Kind of expected that Helio would be holding up well in the big sector drop off. Some of these companies seem to have a long term investor base that understand the overall buisness plan. If anything like Clive Roffey's price prjections pan out, these stong stocks are going to pay off.
That might be impossible to predict but casual observation of life in the US has revealed a downward spiral over the last thirty pluss years that is hard to ignore. I doubt that things are going to improve any where perhaps just degrade more slowly in some places.
Well I'm seriously considering it as it is one of the most consistant surf breaks. I just need to get info from the counsulate on imigration policy. There really are not to many realistic choices out there in terms of location and government policy.
How was Peru? Any over all opinion on travel or living on the coast? I'm thinking about going back after thirty years probably just south of Lima.
South Afirican govt. Moving temporarily for less than ten years. Actually I'm closer to pink but yes, caucasian. I'm not even sure I can get imigrant status. Going primarily to surf so if I can't go there then there are other places. The country has some serious challenges but so do most in the upcomming dislocations.
Africa is a tough game. I'm actually considering moving there but in the South, over on the Indian Ocean side. Biggest drawback will be sharks and govt immigration policy.
Nice one, thanks.
Look at these guys. See any body else turning out nr's like this? I'm seriously considering emigrating to South Africa before I get to old. Might be to cold for me already. If so it's going to have to be some where in the sub americas. Tin pot dictatorships, I ought to be used to it anyway.
In addition to more dilution, does this development actually do any thing to alter the flat trajectory of this companies stock price?
OGR is showing teflon characteristics in this down draft. It's mostly these strong shareholder based micro's that are holding up. Several of them out there.
Same ID, It can be difficult to find some of the stuff on that site and some of it can be fairly usefull. Then there was the band width problem recently where the whole thing went down for a few days. Over all it's a good forum.
Sorry my level of service does not allow me to pm. I can however receive pm's on smartinvestment.ca. I don't know if you use the boards there but they are worthwhile.
It helps give me reason to congratulate you on having bought in at ten.
Any idea of the conversion date of the new shell? It would seem to be difficult to get information on any proposed projects as this is apparently fairly new.
Omega corp on the ASX is beginning to accelerate to the upside on strong volume. It's hard to figure what characteristic volume is in Austrialia, but this thing looks strong to me. Some one must be seeing the similarities to Palidin that I see.
I'm trying to figure out how to get a position before the letter writers start to pump. Easier said than done.
Not to get too far off topic here, but I hear Shield is about to ipo.
You can buy it today within a few cents of the ipo price. Nobody impressed with the laterite flavor?
I've got a post it note on my wall that I should frame. It's dated Jan 18, I'm sure that's 2003, listing Russ's favorites for the long term. With the exception of WTC, he had all of the great gainers out of that time frame. The only one on the list that did not go was GNG. SUL was'nt on the list but I do remember him talking about Kena. Jim Steele really thought Kena would prove out and that the team was effective in exploration. What ever happened to Russ? Brilliant guy.
Now don't sell your RSC Dave. When those cores cool down enough to touch, we're going to get some good numbers.
Glad to hear that. I've been sitting on it indefinitely and I respect your judgement. The drill results will in fact be interesting. There is some talk of more work on Kena that could be timely at a new POG.
Jack, have you looked at the proven Moly deposit of SUL? The stock has been stale for so long, any actual value is bound to be completely overlooked. Might represent some kind of opportunity at this point.
Not to side track the GBN discussion ( I hold shares), but the probable reason that GFI has seen this share price increase if that most long term observers realize that the total ounces undergroud at Kloof combined with those of Western Areas dwarf all known reserves logged world wide to date.
One not mentioned here so far is Omega corp. in Australia. Mildly similar to Palidin in it's property holdings and strategy. Symbol is AU:OMC on bigcharts. I'd like to find some intelligent discussion on these Aussy companies some where on the web. Until they get TSX listings, they are virtually unknown out side of Aus. Optimum time to pick them up as is clear from looking at Palidin's chart. PDN must have come to be a Dines recommendation at one point before it blew up. Before that it was a seedling on the Aussy exchange. Summit appears to be following the same pattern.
Thanks for the link. UFM appears to be moving up on respectable volume. I am long this one.
The chart on this stock looks very much like a startup from a shell entity similar to UFM. Any idea who it was that launched the new venture?
Everybody duck and cover, looks like the correction is here. Better late than never I always say. If we did'nt get it, that would be a problem.
Yeah four or five shallow recirc holes, two as stepouts and two testing new targets. Can't remember exactly. I'm in early on this one and will hold till buyout as usual.
Dave, I bought after the Coffins recommendation and subsequent stall. This is one that gave plenty of time before going vertical. I can't seem to get my handle back from the SI black box server and I'm not so keen on my own opinions right now that I think I need to post them. You really do have quite a line up over there now. I think if people realized who some of the characters are it would come as a shock. I heard you played some hockey at one time yourself. You still train?
Dave, not to side track the political discussion, but how bout that RSC today?
Understandable. Probably the weirdest trading in recent memory going on in the stock right now. Good prospective projects with some Hemlo tinged assay results due in. That's whats got all the volume in I think. You guys picked the monster of the quarter with that BCF. Most similar stocks are flat to down. Just tried to get in FRA and it's moving as I speak. Sometimes it seems like this stuff is floating around in group think.
Doc, thanks for stepping in to post in Ed's absence. Your efforts are appreciated out here in the wilderness. Do you have an interpretation of these results in comparison with the known structures of Mulatos?
You can never tell with these guys. Have you heard of their group affiliation with NFX, ELO, and THV? I'd just like to see some definite strategy and follow through.
That's my take on them as well. I'm having trouble valuing them at the moment with every thing else that's happening. I really like the structure of the company and think it may be a long term winner.
Impossible volume on Zenda. Over 16 million shares on a stock that has traded below 10 thousand a day for a year. Talk about a leak.
OK EXM finally moved. Will it continue? Most issues that pop in this out of season run seem to form flags shortly afterward.
Looks like Helio got away. That dip to 66 was a key point to enter. With 37 million shares out at a buck, it's probably at the top of it's range though.
