$2.71 initial target price from See Thru Equity...
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/seethruequity-initiates-research-coverage-lightwave-140000850.html
“With increased stability (both thermal and photo optic), a cheaper and easier manufacturing process, product customization, reduced component size, reduced power requirements and increased speed and accuracy when compared to current products, it is easy to see why Lightwave Logic believes it has transformative organic nonlinear polymer technology that has the potential to replace inorganic materials like lithium niobate as the material of choice for future photonic devices in high speed telecommunications and data communications markets. Each of the devices currently under development address multi-billion dollar opportunities. We have subsequently established an initial price target of $2.71 per share,” commented Ajay Tandon, Chief Executive Officer of SeeThruEquity
"We have demonstrated an athermal silicon photonic modulator with the largest electro-
optic response, lowest power, and lowest single-ended voltage demonstrated to date
over a 10° C temperature range. The record 250pm/V (30GHz/V) electro-optic response enables error-free 1-fJ/bit and 3-fJ/bit operation at a data rate of 25Gb/s and AC coupled drive of 0.5V
PP in a 4.8µm diameter microdisk modulator over 7.5° C and 10°C temperature ranges, respectively. Driven harder, the modulator demonstrates open eye - diagrams up to 44Gb/s."

It would take me a month of intense study to understand everything in this paper, but definitely impressive.
Proto.... the linking may be part of the reason to be here, but it's also to escape from the idiots and bizarre posters over on the yahoo board and to have actual real discussions here on the ihub board.
Thanks to those who do so, and especially to those who contribute verifiable factual details.
Maybe so, but our first revenue is in the military sector, and as the guys hinted at yesterday, contracts in this sector get bigger as you have more to offer, so in the end, my guess is we are going to be glad for the connections that Zelibor has, even if he isn't a finance/marketing CEO guy.
Tom is here to right the ship when it was sinking, and he's doing it. Someone else is going to be steering soon. If I recall correctly Tom's commitment is to 2 years at the helm, and it's already 18 months or so.
Thanks Purps....
Also, there was some chatter on this board the other day about Tesla. I recommend the free Kindle book, "Tesla" for some easy reading on his life.
Stick with what we know. All the rest is smoke and mirrors.
Siraj has been here a little over a month...
Siraj Nour El Ahmadi stated, “I am extremely honored to be joining such a prestigious Board of Directors and to help the management team achieve commercialization of their products. I have been very impressed by the viability of Lightwave Logic’s organic nonlinear optical polymer technology and am excited for the opportunity to help Lightwave’s team advance their devices and materials into the market.”
Steve...
With all due respect I don't think that your analogy is a good one because the presumption is that there is only one game going on. While it's absolutely essential for LWLG to "finish the game" the electro-optic market is so large that if the goo works and it can be made in an efficient manner in large scale production, then it really doesn't matter what other companies and universities produce. It's just a matter of what fraction of the market there is for perk and its derivatives.
It's not "do or die." It's "how to do it" in an efficient way with the engineering process capable of being reproduced a billion times.
So, if I'm reading this document correctly this is highly positive news for Gigoptix. I have never held a share of GIG in my life. So, tell why I should not buy some shares in LWLG competitor. And, I am of the opinion that even if GIG is successful that's still a positive for LWLG as there are lots of different markets out there for LWLG regardless of what GIG does. It's not gonna be VHS versus Betamax... the market for EO polymers is way more complex than for videotapes.
Well, I probably bought at the high of the day at .94, but I'm in for another 10,000.
So we've got the governor's tour of LWLG on June 27 and BSmith shows up in July and LWLG starts courting institutional investors in September.
Maybe there's the BSmith OPSIS connection or maybe somebody is trying to shake loose some shares.
Thanks for the fireworks display.
Nothing ever guaranteed, but... it's way too late to "give up the ship" at this point.
Lots of chatter, lots of noise, something is up... waiting to see what it is.
So, Bob Smith... LinkedIn tells me that there is a Bob Smith who was a Member Of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories
April 1965 – March 1969 (4 years) Allentown, PA
New synthetic single crystal property research on piezoelectric and electro-optical materials
Is this you?
When you go to the Stonegate web page be sure to take a look at the powerpoint presentation... an impressive resume by Stonegate... lots of institutional contacts.
Also, Zelibor is still doing just what he told us he would do. Guessing like all of you... device ready for the road show.
He's young. He's got a family. People make decisions for themselves for all kinds of reasons. Greenlee can do what he wants. If he has a better offer and he likes the west coast, good for him. LWLG was just a stop on his resume. No problem.
I agree with wise here. Maybe, working with EMP was going to give us a prototype faster, but they were asking too much. If UCB can do it and we end up with a better deal, then we just have to trust Zelibor on this. Waiting "once more" is frustrating, but everything in Zelibor's career record points to integrity. Yeah, he told us we would have a prototype, and maybe we would have with EMP. Conditions change. Thanks Tom for the update.
You can read Glasgow's resignation letter on the sec site. It says,
"Gentlemen:
Following up on earlier discussions of this topic, I hereby resign as Lightwave Logic, Inc.’s Chief Technology Officer effective immediately. I know I leave the technical development effort in good hands with Lou Bintz, and I am convinced he will lead the team to the next level.
Further, having been invited to serve as Senior Technical Advisor to Lightwave Logic, Inc., which I understand is a non-executive officer position, I hereby accept the appointment to such position effective immediately.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Louis C. Glasgow"
What do you think that this last line means...."does not require optical alignment during packaging"? Is this another way of saying that it doesn't require a hermetical seal? Or something else?
If our LSS is Intel and if everything happens the way we hope, then the LWLG story will be legendary. I'm hoping they're testing LWLG stuff, but with the scientific resources that Intel can access I'm not sure if they have found another way to do it or if it's really LWLG.
Exactly my concern, and I'm not trying to crash the party. I've got my fill of shares from 40 cents to 1.68 over the years. I'm a believer that LWLG is going to do something. I'm just not convinced yet that it's with Intel.
Rattner Video... any evidence of LWLG? It seems like a big leap of faith to think that he is talking about LWLG. Those of you who have seen the clip... why do you think this has any connection to us?
R.J. Trotts... highly questionable for you to be one of the board monitors. No offense, just keeping it real.
"transition from thin films to devices on multiple fronts..." I think Tom mentioned 4.
Just got on - 190
Well, I'm still not sure what "substantial" event happened, but increased expenditures are coming and a "path to revenue growth".... still kind of vague.
"We expect that we will incur approximately $3,000,000 of expenditures over the next 12 months. Our cash requirements are expected to increase at a rate consistent with the Company’s path to revenue growth as we expand our activities and operations with the objective of commercializing our electro-optic polymer technology during 2013." p. 47
Maybe the Google car was just a brief diversion on the road to riches. Google did show up on the LWLG Facebook page with the driverless car. That just seemed crazy at the time, for a small company like LWLG to be posting on Facebook about a company the size of GOOGLE testing their stuff on futuristic cars. For now, Google might have found a better use for the purple goo.
Half.... keep asking and keep pushing it. You write well and your questions are right on the money. Some of us have asked these questions in the past over and over again. But, they need to be addressed, and the more people that ask (in the right contexts)then the sooner we see better performance. If there is a legitimate answer to the questions, then it's Zelibor's responsibility to answer, and it's becoming more clear that when Zelibor is convinced that change is needed he gets the job done. So, ask the questions... we need real world answers.
Let's be honest. Right now, real time, it's the same old same old. We've got hints and connecting dots and buys from the 116 of us who read this board. But, for those of us who have been in this a few years, it's the same old thing and won't be real until we sign deals and get revenue. Otherwise we're back down to a dollar until July or August, and I will buy some more.
Hi Guys...
I haven't posted over here yet, but I've been lurking because the yahoo board is so mucked up these days. Back a couple of years ago Cisco was asking for ideas on new technology, so I sent an email to them about LWLG. They wanted something more than I was able to supply to them. I corresponded a little bit with someone over there..., just told him that I am a LWLG shareholder. Anyway, I'm just saying that there are people in that company that could have done and maybe are doing something significant with lwlg if they did any follow-up at all.
I'm joining y'all over here, but will continue to monitor yahoo posts as well.
