Fusion or disc repair??
Out of favor stocks???? In this market???
Initial claims soar, housing starts plunge, CPI below expectations, Philly Fed misses with key indicators negative across the board: Market barely phased??? The world which we live......
Gold falling, yet nothing can keep stocks down even for 15 minutes. Unreal these days....
I'd love to see it at $800 or so
Looks like a good call so far...
Almost sounds like a bit of CYA going on like he already knows somethings up
Thanks Eric/Court. I went ahead and bout the computers with Windows 8 out of necessity. Guess I'm going to see how bad it really is and make an adjustment afterwards. Thanks all for the input
I resemble that remark.....
Yea, I have not liked Windows SINCE xp. 7 was not horrible but seem to be getting worse each release. IT guy suggested switching to Apple, just not sure I'm comfortable with that yet.
OT: I'm looking at buying a few new computers for my business pretty soon. I have recently heard that Windows 8 is worse than Vista. Don't see how that is possible but......does anyone use it now or heard of other's experiences with it? Thanks
Rolling!!
Don't see how he can.........except that his pockets are probably stuffed with green backs at every turn.
I'm not saying I don't agree with you both, but how long has collapse been talked about? Long time. And look at Japan. How long can Bernanke print money?
Bad number after bad number and the fake market continues it's climb. Heck, we'll probably close up 200 today!
What the heck just happened?! Looked at the dow and it was up 131, looked bacjk a second later and it was up 7....
Not here, then where? I was also watching it pretty closely...
Noticed they were gettin mighty cheap in the Sunday Best Buy flyer over the weekend...
Unbelievable to me we are as high as we are. Not sure what the driver is. Any news is negative, yet to infinity and beyond....
2nd that!!!!! I busted out very loud!
My 2 kids are 12 boy and 9 girl. I can vouch for the fact that their generation is not expected to do anything. Mine come home from school and start their list of chores and homework and wonder why they can't go over to their friends house to hang out and play because none of the friends have any responsibility or are expected to do anything to help out around the house. Again, just my personal experience.
Thanks. I don't think the waste problem will ever be solved as long as our system works the way it does. Eliminating term limits, lobbying and special interests would be a step in the right direction I think, but it'll probably never happen.
First of all, I'm not here to pick an online fight with anyone. I hope no one takes it that way. My main objective here is to become a better trader/investor. I've been following Nick since the 90s when we were back on Raging Bull or whichever page was before it I believe. 95% why I'm here. The other is that I enjoy hearing/reading other's opinions on some of the off topic subjects that come up.
I had a reply typed up and hit delete by mistake. I'll summarize now because it was probably too long anyway and I'm tired of typing. I don't regret anything I typed in the post you're referring to. We all are entitled to our own opinions and if we were not, we would not be the country we claim. I'm not sure where you are from, but in my part of the world, I've been dealing with those things listed in my post for the better part of 40 years and I hate to say, but it is not "a few bad apples" any longer. I don't need Fox News to tell me what I see on a daily basis. Yes, I watch Fox and I'm glad there is at least that conservative voice for my side. It surely is NOT ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, Matt Lauer, Chris Todd, Ed Schultz, Solidad O'Brien, Alan Colmes, etc etc.
I am obviously conservative. I believe most on this board are, maybe 95%. I typically listened/read posts and did not pipe in very often. Like others, I'm sure, I had enough of listening to one person on this board basically bash the way the majority here thinks (our opinions if you will). Seems like a "You're all stupid, I'm smart, you're all wrong, I'm right" mentality. To me, that is like going to someone's home town and in front of the whole town saying "I hate this place, it sucks". Pretty insulting and disrespectful.
As for your post being the reason for my reply about being labeled a Fox news nut job, it was actually the one below. That post is, in my opinion, also typical of the liberal media channels named above. Conservatives take the bashing for so long and then fight back a little. We are then demonized for doing so which is evident in the post below. Almost like we are supposed to sit back and take it forever. There does become a point when enough is enough.
Again, no disrespect meant to you or anyone on the board, so please do not take it that way. Probably still too long (and you should've seen the uncondensed version I accidentally deleted!)
A Lake Park man “obsessed with Fox News and the Republican party” is in jail today after he told police that he was going to have to kill his girlfriend because she was a “liberal.”

I like it!!
Might there be a pattern forming???
Well, I guess you can jump in the boat with me!! I had such an outburst a while back and was labeled a right wing FOX news watching, hide in the bushes and stalk you down crazy person. Welcome to the show. If noone replies and everyone blocks the bullshit postings, it'll go away.
The highest tax rate under Jimmy Carter was 70%. Is that where you think it should be again? Because as soon as it happened, just like most small to mid-sized businesses who have worked hard and saved for the future, I would take my nest egg, close my doors and wait it out as long as possible (30 more people on unemployment). Since I didn't build it, the government can have it back and good luck running it(most likely into the ground the way they do everything else they touch). Fair share? What is my freakin fair share. 70%, 90%. While others are paying their fair share of 0%, getting food stamps, unemployment, and/or any and all other government entitlements while at the same time walking around in the latest fashion shoes, clothes, hair dolled up and driving the biggest baddest SUV on the planet, with or without the fancy rims or paint job and custom Bose sound system? Get real. When the idiots, Repub and Dem alike find and end the billions and billions they are wasting thru give aways and scams and "bridges to nowhere", then we'll look at the numbers and talk tax increases if needed. Til then.......nope.

A couple of paragraphs does not sum up what he said. Here's the whole story for everyone to come to their own conclusions. Maybe we SHOULD simply stick with Obama's plan since it's working so well. Driving businesses off a cliff and all. His 2nd term goal will probably be to have 100% of Americans on some sort of government handout vs the current 50% on the tat. Hope and Change baby!
Wait, isn't this supposed to be an investment board? Appears to be turning into a 99% conservative investment board with a 1% liberal bashing the conservatives board.
Been outta town. Thanks for the reply.
Eric, I was wondering how small a solar panel can be and expense. 1 inch square? 4 inch square? As well as how much output it supplies and what a panel that small could drive for instance. Thanks for any input.
Hits the nail on the head from zerohedge, nothing really matters anymore with BB to the rescue every time:
Perhaps all of this has gone on for so long, or perhaps because we keep hearing the cries of “Wolf” each week for the last several years, that the markets are impervious to any new cries for help. An odd kind of complacency seems to have set in where nothing matters too much and everything will just be fine. Yesterday’s equity market rally based upon the central banks providing liquidity is just what any serious observer would expect and yet the stock markets rallied as if this was something out of the ordinary which clearly demonstrates either the market’s lack of understanding of real world events or it represents the hype of some hedge fund that was tossed around in the media like it was a new product at Apple. In any event, don’t wake up on Monday morning and think that Greece will have left the Eurozone and returned to the Drachma. That is not how things will play out. In the final analysis it probably all comes down to what price the Germans are willing to pay for dominating Europe.
That would be awesome! Unfortunately, that's one of the things that will probably help continue the downward trajectory. They've gotten accustom to the never ending handouts.
ok. thanks for the reply/info/opinion.
Any thoughts on CHK ?
OR 25......It only makes sense that 400,000 people lose their jobs every WEEK, 115,000 new jobs are created every MONTH and the unemployment rate drops. No? More gubermint fabrication
Was thinking the same thing when I just looked at the price drop
I guess overnight the European worries are fixed, again, housing at a decade low is good and drop in consumer confidence is positive.........
Oh, what a week will do......back to not all better in Europe. Shocker!
Gettin there! I have a feeling you'll make it this week.
