Someone posted about the 3 possibilities re: ROD. I can not find this post. Cd the one who posted -- repost?
LBSR to da moon? I thought it might be you but could not find under your latest messages.
Thanks all.
Buying shares for my future grand children. Great info. Hope you have a blog somewhere. Impressive! (as always)
Thought you might enjoy reading this as well—although I imagine you are well aware of this info.
Northern Dynasty estimated that Pebble contains over $300 billion worth of recoverable metals at early 2010 prices.[41]
A report released by Northern Dynasty in 2011 predicted profits for mine owners from a large-scale open-pit mine at Pebble, given appropriate assumptions about construction costs ($4.7 billion), scale (200,000 tons per day), lifetime (45 years), metal prices over that lifetime (2011 prices) and the mine design plan.
The study assumes a slurry pipeline will deliver ore concentrate from the mine to a new port on Cook Inlet, and that trucks will haul ore concentrates to Cook Inlet.
The plan expected the mine to return the initial capital investment in 3.2 years, employ over a thousand people for the first 25 years and provide a lifetime 23.2% pretax internal rate of return. The expected pretax cash flow was approximately $2 billion per year for much of the mine life and significantly more during the later years. The report states that 58% of the ore resource will remain at year 45.[42]

Thanks for all your help and thoughts.
Thanks a lot. Thumbs up to you and Mainehiker and all the rest.
Lol no one is dogging on you. Just asking a question about your source. Kind of like when someone quotes a verse from the most sold book in the world. We ask where so we can read it too.
No matter what, the due date for the fEIS is soon.
Thanks for the info.
Thanks for being a good sport! We always love DD.
Found nothing on 5/28/2020. You? Hopefully mainehiker79 will remember what/where he read about this date. Thanks all.
Remember where you read that? Thanks
Thiessen told Katusa that as soon as the ROD Is granted a law suit from the opposition would be initiated. He said that although NDM wd most probably be named, etc. the lawsuit would actually be against the Army Corps.
Not many details were given. He also said that is why Tom Collier was taking his time, dotting every I and crossing every t.
Tom has been a mining contracts lawyer for over 40 years.
YouTube video: aired this year.
Best recollection of details.
Hi, I was interested on your thoughts about NAK reaching the $6 range.
I read the article by Seeking Alpha that stated: If permitted, this stock significantly re-rates, and I would argue it would fetch $1 billion ($2 per share) to $2 billion ($4 per share) in a sale.
I also watched the Ron Thiessen & Marin Katusa vid on Youtube--mentioned NAK would be open to some sort of consortium.
Question:
Say all this happens (which I believe to be true) what might the circumstances be for NAK to rise significantly above the $4 range.
I understand everyone is just giving thoughts and opinions--which they may or may not really believe.
Thanks so much for any help learning. (Even though I've held this stock for a long time.)
Sorry to ask such a dumb question but... I believe that at some point there will be another company that buys out ("final investment decision" before 2022 per NAK's web site.) When this happens--whether now or later---what might we expect?
Could you share your thoughts as to possible options?
I am a long but don't know much about businesses/ this type of thing. (But you knew that, right?):)
TIA
About Barrick

No one said they had a buyer.
Just thinking out loud after reading # 21750
Sorry I wasn't clear.
Curious. If NAK has a buyer why announce an offering?
Thanks for any speculation.
Hi, I think that is actually pretty good advice for someone who knows even slightly more than I do. I appreciate it.
I think I’ll hold for now and see what happens in the next few months with an eye towards trading a few shares down the road—while keeping my core shares.
I’m just a regular person with little knowledge of stocks, etc.
I think my hold up to trading on the swings has more to do with taxes. Not sure how it all works with regards to a good strategy.
I do really believe in NAK. I think this mine will be very important for the country in years to come.
Thanks!
Yes, but they can begin working as soon as they begin the process which according to the vids I have watched will probably start this August. They will begin with the infrastructure--roads, etc. What great news for the ppl living in the region.
Looking good.
9 covid related deaths in the entire state of Alaska.
https://covid19.alaska.gov/
Impressive.
As well it should be... And should have been...
So glad so many are waking up to what has been happening.
Go NAK
This is really fascinating vid. Especially for someone like me who is not gifted understanding world view economics. Thanks so much!
NAK is important for our nation, I do believe.
I think a great deal of people understand the necessity of not relying on foreign countries who are not friendly towards us--but legally what could any President do, besides trying to put honest ppl in charge of the different departments? These types of things are not my area of expertise by a long shot. So curious as to your thoughts and insights.
I am guessing once the final EIS and ROD is secured, things will be looking much better for NAK. Much better shape this fall.
TIA
Dittos. "People know what a bargain NAK is.." Succeeding isn't just important for longs but for Alaska and the rest of our country. We need our own resources developed.
Seems as though it's a 'yes' to both questions this summer and fall.
The silver lining is that what seems bad will work out for our good. I do believe that.
Thanks always for your positive posts--wanting to see NAK and other businesses thrive and succeed. The "New Normal" talk = slavery.
Okay. Any ideas why this might be coming before the EIS and ROD reports? Thanks.

Yes, and I was able to snatch a few more shares.
I read somewhere that NAK might reach the $3.50 range in a year.
FWIW, I think it might be sooner. This fall I believe. we'll see a nice rise. Dunno, of course. I'm just an average person.
Thanks Sherman, nice insight. Americans on the whole rise up to any and all challenges. The resources of NAK are a real blessing to help us become less reliant on foreign minerals.
Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing your great research. We think you are right concerning the major risks of mining in politically rogue countries.
Thanks so much.
Just as an FYI: I have had NAK shares for while, at a much, much higher price. I thought I should try to average down the price.
I felt I was to buy a certain amount of shares--thankfully under .50. I am holding most all these shares as my core. Somehow I had 140 shares over the amount I felt I should buy. So I decided to have some fun and flipped them. Then I used that same amount to buy 144... LOL!
Obviously I am not paying a commission. I thought I'd keep doing this for a bit to see how many more share I accumulate.
I did not realize these little 4 shares were "free."
Too much fun!
Thanks again. Always appreciate your posts.
Just curious: How does one receive "free" shares.
TIA
DOW next stop: 24,500
NAK up as well.
Thanks, that helps a lot.
Hi, At the end of the article there is a reference to greenwise. Greenwise states that the EPA is still finding fault with what is happening. Any more insight into this?
Hi Stargazer, Sorry to be such a dummy... But why would anyone purchase 35,000 at the end of the day at a higher price? Wouldn't you think someone would buy part in parcel during the day at a slightly lower price?
Just curious about strategies.
TIA
Nice! Thanks so much for the info.
Thanks for this great info. I was just going toask about the ROD I found on NAK's web site... I was wondering who issues it. Anyone know?
Great news. Where did you find it?
NAK site: The Record of Decision will lay out USACE’s decision on the application submitted by the Applicant. Three decisions are possible: issue a permit, issue a permit with conditions, or denial of the application. This is estimated to be released in 2020.
Thanks!
I'm new to mining and new to investing. I have been reading on this site: https://www.visualcapitalist.com/visualizing-the-life-cycle-of-a-mineral-discovery/
Question: Once the EIS okay's this (My opinion: they will)what is the process? next steps, etc. Any thoughts?
Thanks all
Just asking for a link from the EPA--not someone else's opinion.
Until then, I think you've misunderstood.
I think you misunderstood...
"Decision neither deters nor derails the application process of Pebble Limited Partnership’s proposed project. The project proponents continue to enjoy the protection of due process and the right to proceed. However, their permit application must clear a high bar, because EPA believes the risk to Bristol Bay may be unacceptable."
https://www.epa.gov/newsreleases/epa-administrator-scott-pruitt-suspends-withdrawal-proposed-determination-bristol-bay
You Twitter post was not from Pruitt. Perhaps best to see what he has said, himself for accurate info.
I don't know but there are many more pebbles and stones in the caldera. It is a huge, massive area. Will be fun to see how things develop in the coming years.
