i think, the tests will not be completed before November.
nice boat. what part of the country r u in?
14%? that is awesome!!!! oh wait, those 170,ooo shares that traded moved the stock $0.001. So that 14% is what $170 on the entire days' trading volume. 14%? that is awesome!!!!!!
What are you talking about? English, please.
bright side:
at least MMTC has had a modicum of trading activity through out the past year or so. nothing real big in or real big out. albeit mostly downward movement, with a little bump over the past month, there are still eyes on the stock. if trading volume starts showing up zeroes, then we all need to worry. but as long as there are eyes on the stock, we shold be OK.
Dig, pls elaborate on 'when you match your products to specific customers with different requirements'. What does that even mean?
KGEM - mgmt did not keep its promise. do not kid yourself or others. here was their promise:
SAN CLEMENTE, CA--(Marketwire - 09/14/10) - Micro Identification Technologies, Inc. (OTC.BB:MMTC - News) (MIT) announces that its plans to start production of the MIT 1000 System remain on-track to begin later this year. Critical sub-system electronics were successfully tested and the remaining tasks that include the build and test of the first production System present no additional challenges for MIT and its contract manufacturer, OSI Optoelectronics.
They have built, but not fully tested the first production system. And, they are not 'in production' with the units. Pls do not try to pass off putting together 1 not-fully-tested unit as starting production.
SAN CLEMENTE, CA--(Marketwire - 01/04/11) - Micro Identification Technologies, Inc. (OTC.BB:MMTC - News) (MIT) announced that it received the first production MIT 1000 System from OSI Optoelectronics (OSIO), a subsidiary of OSI Systems on December 24, 2010 and stated that initial test results are superb.
All that bummerness said, their latest promises - actual production in Q1 2011 - are not that bad and very much what i had as expectations. This start-up stuff is not easy and if they can stay even 1Q behind schedule that is OK with me. I have stated many times that I am not expecting any pay back on my investment until the summer.
Wouldn't add here - we were at .005 and below not long ago. IMHO, we will see those levels again before we go anywhere of significance on price.
At some point, you do need to ask yourself ... with all this buzz in the market, why are they unable to get a pittance of financing?
i am confused - what are you sorry about? I thought my pick up at .0044 was a good thing - a 100% pick up in 3 weeks. i am a hair's breadth from being even on this thing.
i am not bashing this stock - why would i do that - i own a (for me) significant stake. i just don't like the spread of false optimism. i think this company is in trouble. testing 1 unit is not production. it is testing. they still need financing. they have missed dates and not updated anyone.
i believe mgmt needs to come to the carpet and say what is going on - but like KGEM said, they will probably not do it in the holidays - they should have done it already is my point.
'producing and complete testing of their first OSIO manufactured MIT 1000 this year.'
that, to me, does not equate to production, nor a salable unit, nor revenue, nor financing. they have a long way to go, imho
like i said - i already doubled down at .0044 and i am holding long.
i thought you were trading on week to week horizon?
i already said i was long, but pissed that dates are sliding with no news
I am off work and the kids are in school so i am looking for stuff to do - i guess i am watching my holdings WAY to close.
You know by now i am a nit picker detail freak when it comes to just about everything and i have a hard time passing up what i think are blatant factless pumps. sorry.
Re 'OSIO has or is producing the MIT 1000', based on what do you say this? There was no pres release, was there? quantities?
i don't see any chart that looks particularly good to me - any parameters you could elucidate ?
if you're in for the weekly flip you just missed a 110% run in the past 3 weeks, maybe there is still some mo left in it.
and what is that opinion based on - i don't mind opinions, but i do like to know their bases.
i see a tiny company that is not meeting its strategic plan and the stock has gotten pummelled accordingly.
i see a company that has not had substantive news since 9/29.
shocker: i see a company that can't get financing to complete the tasks at hand.
i dabbled at .03, thought i saw an opportunity at .02 and doubled down at .0044. my target has always be spring-to-summer 2011 but i am losing confidence in Hi-Tek John and the crew.
look at the 6-month chart
increasing volume is good only if the share price is even or up; increasing volume and down its bad. in the past 3 months there have been 13 days over 1mm shares - 10 of them down, including the largest volume day (3mm) in 6 months.
TA does not work well on low-volume stocks - how can you do TA when there days of 10k trading. momentum is +, but at .001, not real strong.
Kgem, how is this starting to sound good again?
Vinwhim,
'It should, and will, be reported on this board.'
Like a hundred times, my man, we get it. The bill passed and still no production. Had mgmt made their date, this point would be moot.
What about the chart makes you so excited?
Good God! ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vinwhim you are off the rails. The company has missed its primary goal for the year - starting production at OSIS - and you are posting this tripe? Ohghgh. I may be PMSing and all ... but can you just go on radio silence until something actually happens here.
Help me out here Ysung, Marcello, am i just on a flyer here or is this nonsense grating your last fiber too.
Vinwhim - you have gone completely vapid again. Back to reality please. There is no product in the market (from MMTC) that can bridge that gap from your New York Times article to MMTC success.
You should be highlighting the part of MMTC's plan that says they would have been in production by now. MMTC has missed its plan to roll out this year. Does anyone else se that? We all should be calling for mgmt's collective head on a stake at this point. Where are the pitchforks?
Ugh ... why is this board so full of BS ... ok, I'll engage ... what could possibly be making you excited these days? Mgmt is missing its plan for production in 2010 and you are excited. Please elaborate.
KGEM, can you expand on 'mgmt informs me'?
Was that a phone call? An email you copy here? Any more details?
I emailed the company a couple days ago and have received nothing.
Jane
any news should now make this thing move - any news - financing, first units rolling out, sales commits ... anything.
otherwise, mgmt is looking really bad - like what is wrong here - HUGE market potential and they can't get 5 MM in financing. makes one start to wonder about the technology.
what has the latest communication from the company been.
my last email exchange was back in mid november - anyone have anything more recent that they would like to share?
or any other insightful DD about the company itself?
news clippings about recent recalls? no need to post them for me, thanks
Amen to that DG! As you know, i was no fan of QS's thinly-veiled pumps.
Thanks TG for stepping up.
