LOL. "Awareness" is certainly key.
you're kidding right? You just stated what I stated in my last post. I gave you a valuation on what a successful flu drug would bring based on current drugs in the market. That's a valuation (as you even state) based on FDA approval. I clearly stipulated "if it works in humans". That value as stated is obviously just as valid today as it was when I wrote the post, as anybody in the industry would tell you. Look around the biotech/drug discovery industry, 5x sales is conservative. The question is not what the value of such a drug would be but whether NNVC can successfully produce it (and within a reasonable timeframe). Pegging a valuation on a successful flu drug is a far cry from a prediction on stock price. Thanks for proving my point.
what complete crap, put up the post where I ever said that. I didn't do price predictions here. What I did do was provide a number on what a successful flu drug would be worth based on TamiFlu and Relenza sales, which of course still holds.
You would certainly like everybody to think that so you don't get hurt too badly trying to cover tomorrow.
It should be obvious by now that the shorts that prepositioned ahead of the SA piece have not covered and are quite nervous.
A lot of similarities with NNVC --
Copper River colluded with a research firm in short-selling Overstock while paying that research firm to publish negative reports about Overstock.com and supplying pre-publication copies to the hedge fund. Sound familiar?
I think it is safe to say the shorts put in place prior to the article have not been covered yet.
I had the same thought --

not at this hour.
yes of course, somebody could put it on a completely different path to commercial success at great expense in time and increasing market risk.
of course massively vicious trades can be made by anybody in hindsight. I must have missed the initial call...
IP is not worth much without a clear path to commercial success. NNVC is that clear path.
exactly, TheraCour is worth essentially zip for the foreseeable future without commercial success at NNVC.
exactly right, it gets updated every 2 weeks.... you don't know what happens in between. On the previous exchange we saw that while cumulative short interest was very low at reported intervals, daily short interest was very often between 30 and 50%. I don't know of any source on NYSE that gives the daily numbers.
That is generally true, however given the circumstances I think you can pretty well infer which side of the ledger was driving those bets.
yes, his last comment was late night on the 12th so I think that still holds as a possible indication that they did not cover the short position on the first day (the 11th).... or the second day.
Last I looked the author was still putting up negative responses in the comments section, so that would also lead me to think otherwise.
I just entered a mock short order, it took no problem. (8% rate).

make sure you book an extended stay, I think we are going to need a few dozen martinis!

Note that there are 699 puts out on the Feb 22 $2.50 contract. I suspect that there may be a concerted effort in the next few days (by the perpetrators of the SA piece) to get the stock below that strike price.
maybe he thought they were for in vitro fertilization? Nothing like a little flucide to protect the tubes...
it is pronounced "sides", he corrected the interviewer who was saying "seeds".
wasn't sure if this had been posted either... SA getting a lot of attention lately --

and what do you suppose it would have cost in dilution (and stock price) to do it the conventional way? At least look at the other available options and do some kind of comparative analysis before making such superficial comments.
eerily similar to your Feb '13 end of the world comments just prior to a 5X move. The stock will recover and you will take your bitterness and crawl back into your hole. Until the next correction of course... some things never change.
Have to disagree, the premise pushed by the hit piece was that insiders are siphoning money out of the company at the expense of shareholders. Insider purchases would be a simple and effective way to refute that. Their purchases would not shift control in any meaningful way.
I see a bid for 55k shares at 3.10 just popped up.
The big pharmas have shown interest but they are a risk averse group and they typically don't partner in such ventures until after a successful Phase IIa.
they've already tried and suit was thrown out 3 times.
based on what, the chart? That is just nonsense as they have the cash to get to human trials. Success there would mean a multi-billion dollar market cap. Exercise just a modicum of common sense...
Amen, see you there.
I think you missed a few posts last Spring.
The stock could easily dip back below $3.00 and it would not have the slightest ramifications on the long term viability of the company.
short interest rose by about 233,000 shares in the latest period to a little over 1M. Still very low and expected to keep rising. Given the events of yesterday I would have thought that number would be a bit higher. We'll know better after the next report, but we can begin to get a picture of the possible scale of operation we are talking about with Pump Terminator. Have to look at options too of course. So far I would say they appear to be a very small bit player.... one easily overcome with a little concentrated enthusiasm from buyers.
slight drop in rate to short, now 8% on E*Trade.
I listened carefully to that. Dr. Seymour is not one to misspeak... that may be a subtle indication that materials from the existing facility will be used to start tox, but that additional material from the new facility is expected to be required to boost material sufficiently to finish tox. Whether that would result in a delay beyond the timeline given would depend on how fast they can commission the new facility.
I prefer flaming rabbit.... maybe we cook some up on the island?
(caution - always bitter and makes you nauseous).
Pull!
Pump Terminator smells very much like Teri Buhl. I submitted a post on her web site a while back (in response to a simmilar write-up where she said, among other things, that Dr. Seymour was a veterinarian) and she refused to put it up. This seems to me to have her prints all over it.
