We are # 3 on most active boards. Sure are a lot of people perusing what goes on here. Seems like a lot of interest in DNAP. Well deserved I might add. Here's the top 10

OT: Thanks to all for your posts, concerns, thoughts and prayers. Our son is home and recovering well. The doc (who is rated as the best spinal surgeon in the US) said he has a 99.9 % chance of 100 % recovery and that he should be able to do anything he wants after 6 months have passed, including bunjee jumping. I truly believe that your thoughts and prayers contributed to this overwhelming success.
I am looking forward to a great year with DNAP. I truly believe the age of personalized medicine is gathering a head of steam and wil be very profitable for most who are on the forefront of research and patentable discoveries.
Thanks again to all and hope everyone has a happy, joyous and profitable New Year

OT: A Heartfelt THANK YOU for all of you praying for our sons recovery. He just came out of his cervical spine repair surgery (11 hrs under anesthesia). The doc gives him a 99.9 % chance of full recovery. My wife and I wish each and every one of you the Merriest of Christmases and the Happiest of New Year. The power of prayer is a wonderful thing and YES He does listen.
Gotta go so for now be safe, be warm, and give your dearest a hug.

Doug and Manti.
Thanks for your knowledge and opinions. It has eased my concerns. I do feel this is a VERY good move on the company's part and am looking forward to that proverbial trip TDM.

After reading those opinions on the distribution of shares during payout and if they get more shares keeping the PPS low, I share the same concerns as BBBabe. On the positive side it would keep the dilution of shares at a minimum.
Damned if you do and damned if you dont.
Gonna get cold here in S Fla in a couple of days. Down to the fifties. Brrrrr. Keep warm all you folks up North. Arch, Keep that travel trailer warmed up. Do you keep snow tires on it in the winter. LOL.

Question regarding the financing.
Is LaJolla to be awarded all of the discounted shares up front or are they to be rationed out as each months payment is received? If being doled out each month, are they awarded based on the discounted share price at the time payment is received? In other words would LaJolla receive a less number of discounted shares if share price dramatically increases?
“The Sarasota research and development company announced on Wednesday that it had signed a financing agreement with La Jolla Cove Investors Inc. of La Jolla, Calif.
The group will pay $400,000 a month for 20 months for DNAPrint common stock. DNAPrint will price the shares at an undisclosed discount based on the then-current trading price.
I have not seen this topic discussed on the threads from the past several days.
Thank you in advance for your thoughts on this matter. Thanks also to everyone for your opinions, both positive and negative, regarding all the other opinions, ideas and threads expressed.
Just another ignorant investor who is long and very strong on DNAP

Billycal - I actually appreciate contrarian views. It makes the brain work harder and makes one think of other possibilities. I am a strong holder of DNAP (>1Mil) and look forward to a bright future with this company. Even though some have become negative when many things did not happen as fast as they thought they would, I am here for the long term and working towards early retirement.
I don't have the time to do the DD as many do here. I work 70 to 80 hrs /wk.
Those that do express their research and thoughts have my utmost respect.
Thaks all for your input.
Good luck to you Billycal and GL2A

Billycal - Good to see you on the "intelligent" board. Only go back to RB on occasion and then wonder why. Looking forward to your insights again.

OT: Chris & Miss Scarlett
Sorry to hear 'bout them Giants.
But not toooooooo sorry
I think they just didn't have the heart that the Marlins did. Both teams played well but the Marlins came out on top.
Barry never got a chance to show his stuff.
Atlanta tied it up with the Cubs. The Marlins actually have a much better record defeating the Braves than the Cubs. Wish you the best of luck Miss Scarlett, that is until the Braves meet the Marlins.
Goooooooo FISH!!!!!!!!

PS - I still like you all.
OT: Miss Scrarlet - All the braves have to do is not pitch to Barry and it takes him out of the equation. That will turn the Giant into a dwarf.
Re: the forensics conference in California in a couple of weeks (or is it 1 week)? What are the chances that DNAP will be introducing the WITNESS 3.0 with Retinome and RetinomeH there. I saw where retinome copyright has expired. Do we have copyright for RetinomeH. Could our accreditation be announced there also. Hope it is not just a rehash of what was accomplished in LA this past year (not meaning to minimize what we did, just looking for advances by the company).

OT - Go Marlins!! Being a South Florida native, someone has to root for them. We have more fans (snowbirds) here for NY teams than we do for the Marlins.
Nice little 13 % increase in SP today.
Looking forward to the coming weeks.
BTW Marlins are going to win the NL title.

I didn't like the NOLES from both sides of the compass.

Some crime lab accreditation info.
Article from 8/25/03
Only New York, Oklahoma, and Texas require accreditation for crime labs. Because the process is both a time- and dollar-intensive procedure, most labs opt not to do it. Forensic science has a long history of independence, and accreditation is not highly regarded by those in the field, says Mike Haas, registrar for the ABC.
According to the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLAD/LAB) in Garner, NC, of the 400 to 500 labs performing forensic work, 240 are fully accredited and 25 currently are seeking accreditation. Ralph Keaton, executive director of ASCLD-LAB, says the process of attaining laboratory accreditation includes examinations for proficiency testing, testimony monitoring, documentation, and validation of procedures and of the physical lab.
A lot of work for something not mandatory, but in light of recent events, Caroline Caskey, president of Identigene, would not have it any other way. "I think all labs should require accreditation," she says. "I think what happened in Houston and in other places is a testament to that."

Just a few notes from research info at Universities
From a paper dated July 2003
These about licensing revenues from research
John Fraser, director of technology transfer at fourth-place Florida State University (FSU), says his school's $62.1 million in FY 2001 was almost entirely based on royalties from Bristol-Myers Squibb for exclusive use of a patented process to manufacture the anticancer drug Taxol. "For us this is a major blockbuster. It's just enormous," Fraser says. "It swamps anything else we've done."
Gone from 2001's top-10 life sciences technology list are Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Duke University. They were replaced in 2002 by the University of Michigan, University of Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania State University.
My comments
There is a huge amount of money in drug developement research
Shows we are working with some of the best minds in academia. GL2A
