True enough and I agree. This company's affairs have been conducted in a bubble since they made a deal with the devil that is ICL. They acted as though they had no responsibility to shareholders and as if they were a private company, showing no regard for the fact they have always been funded and answerable to the same public teat to which they always weaned themselves. Canadian regulatory types dropped the ball once more and can only blame themselves as to why the world largely discounts companies listed exclusively in their jurisdiction. Had Allana conducted themselves the same way in the US they would have been destroyed.
Gives us a week to get back in if the rats start scurrying
Just thought I'd mention the caverns now are going to be much fewer, larger and economical as the upper carnallitite and sylvinite members are being dissolved and processed together. As for reaching below them to kainititye deposits, Jason Wilkinson told me when I asked him during a site tour that they can put a drill hole through any number of pillars between the upper caverns to reach and dissolve lower mineralizations. Not a problem.
Indeed! Nice find wshaw. How ever did you find this nugget?
not surprised you never read this document

last day of trading before 2012 $5000 TFSA contributions allowed in Canada. I believe sharks are circling in the water waiting for all that retail money starting Jan.3. will pick up more then if price is still good, but bought in margin account just in case.
10,000 more for me today too
the date isn't arbitrary. the dates were there as a reminder when I last logged into my I-trade account. why they signified those dates as the last days for tax loss selling is something maybe you can work out with them. I am simply passing on the info.
actually, today was the last day for tax loss selling in the US I believe, as the trades need a few days to settle. Canada's was last Friday.
shhhh...I'm hunting for wabbits....
is a nickel your call Chloebunaware? care to make that bet now?
Is that your latest bold prediction cloey? still waiting on a low call and handshake my friend
When completed in 2015, the Grand Millennium Dam will be the largest hydroelectric power plant in Africa. It will also create the country's largest artificial lake, with a capacity of 63 billion cubic meters of water—twice the size of Lake Tana in Ethiopia’s Amhara region.
In late June, Ethiopia announced that it would build four additional dams on the Blue Nile that will work in conjunction with the Grand Millennium Dam to generate more than 15,000 megawatts of electricity.
how about a friendly bet cloey? you tell us how low this goes by January 31, 2012, and I respond with my low estimate. the one who's furthest off exits from this board forever. deal? fire away my brilliant friend, I'm all ears!
the stockhouse, or ihub crowd for that matter, is all nice and fuzzy, but unfortunately we don't drive the bus. I get the whole organic thing and that's definitely fueled Allana, but this project has come to the stage where we need big hitters committed to pony up the cash. anything less and this thing goes nowhere, and the market's telling us in no uncertain terms to show them the money. I hope we can announce at least an off take really soon.
I say Abs and company need to get long term funds on board here, whether that takes pounding the conference circuit and/or squeezing partners like IFC and LMM harder to sell us through their associates. the project sells itself, but you need your executive to get the attention and commitment of potential large investors. having funds long at market will raise and solidify share price too.
personally, I'm concerned about the dilution and options/warrant overhang, and last week expressed myself to the CEO about it and the rolling stock option and bonus share plans up for approval at the AGM on Dec. 6 in Toronto. Having said that, it was fortuitous we went to market when we did, as we are cashed up through the BFS.
by the sound of Abs, I'm not the only one who thinks Jaret's a dweeb thank you for your interest in Allana Jaret....
1 mtpa initial output @ $500/ton (2013 est.) = $500,000,000 per year revenue. getting the picture Manny?
seriously. nobody notice the trade halt 20 minutes ago? wakey, wakey! this could be huge...
agreed. there is definitely near term upside to be had here, assuming the euro-crisis doesn't get in the way.
CLOEBEWRONG....again.
loving watching CIBC, Jitney and National Bank squirm as they try to hold us back today. beauty!
beware the Vampire Squid. their credibility is..well, incredible.
Argentina's a basket case, but luckily our prospect is in Neuquen province, as opposed to the totally messed up Mendoza where our neighbors Vale are getting jerked around trying to get Rio Colorado up and running. I too think a spin off to current shareholders of the Argentina property is a great idea.
no prob Keith...keep the faith. tell you what...if I would have buried my head in the sand and sold into the fear of the 2008 crash, I'm sure I'd have been ruined for the market. it chews folks up and spits them out. look ahead, and wait out the freak show. this is how the wolves separate the sheep from the herd.
well..since you asked..just so happens I asked Mr. Abasov about CIBC, and the choke hold they (and Jitney & anonymous to lesser degrees)have had on the stock for months. he said he's discussed the matter with CIBC and they said it wasn't them, but rather others using their platforms. he is frustrated too, and said that is why he is trying very hard to get institutional long term investors to buy in and get the shares out of the hands of the traders. our liquidity works as a 2 edged sword, favoring us in better times and slaughtering us in fearful times is all I can make of it. For my part, I continue to buy as we fall and get the shares I can out of the hands of traders. Over 340,000 and growing here

Hi Cam,
Thank you for your thoughts and concerns. The talks are going very well, and we are making progress on other fronts too. Re: IFC's role, they are helping us with financing, logistics and government relations etc. It is not their mandate to help with the commercial offtake talks at this point, but if needed they will help us out on that too.
Cheers
think we're picking up what you're throwing down big fella.
actually, that's $650.71 per share based on gross project value of almost 100 billion dollars at this point. the 373.97 is the RI quotient, which is the ratio of today's share price to the gross project value per share of $650.71. personally, $50.00 is cool by me...I'm not a greedy man
tsx in next few weeks yes, and discussion of some sort of shareholder rights plan or other protection. I was that caller who threw a handful of questions at them to start things off, then asked a couple more re: ifc warrant/bfs and land acquisitions (curious answer, read between the lines and the laugh there). Abs is a CEO in a class of his own...if only others had his integrity. but then again, that's why we have the support we do from who we do.
Hi Cam,
we have put that MOU on the back burner until we see if they can deliver. Meanwhile we already have secured the support from both IFC and Liberty, plus other large and solid organizations are interested in helping Allana.
Indian organizations are indeed talking to us.
Not sure how this ETF works.
Cheers,
Farhad
the usual suspects....jitney trade and cibc.
Great news...IFC board approval of Allana equity stake April 28. One more piece put in place. Nice!
IFC is different, and that's why they've been granted warrants @ $2.08, unlike the others. actually the warrants are timed and aimed at funding the BFS, as stated on IFC's own publication regarding their investment. the initial proceeds from the share purchase were earmarked for the completion of the drilling campaign and revised NI 43-101, as I understand it. I believe the directors of IFC vote on the proposed investment on around April 26, and when approved (rarely not), this stock will have the official green light. this is just the beginning, and as long as we comply with their guidelines, they will be there every step of the way through to production, along with LMM.
NICE...and 5 holes en route to the lab? what does this tell us peeps? how shallow must they have been? this puppy is destined for blue skies for good come those results May 2 or 9th, then the NI 43-101 not long after. who knows what land aquisition(s) and financing moves may drive our share price in the meantime.
word
I am stoked! any junior would give their souls to have just one, never mind two long term giants fully behind their project. not that any of us ahead of the curve types around here needed any persuasion this baby was gonna happen. maybe we can finally see the end of the jackass manipulations now. this is getting funner.
