All you are seeing is Bartoszek dotting his i's and crossing his t's in order to cover his own butt, not making an effort to comeback. I don't understand why people keep giving a common lowlife swindler (that would be Bartoszek) the benefit of the doubt, over, and over, and over, again?!
If he is trying to make a comeback don't you think he would break his silence and make some innocuous statement just to show he still gives a crap about his shareholders?? I added the term innocuous for those who will say "but the lawyers won't let him make a statement", which is a popular defense of the shyster.
It's over! It has been for a long time-accept it.
While your answer is factually correct, it is not the response that RSJ is looking for. He still feels like Mike is doing his best and working hard to fix this company. It wasn't any dishonesty by Mike that has us in this situation afterall, it was the meanies over at the SEC.
To some investors facts don't matter. 99% of us understand that we were essentially conned by Bartoszek, a common criminal in my opinion. But there is still 1% that doesn't get it, and never will until LLEG is officially declared bankrupt. And even that day may never come. We may languish here for a long, long, time.
I will agree with you on two of your points:
1) Yes, you are totally delusional and,
2) the blame is really on ourselves.
But, you are NOT in the same category as all of those who have lost here. 99% of us realized long ago that we have been taken to the cleaners by a con artist. We have accepted we have been scammed, and admit to it. I personally was crucified on this board long before the SEC stepped in because I dared to "call out" Bartoszek on many issues, but many people did not want to face the fact that he was misleading us. At least now this board is in almost unanimous agreement, except for you. Now you say, "lleg was never a scam", "if the SEC didn't pounce"-it is the fault of the SEC, "all pinks do it, so whats the problem", "he knew in his heart he was doing what was best", "his bilking us out of thousands of dollars is like rolling through a stop sign, we all do it"!! No one is in that category, you have it all to your self. And it is personally insulting to be lumped into it with you.
I learned several personal investing lessons from this debacle, and I paid about 50K for that lesson. I was conned and I am not proud of it. But complete and utter denial will not bring my money back, and I am smart enough to see that.
Why this Friday of course! The 31st of February!
BBFL -- everything in your post is based in fantasy, not fact.
Perhaps you can take the advice of your fellow "true long" Matt, even though it slipped his mind to mention it to you:
This is a fresh year, if LLEG wants to air it out there and provide all the details, whether ugly or not, we owe it to ourselves to remove spin.
I love that advice. And it should be practiced by all.
I would be curious as to why you chose the posting of Bearspread to call out supposed "spin"--
This is a fresh year, if LLEG wants to air it out there and provide all the details, whether ugly or not, we owe it to ourselves to remove spin.
Bear has posted nothing but logical analysis on LLEG since he has joined us. You cannot blame him that much of the analysis paints LLEG management in a negative light, you can only blame Bartoszek.
Yet you allow other posts that are "obvious spin" to slip right past without criticism, such as post #102323. Could you define "spin" for us? Or am I correct to assume that you disapprove of only "negative" spin?
I don't believe anyone is buying the story that most longs are feeling all warm and fuzzy about any success Cate St is having in Berlin. That is almost as ridiculous as "Mike still has my trust because he has earned it!!! I agree that it would make my 50K loss a lot easier to stomach if Bartoszek the flim-flam man were indicted, it would almost be money well spent considering how I feel about him.
While I would be surprised if a criminal indictment were to occur, I wonder if any of you have ever heard of a shareholder, or group of shareholders, bringing a civil action against a CEO such as Bartoszek? The burden of proof is considerably less in a civil action, and I truly believe that if all the information was available to us, it would be evident Bartoszek conned us all. Anyone ever hear of such an action?
I have a very good source who has informed me that it is Santa Claus buying up all the shares. Apparently he has encountered a shortage of coal this season, so all of the bad children are receivng LLEG shares in their stockings, in place of coal.
Here is a link to another post that has links to explain what that all means.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=69903443
The first youtube link gives a very detailed explanation, even though it is quite lengthy.
I agree RSJ, it is funny. I am getting a visual of Bartoszek pushing aside a mother and her child as he jumps into a lifeboat with the name S.S. Laidlaw printed on the back.
And in the background the violins were playing a chorus of "Mike has my trust because he has earned it", even as the ship is sinking.
And you think that WHY?
He certainly has shown his true colors since the suspensions. He was so quick to respond to criticism on this board, yet when the time comes to show what kind of man he really is, he does a vanishing act. Michael Bartoszek you should be ashamed of yourself. At least be a man and admit your mistakes instead of acting like the coward you appear to be.
No it isn't.
Relative to what many paid originally, myself included, it may seem like a great buy. But the fact is that a lot of people got caught up in buying a hyped, overpriced stock, without a solid foundation of fundamentals. And now that we know that the foundation we lacked prior is actually made of quicksand, the lower price certainly does not equate to a "great buy".
LLEG is, and always was, Fool's Gold.
Oh sure, the negative speculation is what has driven the pps down. The suspension, the grey sheets, the SEC investigation, and the lack of acknowledgement from your idol Bartoszek has nothing to do with the plummeting pps, right? No one actually believes that--just like no one actually believes that others are still buying right now.
Nice summation of LLEG "today".
But let us not forget that "TODAY" we have a CEO that seems to have forgotten about the common shareholders. Apparently he is moving forward on another payday for his gang, yet he has abandoned us. There is no NDA, there is no gag order from the lawyers or the SEC--there is only a conniving CEO whose only concern is for his inner circle.
It is based on the fact that most CEO's are not imcompetent like your beloved Bartoszek.
Are you seriously suggesting that Renergy concluded the Susanville transaction and failed to notice that LLEG was suspended, it's stock devalued, and that it is languishing on the Grey Market? I guess this shows just how hard it is to put a positive spin on LLEG these days.
Who cares? Is it really that important? Although, I guess since Bear has been pretty much dead-on with his analysis over the past months, those who still hold Bartoszek in high regard will take any chance to prove him wrong, even with something so inconsequential as this discussion.
The bottom line is that anyone who thinks Cate would agree to a $20 million loan to Bartoszek, is delusional.
Again I would love for Mike to come out and at least say the paperwork has been filed. I don't see where that could be thought of as misleading the shareholders in any way.
I think that it is time for you to accept the fact that uplisting is not going to happen. The fact that Mike has not announced a filing is not because it would be thought of as misleading, it is because Mike has no intention of attempting to uplist. He has made his empty promise on several occasions spanning several years, and that was before the SEC suspension and the devaluation of the common stock.
Mike Bartoszek is a liar and his so called "energy company" is a fraud. It is really that simple.
Iron, I too will be holding on to my shares for the time being. I have lost so much that at this point that I will now risk the stock becoming worthless (I would say more worthless but that makes no sense) rather than selling now for an almost complete loss.
My current optimism lies in the fact that several of our fair weather shareholders have made an appearance on todays news. As far as we know this news does not help the shareholders at all, yet the circus is preparing to open once again. If the shareholders can drive up the price enough to provide enough volume to sell large blocks, I will be gone. I have had my fill of the ringmaster Bartoszek and his LLEG three ring circus.
There is no chance of selling large blocks at .0004 - .0005 today.
And you ask "why not take what you can get?" That is simple. Because while I have absolutely zero faith in Bartoszek and his team, I have tremendous faith in many of the shareholders. From day one this stock has been driven entirely by emotion rather than fundamentals. While so far the emotion has been rather mild, it would not take much until everyone would be praising Bartoszek for ressurecting LLEG from the dead. They would forget that LLEG died at his hand, and once again blindly follow Bartoszek and their dreams of wealth.
So I am putting my faith in the LLEG faithful to once again let emotions drive this stock to a point where it is possible to sell here on the Greys. Uplisting to the Pinks would require action by management, and we all know that will not happen.
This is Great news! Although my reasons for the excitement are probably not shared with many other LLEG shareholders.
In my opinion this may be the beginning of an exit strategy for me. We all just received news that means nothing, as usual, without some clarification from Bartoszek. Why didn't this news come from Bartoszek directly? Wouldn't this have been a fantastic opportunity for Bartoszek to come clean on the SEC fiasco? He could have ended with a nice statement telling us about this new agreement, and shown everyone he is still concerned with the shareholders, and that the company is moving forward. But instead we are all back here wondering what is happening.
What gives me hope is that I am already reading how this is great news and how LLEG is not dead. We are heading down the same path that we took upon delisting--the praise is beginning, instead of the demands for answers. Hopefully the emotional swell will keep rising, and along with it maybe an artificial demand will be created, and I can sell this dog.
So, I will do my part to help create a buzz. I am sure we will all be reading the following words sometime soon, but until such time, please enjoy:
MIKE HAS MY TRUST, BECAUSE HE HAS EARNED IT ! ! !
I WILL CONTINUE TO HOLD STRONG. NOT LETTING GO OF MY SHARES IN A PANIC or BASED ON SPECULATION ! ! ! !
PATIENCE IS STILL KEY WHILE WE AWAIT MORE INFORMATION FROM MIKE / LLEG ! ! !
EVER FORWARD, EVER UPWARD ! ! ! !
LOOKING FORWARD TO ANOTHER GREAT DAY, WEEK, MONTH AND YEAR WITH LLEG !!!
AS ALWAYS,
GO LONG ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
KEEP THE FAITH ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
ENHANCE YOUR CALM ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
STAY THE COURSE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
GO LLEG ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Actually, I think it is the real Bartoszek, and that is the new headquarters of LLEG. If you look close at the green mini-bus you can see the antenna, and that would be the office of Mr. Ed, which is also the LLEG communications center. Keep up the good work guys!
Apparently so. I was hoping that Bartoszek would dress up and act like a competent CEO for halloween, but it seems that would be to much of a stretch for him.
"I'd appreciate it if you would stop circulating this inaccurate information.
It is truly comical that someone from LLEG would write the above quote, and then they use the old "someone hacked our web site" defense. What a bunch of clowns. They are concerned about information that is being circulated, yet, they make no effort to "circulate" the correct information to those of us who have lost 10's of thousands of dollars, because of them.
Why not give us the correct information Bartoszek? Come on Bart, man-up for a change.
Ya know Bad Gambler, I saw the post to which you just replied, and it just made me laugh--I couldn't even bring myself to respond. I think your answer to the question is pretty much spot on.
It is great news if your name is Bartoszek--He finally gets his payday for himself and his cronies. As far as the shareholders are concerned, not so great.
And I would also be inclined to call a project management company that is disguised as an energy company in order to attract investors,
well......"a stupid penny scam".
The fact that Mr. Ed is still returning emails and phone calls truly has me puzzled--although he certainly could be returning emails from his couch at home, and have the Investor Relations phone forwarded to his Blackberry. Bartoszek has completely alienated his shareholders, yet Mr. Ed keeps towing the company line about how hard they are all working to resolve things???? *scratching head*
Wow Steve that is a hilarious post! Just curious what "compotent" means?
LLEG will never fly because the pilot is incompetent.
If LLEG had not been suspended, and Bartoszek had not been exposed as the fraud he is, and if he were still in good standing with Cate Street, I can guarantee you that he would have been front and center at the groundbreaking. The fact that Laidlaw is no longer involved does not mean that they did not play an integral part and would not have been invited.
As it stands he cannot show himself in a public forum because he may be put in a position to answer questions that he obviously does not want to address. And considering Bartoszek is under investigation and in hiding from his shareholders, no one in Berlin would want to be seen within a mile of him.
Whatta ya say Mikey, How bout you man up and let everyone know whats goin on? Nevermind, that would show some class and character, not your strongest traits.
I agree with everything you have written. Although the finger is squarely pointing at Bartoszek only! The SEC, as well as Cate Street, were only doing their jobs. There is only one person here to blame--you out there Bartoszek?
Why are you concerned about "recognition" for a man who has shown such disrespect for you and I, his shareholders? Would you feel better if he was at the groundbreaking, taking credit, getting his picture taken, at the same time we sit here and watch our hard earned money lose 100% every day? For months he has sat idle, refusing to talk to us, even as his company and our money goes down the toilet, and you are upset because he is not receiving accolades over his role in Berlin? Wow! I don't get it.
Pooooooor Bartoszek. He isn't getting his picture in the paper! That tends to happen when you are an exposed con man who is under investigation. I could care less if Bartoszek and his den of thieves does not receive any credit for things they may or may not have done. What is SICK is the fact that this coward is hiding out while his company and our money sinks deeper every day. You out there Mike?
I am sure before he was exposed as a fraud he would have not missed the opportunity to have his picture taken for any reason. But I would be shocked if he showed his face in public at this point, for the very reason you brought up--someone may come to the groundbreaking for the sole purpose of asking him questions. And he will have none of that. He is a coward whose only concern is for himself. Are you reading this Bartoszek?
Interesting choice of words......a steal. It seems to fit since the CEO is nothing more than a common thief who has disappearred into the night with our money.
Was referring to the number of zeroes.....but I am sure you know that.
So here we sit in the low 000s, with the 0000s just around the corner.
The discussion here has brought up past issues that your beloved CEO has been involved with, and these include, but are not limited to: lies, misinformation, fraud, bankruptcy, unpaid debt, and all while having interest in over a dozen different companies. Most of the information put forth would be very simple to dispute if it were not true, yet your beloved CEO has never even made a statement defending himself. No lawsuit necessary, just put out a statement disproving the facts and ask for a retraction--yet he has never done so.
And still you post:
And according to some here, that is a bonified trader trying to sell a few shares. Yea, right... It gets the opening on Monday at a bargain if anyone is stupid enough to sell.
Just to clarify, do you honestly think that there is manipulation of this stock going on???
Do you honestly believe that anyone who sells is stupid?
If you honestly believe those statements in your quote there is nothing I can say to convince you how utterly ridiculous they are, so I won't try. I am just trying to wrap my brain around the fact that Bartoszek still has supporters who blindly follow him regardless of his disregard for his current shareholders, as well as those in the past. I don't get it. What am I missing?
I agree. And I also agree that Bears' assessment is spot on!
Mike has one last opportunity to show his true character, although I suspect we already have seen it. He can come clean and explain what is going on with LLEG and the SEC. He can spell out specifically the situation and the steps he is taking to resolve it. He can let his shareholders know what his plan is moving forward, and he can execute his plan. If he were to take those steps I believe that his once loyal followers would come out of the woodwork and support him once again. We live in a very forgiving society, although in order to be forgiven, he needs to admit his mistakes.
So what is it gonna be Mike?
My gut tells me that we were on the screen of the SEC for quite some time.
And while I wish I were wrong, my feeling tells me that LLEG is finished. The fact that Bartoszek has continued his silence is the most glaring red flag that LLEG is in serious trouble.
In the past he would appear from time to time, usually to defend himself or his company, against posts he regarded as negative. He responded to several of mine, and it became quite easy to learn what buttons to push in order to receive a reply. I believe his ego would not allow him to read the negative comments without responding. Even though many of his responses were very vanilla and nothing but misdirection, they still drew the praise of his followers and chants of WE BELIEVE! I believe he thrived on this and that it enabled him to continue his lack of transparency without any sort of accountability to his shareholders.
His reputation is now in ruins. His company is all but dead. While I have no doubt he could care less about his shareholders, I am sure it is killing him to watch his reputation go down with the ship, and not have any ammunition with which to defend himself. The SEC charges are serious, and there is little hope for an LLEG resurrection, and his silence tells us this, loud and clear.
Unless he comes clean in a statement to his shareholders, and soon, what little hope some still have, will be gone.
I understand, and you have been a great source of information. Maybe the points yet to be worked out involve the amount LLEG is to receive, after the "certain adjustments" that were mentioned in the PR. I just can't imagine LLEG crying foul if it were simply a procedural matter. But honestly, nothing would surprise me anymore with this loony bin of a company.
