And you don't put $20 Million into a company without expectations of significant returns. My investment is so much less and theirs is based on future revenues. This is a very encouraging development.
The news is spreading. I'm going to have to get some money in my brokerage account, so I can pick up some of the cheap ASK prices from someone trying to hold down the price.
Once this leads to revenues on the balance sheet, this stock is exploding. GLTA!
Great News!
A real encouragement that accomplished scientists are joining the team. They are smart people who know whether this is the real deal and I'd say that they see that this is indeed the real deal. Not sure how anyone would be brave enough to sell, but obviously there are always sellers if there are going to be buyers. So, as a long time investor, I'm excited for what the future holds.
On a side note, I bought some shares for my adult kids for Christmas. They are reall excited about it.
Trouble if made with Cadmium. QMC makes Cadmium-free quantum dots! Another plus for what QMC has to offer.
Should be an exciting December!
Over half million in bids at a price I picked up a few more at just 2 days ago. Not sure we'll see those prices ever again. Maybe somebody will shake out and sell a few, but I doubt it.
GLTA!
Good to hear. Just reaffirms that partnering with ND to produce the films with QMC dots may finally result in new QD displays in mass quantities and at lower price points.
Totally right on!
Conferences market themselves some are good, some repeat a lot each conference, it is not necessary to attend every conference to be known or network. Nice that they were quoted as having attended in the past.
GLTA!
I love the fact that they say QDs are definitely the way to go and the pace of adoption is growing rapidly. Finally, there are negatives that have all been addressed by QMC. I see a very bright and colorful future coming soon.
I realized that. I just think it is confirmation of the approach of building the miroreactor that QMC has exclusive rights to use. And it says this company will be available for any new reactor developments that may be needed in the future.
And as I say, to me, the reactor is one of the features of the QMC approach that allows them to scale up to meet demand and minimize the cost per dot so effectively for them over the competition.
Thanks for sharing.
Great news indeed!
This really explains the biggest advantage QMC presents. It is the fact that they partnered with Flowid to create this streamlined process for creating uniform and high-quality quantum dots that can be brought to market quickly and easily (not a big multi-billion pound investment). This will blow away the competetion when demand becomes tremendous (and it is now picking up rapidly).
The other aspects are that they have the best ideas on quantum dots when it comes to using tetrapod quantum dots and have solved the problem of high temperatures as well.
Everything just keeps looking better and better. Now, we just need to see revenues and the sky truly is the limit on this.
GLTA!
Reading this explains why the JDA with the film maker is so important. This would allow everyone to incorporate quantum dots into their displays (TVs, Computers, etc). Only problem is cost and with QMC's manufacturing technique they will really bring down the cost.
Things are really coming together well.
GLTA!
Seem to be focused on minor things when no news. We need to see revenue no doubt about that. But to me they now have a mandate to get to major index. That would lead to cleaning up the books. They have secured two good JDA's. They continue to attract the right kind of board members and employees even with no publicly stated revenues.
So, I'm still hopeful for good news to raise us to the next level and eventual long term significant gains. GLTA!
We just need to hear that QMC is selling and maybe even ordering up a new reactor to meet growing demand and this will explode I was finally able to buy some more yesterday and am very happy with my new holdings. GLTA!
Agree. I thought 5 - 10 years about 5 years ago.
GLTA!
The reason I bought Qtmm some 5 years ago. Each day we get closer to hearing something amazing from Solterra. It has been flying under the radar long time. I'm ready to see it soar.
It is AOU that I keep thinking is working with QMC to develop a QD display. So, if there non-QD displays shipments are dropping and Samsungs displays are picking up because they have quantum dots, then it just adds to my speculation that AOU may in fact be working hard to get a QD display to market.
Thanks for the info and as always GLTA!
Since it is from Texas State listing grants they received, I'd say it is QMC funding university studies per their Star Park arrangements I would think.
I don't know but, about a year ago, someone posted a graph of manufacturers of 4K panels and there were two other manufacturers that I didn't recognize (not LG, Samsung or Sony) that were the leaders in producing 4K panels. They were used by almost all the other company's (including LG and Sony) as source for their panels.
They were the leading producers, so wouldn't it be great to have the unknown Asian company that we are supplying Quantum Dots be one or both of them.
GLTA!
Sounds like they are doing some of the same things with their Q-dots as we are doing. I do hope they succeed with making Q-dots the wave of the future across all those areas. Because I believe of course that the process that QMC has developed for making quality quantum dots that can be quickly modified to whatever specification the user desires at a very low cost and footprint for manufacture will ultimately win out over a bulky plant manufacturing process.
However, I'll be very happy to let Dow and Nanaco bring the technology to the fore-front of the way to do lighting and displays and whatever other applications that would make Q-dots the future. Because I know that QMC will be way ahead of making sufficient quantities available at a lower cost, with better quality. Henry Ford didn't invent the automobile, but he made it possible for everyone to own one. I think that is what QMC will do for the Quantum Dot industry.
GLTA!
Right on! For some looking for quick gains, today's news is not enough. For those looking long term, it is the next step in ramping up to continuous revenues and expanding opportunity. This will most certainly not be all there is, the progress is steady and this provides validation from a display manufacturer. Given the fact that they did not release the name, I'd assume it is one that would prefer to not "tip it's hand yet as to what it is doing". However, I suspect with the growing presence in retail of QD displays, it will not be long (2 months max) before we hear about product availability with a display containing QMC dots. GLTA!
Good reminder that we are not just focused on displays, but on a low-cost method of production with consistent quatlity. Meaning that as uses of Quantum Dots grow, the possiblities for using the Quantum Materials method of production grows exponentially.
Here is an earlier article on Natcore's use of quantum dots in solar energy.
https://genesisnanotech.wordpress.com/2015/02/17/industry-breakthrough-natcore-produces-first-germanium-quantum-dot-based-solar-cell/
For what it may be worth, I think before year-end, we will not only have heard of multiple display manufacturer's using our quantum dot production technique, but also at least one solar cell producer using it (Solterra) as well.
Exciting times are ahead. GLTA!
Very patient. I don't know how people can so patiently wait to buy. At any moment someone(s) could become aware of the great potential this technology has and how uniquely qualifited this company is to be the ultimate leader in the field. If I had extra cash, I would have bought last week. I had hoped to have a house closing that would give me extra cash this coming week, but now it is delayed until end of August. That may still be a good time to buy, but I would not be surprised if this soon reaches .50 and by end of August it could be over $1.
If I'm lucky, this will continue to climb slowly, but I'm thinking once the word is out, this will be flying.
Good Luck to You!
Different world this time.
Though I agree we need to see sales, the fact is they are progressing nicely on just the right things and now it is not only a few of us saying Quantum dots are the thing, but it seems to have caught on with all kinds of display manufacturers and I'm reading about their uses in so many new things. The exciting thing is this company is ready and able to deliver on the promise of QD. I don't see a pull back coming this time unless there is some serious flaw in the next public announcement (like failure to land any contracts). So, once again, good luck to all!
AGREED! Great news, but share price will not move until proof comes by way of acceptance in the marketplace. However, trading will dry up a bit. I can't imagine why anyone would want to sell on this news and if I get a chance to get some money in the pot, I will be a buyer of additional shares.
GLTA!
Awesome. Saw a TED Presentation some time back which talked about how those who perceive of manufacturing as big buildings taking a long time to develop will be left in the dust. This is exactly the kind of manufacturing that is cost effective, fast, and efficient:
"Quantum Materials' patented continuous flow process does not require the massive and costly factory construction used by competitors to scale production and also allows the company to locate production facilities at or near large-scale customers' production sites, simplifying their supply chain management and eliminating the logistical challenges of shipping sensitive materials across borders."
The future looks brighter and brighter!!!!
I'm with you Spartak,
It's been a long time and yet everything just seems to be lining up so well. Reminds me of a Saturn 5 rocket. Took a long time to get it all together and then when it comes time to launch, it starts out oh so slowly off the launch pad. But with the hard work behind it and the power and thrust that it has, eventually it is travelling at amazing rates of speed ever upward.
I see this announcement as perhaps the ignition stage of the launch of quantum materials. As always, I wish everyone the best on this investment. It has an amazing opportunity when you see new uses for them popping up every day.
GLTA!
Maybe Art will have a different take, but based on my years in computers, there are many conferences one could attend. So much, that you could spend all your time travelling and not get any work done. So, you have to learn to pick and choose the ones that will help the most. I dare say this could be the case here. They were there last year and so maybe they didn't see value in doing it again at this time.
The most important thing is that the interest in Quantum Dots is ramping up and the only thing holding it back seems to be the need for volume production. The fact that QMC is poised to provide volume production with a patented process for high quality quantum dots is exactly where we need to be.
As others have stated, we just need to hear of a contract being signed and then that the quality and timeliness of the production process will lead to further contracts, expansion and growth.
GLTA!
May be that Bayer will be the big backing we need to take off.
They've provided additional patents.
They have now provided expertise:
"Dr. Krueger has extensive experience working with academic and industrial partners including Bayer Technology Services GmbH to synthesize semiconductor quantum dots and integrate them into lighting and light conversion, photovoltaic and bio-analytical applications."
Wouldn't be surprised if next we here they are providing funding and/or a retail outlet for selling our products.
Everything is really looking up, up, up.
GLTA!
Yes, money and reputation on the line.
Totally agree. But I still see some really smart people working at QMC who I believe want this to succeed even more than I do. So, I remain optimistic.
Wondering what is going on? I agree that they are not just twiddling their thumbs. So, consistent with their past, it feels like something is up and they wanted to get 10Q out so they can maintain silence until they are ready to announce.
I'm sure we'd all like to see a major announcement in the 10Q, but really, it is just a required statement with real numbers about what most of us already know. The fact is, it is a company with a lot of potential, with lots of suppliers and employees betting on the company as well because they are getting paid in warrants.
I would think the real news will come on us suddenly in a press release or something that tangibly states they have signed a contract or have entered into a joint development agreement with another company.
Possible next week when Dr. Jhaboor speaks at a conference or maybe just a press release from Art.
All in all, this 10Q does say they are doing their job, meeting requirements of SEC and pushing on. What more could we expect at this point. Maybe we'll hear yet this week.
GLTA!
Great opportunity for new investor.
I'm sure you could still pick up a few cheapies for awhile, but wow, I saw almost 100,000 shares available on the ask for .25 and less. That would be sweet pick up for a new investor. I'm stilling holding way more than that, so am only looking to add a few like you.
GLTY!
Strong Feeling we will hear news tomorrow or Thursday.
Anyone else feeling it? Perhaps there is something special about 10/15?
In any case, GLTA!
If I had the cash, I'd buy him out. But I'm fully loaded and waiting.
Maybe boosted by news before long.
With all the samples out to such diverse groups as:
Biotech engineering new medical detection and treatment.
Solar cells using the unique properties of TQD's to improve efficiency.
Battery technology using QD's to extend Lithium Ion battery life 4x.
3D printing taking off and QD's using to protect copyrighted items.
and many more...
We could see news and revenues at any time.
GLTA!
You are correct that in and of themself a Non Disclosure Agreement means just what you said. I think the key take away is they have 25 of them indicating a breadth of interest that is very rewarding.
In my experience, it can take time to get an NDA worked out between companies just because it involves lawyers and indicates some level of serious investigation.
So, like fishing you can put a pole in the water and you may not catch anything. But if you got 25 poles in the water, you still may not catch anything, but your odds are much better.
GLTA!
QMC keeping the pedal to the metal! GO! -eom
Wouldn't be a surprise. Nothing like a good PR that you can reference on the day you are being interviewed.
This could result in the launch of a whole new round of buying. I wish I could muster the dough to buy up that block sitting at 21 cents. May be the last time to buy in the 20's.
