Yesterday's news was welcomed by me. It is the logical thing to do and timing is appropriate considering the place the company is in their development. I believe this will cause a gradual increase in the company market cap.
Has anyone here ever tried to communicate directly with the company? I have written to them and was never given the courtesy of a follow up. I have only tried email. Curious if any of you have ever made any contact.
I occasionally see trades for prices between the numbers like .00035. My system (Ameritrade) does not allow for that kind of bid., Anyone here able to use this fractions? Who do you use?
10 day average volume 5.9 mil, today's volume over 250 mil
Yesterday close .00015, so far today, last trade .0004
Last time it traded at .0004 was March 14.
Maybe people got tired of watching paint dry.
Doubt if any news caused it today. No way of knowing. Company hasn't released anything I have seen.
As a stockholder, I don't see any upside if the company does a reverse split. At this level the price cannot go any lower unless the company quits and the value is zero. If the stock splits, say 100,000 for 1, and becomes $10 per share, then the stock can go down again to an even lower total market cap. Unless the company gets its reporting act together a reverse split just exposes the stockholder to more potential devaluation. Am I wrong and missing something?
Don't get excited about the relative big volume yesterday. I was just selling my long term holds for tax planning reasons.
I check the board about twice a month. Guess the pumpers haven't found this stock yet. Maybe no talk is good news.
What we really need to hope for is that someone buys all the 3's being offered. That will bring the bids at 2 up. Then again, what is the catalyst to cause that. No news from management or reports hitting the news wire.
I am seeing over 280 million on the bid side today @ .0002. If my math is right, that is over 3% of the total outstanding shares. Selling side at that price appears to be drying up.
But why would anybody bid more? No news, nothing to cause interest or enthusiasm. Looks like we are stuck here until new info hits. Kind of boring.
What do you make of the large volume on the bid early in the day of 250 mil at 2 and over 50 mil at the ask of 3 then the bid volume just disappeared after the large buy happened. Beginning to think I spend too much time watching this. The details will drive me crazy. No logic. better take a break.
10 day volume has been a little over 11 Mil which is meager but today over 50 mill. I guess that is meager too.
That seems like a jump in volume. Any news?
Been trying to get filled for 10 mil at .0007 for ages and finally able yesterday to get most of them. Surprised how hard it has been to get these filled.
The low hanging fruit just got picked up.
Timing of this move today and the upcoming events/news makes you wonder if the recent increase of buying is a little prophetic.
Some more good news and numbers might just be the catalyst that is needed to establish a new level of trading. I added today thinking it would be my last chance. I honestly was getting a little bored with the 6s and 7s.
A close of .001 or higher today is a healthy chart pattern. Usually a real steep incline can't be sustained but this stock is so far behind that a few days up in the steeper price channel wouldn't be unusual. IMHO
I am hoping that those in a long positions will let this run before jumping out. Like to see the real potential. Buying cheap is usually easy. Patience to hold is a lot harder.
There are probably a lot of folks that bought in the sub .001 and are now taking short term profits thinking this is another one of those spike ups and back into the do nothing area. It would be very tempting to take the money off the table. I have done that a couple times. Not this time. I'm afraid I won't be able to get back in cheap again.
This feels more like a long and steady climb. Really don't want to see it go up too fast but rather slowly climb the wall of worry so the increases become the new normal. I have been loading up on this the last couple weeks. Not going to sell out until we get into pennyland. Truly think it will happen within a year. Looking for a 10X plus on my investment. Momma needs a new dress.
It feels like the company is starting to mature.
I also appreciate the dialogue and the tone today. I have been on here for years. Been watching this stock since its beginning. Even bought some at 50 cents. There have been times it was pretty hard to read the posts.
Thanks for your efforts.
Hopefully there will be some actual facts and news to trade on soon. Made a little money but look to make a lot more.
The last time the volume was this high was on September 1 when we had a run up. It seems that we get a healthier indication of value when the volume exceeds 150 mil a day.
It seems a wall is constantly being built. Another thing that is strange is the very large number of trades that are for just a 1000 shares or less. I have heard about the signaling but that can't be the main reason. Looks like someone is trying to have an effect on the chart. Who in the world would pay a commission on a 1000 trade. The commission is more than the cost of the shares. My commissions are $6.95. a 1000 shares is $1.80.
When I see comments about manipulations, I tend to agree. Looks like someone is trying to hold it down to accumulate shares cheap.
Rambling again. Sorry.
Looking at volume and have developed a concern that less than 0.5% of the shares trade in a day. Doesn't seem like there is much appetite. That's about $54,000 in value for an average daily activity. Then I looked at AT&T and found that it also trades about 0.5% of its shares in a day. Maybe ALKM is not so bad for liquidity for traders as I thought.
Just rambling.
I agree. I was sitting around waiting for the old lows to come back and missed the boat on the big run. I have loaded my boat with all I can stand and will wait for the real facts to come out. The worst part of the company's life is behind now. I see a maturing process starting soon.
It's hard to start a new venture like this from the ground up. The future should be good.
The chart looks good to me. We bounced back really quick. The selling probably came from someone taking profit causing the short term crash just to buy back in.
That's the way the market works. Especially in a stock that is thinly traded on most days. If you have a lot of shares, the volume is just not there to effectively get in and out quickly. I plan on adding all the way up until this company gets proper public notice then the trading volume will be higher and become a real trading stock.
I am glad this happened. It looks like a normal 50% retracement of the last big move on the chart which creates potential for the next leg up. Can't go up all the time.
This way people can't complain about not having a chance. Well I guess they can complain but its hollow.
Looks like someone is trying to put a ceiling on the move.
Volume is already well above the 10 day average. That's a good sign.
I believe this move really looks like the beginning of the spike in January but am expecting it to stay up and not retreat like before. The difference now is the company is actually doing something and is having regular progress to report. Still a young company and is still exploring the possibilities. This is a long term hold not a trade. 5 years out could end up looking like we were a genius. That's the hopeful side of me. Been watching this for a very long time.
The chart pattern looks very much like the end of January of this year that lead to the spike. I prefer this slow steady gain that holds. My nerves like it better too.
Why does anyone buy 200 shares or sell 200 shares. Through the course of a day there are a lot of such trades. Makes no sense to me. Anyone explain this to me? It just seems odd.
Very nice move. Don't be too disappointed if it retraces over the next few days. It is a normal pattern for this stock. Watch the long term trend line for clues to add. Wouldn't be surprised to see some .0007 to .0008s within next two weeks. Just MHO.
Why would someone buy only 5000 shares at a time? The commission would more than the cost of the stock.
Been trying to steal a few at the bottom and the price wouldn't go down to the old lows. Every time I wait for the steal, the stock gets away from me. Decided it was time to start loading. Hoping this will looks cheap in a couple weeks.
Been sitting here and watching the board for a long time. First time buying was at .31 and last one was at .0005. Very thankful to DD and Hatter for the encouragement and information to hang in there. They have been a rare thing on message boards. Reasonable, sane and unselfish with the fruits of their hard work. Just wanted to say thanks and let you know how you are appreciated.
