EPGL did a reverse split 3-4 years ago, when it basically became a new company. It's kind of a long story, but H8ster has a few historical posts that are very informative and helpful in understanding the company. Share price is UP 5000% since the reverse split. EPGL management has stated that there will not be another reverse split.
Ha ha, I noticed that too!
Totally agree with you, Gman22, and YogInvest. We need to see patent approval and/or a joint PR. Otherwise investors will continue waiting to see any appreciable gains.
(By appreciable gains I mean .10 and beyond. I am aware that those like myself who bought shares before the split have already seen substantial ROI.)
How were you unable to verify the patent application? Did you not see the link?
"EPGL is going down and what why are claiming cannot happen."
Umm, what?
"I don't think anyone argued that they weren't submitting patents." Are you kidding? It would take a little time, but one could easily dig up at least 50-100 posts accusing EPGL of lying, being a scam, not doing anything they claim, etc.
Sure, there have been posts questioning whether, or when, the patents might be approved. But there have also been plenty outright accusing EPGL of fabricating everything.
I bought at .0004 pre-split and .017 post-split. Still have 90%+ of those original shares. I'm sure glad I didn't act on these concerns of yours on the way to where we are now. And I see no reason to act on them now. I'm assuming you are encouraging people to sell, to "get out now". So you think we won't get any higher than .07? What other share prices along the way did you think were the peak?
Ha ha, I understood what you meant, DD22! Evidently the sarcasm was lost on some people.
I didn't interpret to mean that they were saying no TO Sergey Brin, i.e. Google. Rather, it was not Michael Hayes that said this about contact lens technology, but the founder of Google. Basically trying to give legitimacy to the technology is working on.
Wow, how do you know that?! Do you have any supporting evidence or verification?
I just think it's intellectually dishonest to pretend like that PWC confirmation letter doesn't exist.
What about the PWC confirmation letter. Made up?
What did Kim Duncan say when you emailed and asked why there's nothing about EPGL on the COO website?
Why would you rather the seller sell on the bid, and preferably under .04?
Have WE done enough? If EPGL management is hoping to have certain questions asked at the COO shareholder CC, they should do (or should have already done) what they can to make it happen. That's not the responsibility of EPGL shareholders.
The only reason I don't think it's quite a doomsday scenario for EPGL is because of the PWC association/backing. Do you have any thoughts on this? They do seem to be quite a large and well known accounting firm that owns a ton of EPGL shares.
I had completely failed to consider PWC. We'll see how much they'll go to bat for EPGL. Interesting factor to consider, for sure.
I think Cooper is planning on just using the technology regardless of what EPGL threatens, assuming EPGL doesn't have the money to pursue lengthy litigation. And they would have knowledge of EPGL's finances. I doubt they have any fear of this lawsuit. People can have varying opinions of whether they SHOULD.
So if Cooper ignores this warning salvo from EPGL, as I suspect they will, EPGL will proceed with the lawsuit. I'm sure you're aware of the length of time this type of litigation can take. We're talking months, or more likely, years. Do you think EPGL has the money to pay for months or years of litigation? And if so, do you think it is a positive development that they are going to use investor dollars pursuing this lawsuit?
I think you're 100% right on this. I don't see how any EPGL shareholder could be happy with this news.
Just my opinion, but I think most peoples' opinion of what "in the coming days" means would be 3-5 days. Maybe 5-10. I don't think they were intentionally being disingenuous. They may have intended to share something last week that they we unable to. Or maybe they have a different definition of "in the coming days" than I do. Hopefully they have some material information to share with us soon.
I'd at least like to see them put out a tweet to address this. Not a big deal to me, but it could be to some current or potential investors. Hopefully they have enough investor awareness to recognize this and get on top of it.
I understand you "like to see it wrinting on thier investots site", but by refusing to contact their IR rep you are not making any other attempts to get the information from the "source". If one is sincerely trying to validate the information, then why stop simply because it's not on Cooper's website?
Do you not see the hypocrisy in your last sentence? You yourself won't go to the source by refusing to call or email Cooper's IR representative. I understand your wanting the information to be on the COO website, but don't understand the refusal to be proactive and contact them yourself if you're not getting what you want from the website. And then you say you can't get it from the source when you haven't tried any way other than their website.
How do you you know that EPGL is dumping shares? Or are you just speculating?
I highly doubt it. I have been posting variations of this question to those who question the veracity of EPGL's recent announcements. Haven't heard anyone claim that the larger company would just ignore false statements regarding itself.
Can you explain why Cooper has not sent a cease and desist order to EPGL for releasing false information?
I'm sorry you had to sell when you didn't want to but I appreciate that you went about it in a way that didn't tank the share price. And I'm glad that you still have a very nice position. I hope that the proceeds were able to help in your (or someone else's) time of need.
What is the "main topic"?
What do you mean by "obscure" news? Along with the three (I think) PRs related to Cooper, we've had a PR about Intel, a PR about reduction of shares, and a PR about AT&T, all in the last six months or so. I may be forgetting one or two. So not sure what you mean by "obscure".
That's too bad. We're closing on a house this Friday, my first time owning a home. I've done everything I can to get the money for closing without selling EPGL shares, and fortunately I haven't had to sell any. I'd be pretty upset if a month from now the pps is sitting at .20 but I had to sell a few weeks earlier. That said, I totally understand the predicament of needing money in a hurry, and I wish you the best!
Can you give an example of the company saying "something that has nothing to do with what we expect"? I'm not sure what you're referring to. And who do you mean by "we"?
Have you tried asking the company? Because no one here is going to know more than the company will say. Email them, and let us know their response.
Well, if you're correct, then PWC, Cooper, Intel, and AT&T are (despite their DD) associating with a company who knowingly releases false information in their OTC filings. Seems pretty far-fetched to me.
That makes no sense. One has nothing to do with the other. What do you think Cooper and EPGL are negotiating over? Probably not just "ideas".
Details of the agreement have not been made public. Maybe I'm wrong, but I suspect anyone at Cooper who has knowledge of the negotiations would be traveling down a slippery slope were they to start loading up on EPGL shares.
So you're saying that if Cooper management is in negotiations with EPGL that there wouldn't be a problem with Cooper workers sharing news or details that haven't been officially shared by the company? That would be ok? No chance. Those workers would be putting their jobs, and possibly the negotiations, at risk. And any Cooper worker with knowledge of the negotiations who then bought or sold EPGL shares would likely, at the very least, be toeing a fuzzy insider trading line.
EPGL is almost certainly restricted by the larger company/companies in what they're allowed to disclose.
Well that wouldn't really be "public" awareness, would it? Plus there are insider trading laws to consider.
I think the poster was probably referring to details of an agreement or official confirmation from Cooper, Intel, AT&T, etc that an agreement is in effect. Once we get one or both of those things, that's when the share price takes off, IMO. No doubt, waiting is difficult.
