ddfridd...Pitiful volume and open interest on GFI options. The other problem is that the only strike that gives you any leverage is the Oct 15's and that price is right at some resistance for the underlying stock. I can't see this stock pushing close enough to give you a profit AND allow you exit your position. I focus on fairly heavily traded options. If you really want a call side option for the fall look at MO calls very near the money. Sep 40's or Dec 42.5's

ddfridd..None of the stocks I follow that have a price near those strikes have enough option volume to be a decent play. Besides, I think the direction is basically down into the fall so puts would be my play. I'll keep looking though.

Sitting at some minor support with a bit stronger support at the $17 level. Looks like a nice technical trade on the long side. I am in for half a position right here, with some help from the overall market I think I can squeeze out 7%.

SNDK - starting a short position here at $55, too far too fast if you ask me. Loose stop and cover before they start talking about Christmas sales expectations.

PHS - Short $56, why is business different for them? I think they take a hit toward October. 4% stop

ALT - Long from 1.36, oversold bounce play when they start a new trial with that hypertension drug.

MO - Looking at Jan04 45's if I can get them at $1. Tobacco and mayonaise, how can you go wrong?
