RD, what kind of terms are typical for a business loan of this size in china? Is it fully amortized or is there some balloon payment after say 5, 10 or 15 years. Maybe its classified as a development loan rather than a business loan.
Hey Handlamera, I think there's a pretty good chance we're going to get a loan announcement between now and end of the year. I added another 8000 shares this morning. I'll add some more once the announcement is made. It appears that tech issues are going to be resolved. Keeping fingers cross.
Call me "Nuts" RD, but I bought another 8,000 shares of SIAF this morning. I'm pretty confident they will get the loan and the tech problems seem to be resolved or nearing to be resolved. I think there's a lot of upside at $1.35 pps ($38m market cap @ 28m shares).
The current $1.37 pps reflects a value for this company without the $100M loan for development capital. I'm pretty confident that if and when they get loan approval the share price will double soon after the announcement.
Whatever happened to raising eels? Great profit margins!
Empty, the question is - If they don't get the loan will this be the straw that broke the camel's back? In my opinion -YES

RD, Handlamera over at the SIAF board claims he knows people who have confirmed the loan approval for the mega farm. Handlamera has been a member of the board for quite a long time so I don't doubt his sincerity but unless "these people" are management or work for the bank how else could someone come across this info?
Did they get the loan???? I see there's a lot of chatter on the board. Can someone fill me in. Believe it or not I'm thinking about adding more shares.
Zero, SIAF directly owns 23.89% of TRW. See page F8.
RD, if tri-way reaches 100,000 MT by 2024 (I think this was the year they estimated) what kind of net income to SIAF are we looking at? Please fill in numbers per your best "guess-timates":
100,000mt x $? per mt x %? margin x 36% = ?
Thanks
RD, per our emails it seems as if Enzootic is in discussions with SIAF regarding mono sex shrimp farming. IMO this new technology seems like an answer prayer to their problem of larger males devouring the smaller ones.
Questions for the author of the article? He can be contacted at louis.harkell@undercurrentnews.com
I wonder if the company will put out a press release which confirms the findings in the article.
Swede, just from what I read so far I would opt for the Enzootic solution to the MF problem. This assumes that its financially feasible.

Article about Enzootic
Articles need to be a sticky. But the question still remains - why didn't the company publically release this information last year.
As of November 14, 2016 there were 21,456,859 shares of our common stock issued and outstanding.
As of September 30, 2017 there were 27,811,573 shares of our common stock issued and outstanding.

Yeah, 30m o/s is just around the corner. What a splendid job of managing $.
RD, please add to your list - "Why are there no plans to buy back the shares?"
Why aren't management & directors buying shares at these levels?
Yappy is gone and I think he obviously knows something that we have yet to discover. The A shares that solly is holding on to is quite troubling. But given all these questions I will still be buying given that rev for Q3 was about $1.80 per share which is still low for the company.
RD, in your best guess what are the chances that TRW gets the $100+ m loan they've been talking about for several months now? Is it better than a 50/50 chance? Waiting to build out the MF is gut wrenching.
"China plans to increase aquaculture production 30% by 2025 after drop this year"
Actually Empty is right, it does matter. Many institutional investors look at little things like that especially when it seems to be the norm.
Just added to my position yesterday ($1.90 pps). So looking forward to the $19 party.
Make SINO AG Great Again !!!
For tomorrow I'm crossing my fingers hoping that SIAF breaks $1.50 and my Dodgers win Game 6.
