The reason it's not showing today's breakout is because stockcharts.com's data feed has been down the whole day.
Yep..and bids are starting to stack.
Looking like another end of Friday run coming!
$MINE over matter :P
I was going to say the exact same thing...Lol
Strong support at .0272.
$MINE is trading up in pre-market.
Yea..Damn Zack/Zand for his good questions which lerogee can't answer...
Last week, you said your wife doesn't play stocks anymore. Now, you and her are in top 2 of the weekly contest?
You would be amazed at what kind of information you can find just by tracking a phone number, especially a landline one...
Ninja, please email me at cuongqha@hotmail.com.
Could you please walk us through your trades on PRAN and explain why you chose to buy and sell at those specific points? Thanks.
advfn, click on the "Trades" tab
Did you miss TIF or did you leave that one out on purpose? Im thinking it's a decent candidate for tomorrow. Also, did you get the OpOvr % from CBOE?
Actually, his teaching would tell you to buy within 30 min before closing of the previous day (as he stated in post #78). That's how he plays strangles on earnings. From what I've read, he mainly looks at the float short, big moves (>12%) on recent earnings, call/put bias, and maybe a few other things. He does not use rsi and macd on earning plays. If u wait for rsi and macd, it would already be too late to get in. But I may be wrong, so please correct me if I am. Thanks.
Did you mean the theoretical price in tos is the average between the ask and bid? I see that being true for the Calls side, not Puts. Please advise. TIA
Are you saying that the OptionX column is the most accurate out of all the RSI columns (minute, hourly, monthly, optionx)?
What does the last column Option X stand for in TOS marketwatch. Is the RSI using the timeframe between option expiration dates? Sorta like a monthly RSI? TIA
Lol..real time delay..sounds like an oxymoron..why not just use the theoretical price from the tos platform?
Nice call on PANL. Hope you played it. I didnt play it..But if I did, I wouldve sold it (based on LRC and RSI) too early.
Oh, gotcha..I assuming thats a paper trade? lol
You're talking about the $ volume for one trade. I was asking about the total $ volume traded for the day. Lerogee mentioned that 5.6 mil worth of options were traded yesterday. Not sure if that's a dollar amount or just volume. Either way, I would like to know if its possible to get total $ volume for stocks and options on TOS. Thanks.
How do you get the $ volume traded for options and stocks? TIA
Doesnt seem like this concept worked for ANN. The blue line was below the black line for both puts and calls before ANN earnings.
Don't think you've ever shown these charts before. What should we be looking for on these charts? TIA
How did you predict that FNSR was going to fall hard. I wouldve thought that earnings were going to be good based on call volume from previous days. FNSR had a float short of 10.52%, which was the last one on your top 4 list. The top of the list was SQNM, which had a float short of 23.31%. Could you explain why you chose to play FNSR instead of SQNM? TIA
In your Predicting_Earnings.pdf ebook, you showed examples of screeners that you ran after earnings and said that for the most part RSI(14) less than 45% gives you stocks that had bad earnings, and RSI(14) above 65% typically gives you stocks that had good earnings. But those screeners only scanned for stocks AFTER earnings, which defeats the purpose of PREDICTING the earnings. Does the <45% and >65% RSI(14) concept still apply to a screener BEFORE earnings? TIA
When looking at Trades on advfn, what does it mean when a stock has 100% buy volume, but the stock was down for the day? Is it a glitch? Please advise. Thanks
Could you please explain what you mean by "What’s most important is the short float in relationship to the playable float not owned by insiders or institutions." Are we comparing Shs Float with Shs Outstand? Is it a good short play if Shs Float is higher than Shs Outstand? TIA
I would also like to know the answer to this question.
Just curious. Is this from your paper trading account or real account??
