Hey guys. I need to open a no frills brokerage account for a minor in Italy? Any ideas? I just want to put some money into an ETF that tracks the SP500. I cannot add a minor from Italy to my US-based Schwab account, and I do not want to deposit a lot of money into an international account. Anyone have experience with international brokerage firms? It looks like the minimum for Schwab is $10000.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Toups is working at an investment management company (although I didn't see his name listed on the company's website). And he trumpets his "success" LPIH. Would be interested to contact the company he is at right now. Maybe it was too low key for the gov't to become interested. My guess is that the Chinese gov't does not mind when its companies rip off foreigners as long as it stays under the radar in the West. I don't know if the CEO's they executed were high profile cases. Could be they occasionally like to make it look like they care. Interesting book out recently called The Factory Man that reiterates many of the feelings people have about China and the lengths they will go to for economic empowerment.
NAT was trading in the 30's a few years ago. I haven't followed in awhile but the CEO seems to be pretty straight-forward with investors.
It certainly doesn't prove innocence. It is not surprising to find dishonest people at investment companies.
What's in a ticker? Investors confuse Nest with Nestor (NEST). Price soars. http://www.cnbc.com/id/101339238
Book value >20/sh. There has been discussion of whether or not BAC should trade below book value. Looks like BAC is becoming one of the darling banks on finance websites. Expect higher pps throughout 2014. Already heavily invested but will consider buying more if we fall below 17.
And we're having a happy new year.
Is that the Redchip guy?
Fannie and Freddie taking off again...still time for a swing?
Euroseas (ESEA)...All aboard.
Is it more profitable to invest or steal? http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2013/10/11/world/illegal-taps-on-oil-pipeline-wreaking-havoc-on-nigeria/
I've planned holidays in Mali but I would never go to Nigeria for leisure. Too many problems with Boko Haram. My guess: This slowly drifts down until the divi vultures come in, assuming there is no dividend cut. I would not go long.
Tired of waiting. Sold at 50 while I was still ahead. GLTA.
Wow, last time I checked this was 1.10 or so. Any thoughts on the climb?
Euroseas (ESEA) taking off. Below $2 and nice dividend.
Webcast today at 830. I suspect they will relate ops to taper and refute hedgeye claims.
Agree. The dividend has been consistently increased, often on a quarterly basis. COO recently purchased stock.
KMP mind games. http://seekingalpha.com/article/1695052-kinder-morgan-energy-partners-lp-not-a-house-of-cards
KMP has consistently increased the divi, often quarterly. Could be a good opportunity.
KMP below 80.00. Buying opportunity.
Thanks. Staying on the sidelines for now. Too little time to look closer. Holidays were great!
Is the buyout rumor still in play. Been on holidays. And what about ALN?
KMP increases dividend again. 1.32 quarterly payout.
In at 4.70 for a swing, then came the RS...
This is one I had been really wanting to get rid of but I'll be holding for now. Banks are going up. Holding all my banks for now.
Looks interesting. Will take a closer look.
Anyone looking at ZMSPF? I came across this on an ihub board. I still need to dig deeper but looks interesting. A recent PR states that the company has formed "a joint collaboration partnership agreement with Hamamatsu Photonics (Tokyo: 6965) of Japan to commercialize existing imaging technologies and to collaborate on the upgrade and manufacture of photo detectors, integrated detector modules (IDM) and associated electronics and data acquisition modules for the imaging markets at large."
Are there any upcoming catalysts. Buyback? I briefly looked over the more recent posts on the ALN board.
This reminds me of Wong Wei (which was not a joke).
Can't believe the pump over on the LPIH board. Looks like Toups' name is no longer on the website. Also, I noticed Kevin Chen now goes by a different name on Seeking Alpha.
Up in pre-market trading.
I guess it's a good thing I missed the news I was waiting for. I'll be looking to get back into Freddie.
Ok. Just what I saw on Schwab. I was curious to see the current pps (0.23).
Bid: 2.305 Ask: 2.39.
Imagine if at some point pps of LPIH = pps of SIAF.
LOL! You mean the companies' complete silence doesn't inspire confidence? But Toups is still there.
Did you buy more? This has been the week of worthless stocks surging (FNMA, FMCC, LPIH...).
Any thoughts on the current fall?
