute. I'm not trying to be a smartass ( well, maybe I am), but no worries. GL

Dilution?? Lol. -Pier.
Definately
Long term outlook hasn't changed, in my opinion. Dilution was to be expected.
It's all pretty suspect, but what can one do? Nothing really, GL
These Weasels. Even Investopedia is piling on:

Definitely. Been following this board, and have been in and out of Sigma for 6 months or so. Like these prices and have been adding as much as I can. Hope for the best in 2015 and on. GLTA
Ok, operating expense was 14 mil Q3, compared to 19 mil Q2. The 2 previous quarters it was 14 mil. With Abstral and Zuplenz, what are we talking about here, maybe 3 to 4 mil a quarter in revs? Yes, there is no end in sight for now. They need a partnership with deep pockets. I have no idea about time frame of the SEC investigation, but the class action suit will take another year and a half, at least.
