NBT bullish report on GLYE looks to have triggered the spike
http://nbtequitiesresearch.com/report/nbt-equities-research-initiates-coverage-of-glyeco-inc-glye-with-strong-buy
Initial Buy GLYE Strong Buy $8.50 $22 Long Term 12X Upside
By Tobin Smith | April 25, 2012, 10:00pm GMT 13 hours ago
\
NBT Equities Research has initiated coverage on GlyEco, Inc., (GLYE) a glycol waste management & recycling technology company that has initiated a MAJOR consolidation play for the leading glycol recycling companies in North America. We start coverage with a Strong Buy $8.50 2013 target at 22X .40 EPS @55 million shares (fully diluted) and long term 2015 $22.50 Target based on DCF model of $60MM 2015 EBITDA or 12X Upside from the current $1.90 price-per-share. They are currently in silent period during an equity raise.
We think we have found the NEXT $Billion Waste Management/Republic Industries consolidator in America. Waste Management (WM) was the first and Republic Industries (RSG) the second. Both of these companies made their founders $billionaires and early investors millionaires many, many times over.
For many reasons, we think GLYE is the next $Billion market cap company in waste management—but this time investors get a GREEN or CLEANTECH company that has actual economics and PROFITS...who would have of thought you can BE green and MAKE green (given the Solyndra’s of the world.) We will publish our full NBT Research Report early next week but I wanted to get you the gist of our investment thesis today.
So guess what—there is a market based solution to glycol recycling with ZERO government loans that we figure can generate a $Billion or more in shareholder value...
...but THIS time you and I get a chance to invest our hard earned emerging growth capital at the beginning of the consolidation cycle as if we were buying early shares like the Waste Management (WM) and Republic Industries (RSG) investors in the 80’s and 90’s.
Who says there is no time machine for growth investors?
Note: I have followed glycol recycling since we started to research my last book “Billion Green” on Cleantech/Green Investing. What attracted me so much to the recycling glycol idea was:
A) There is a HUGE amount of very toxic glycol in the world to recycle—5 billion gallons worldwide and 700 million gallons in the US every year.
B) Virtually EVERY country in the world MANDATES recovery and recycling—glycol is a very hazardous liquid chemical that KILLS most everything it is exposed to.
C) There is MANDATED use of recycled glycol in most State and Federal governments, including the military and HUGE demand for “green” recycled anti-freeze products in transportation fleets and for retail auto owners who prefer to purchase recycled products for their car like oil or anti-freeze.
D) As such there is MORE DEMAND than supply—always a good thing in building a profitable business.
The ONE thing missing from this cottage industry (hundreds of small local recyclers) was
A) Technology to turn old glycol into Type 1 quality “virgin” glycol—i.e., the “good stuff” that is worth $500+ per barrel.
B) A significant enough amount of Type 1 recycled glycol to meet North American and world demand.
C) Somebody to put the whole enchilada together to get to the critical mass of recycled Type 1 glycol necessary to meet North American and worldwide demand.
Well THAT is the value proposition of GlyEco—their patent-pending GlyEco Technology takes all kinds of glycol feedstock and turns the vast majority of that feedstock to ASTM Type 1 recycled glycol ready to be turned into
1) Recycled plastic containers
2) Polyester Fabrics
3) Recycled Antifreeze
4) Glycol concentrate for a whole host of applications
Now add in the consolidator business model and John Lorenz. Mr. Lorenz is 30 year veteran of solid waste industry and this GLYE play is NOT his first consolidation rodeo. He founded Environmental Waste of America—now Waste Management. Early investors in Waste Management made literally millions on their initial investments... John has ONE more waste consolidation company in him and GLYE is it!
Add a very deep team with 67 years of waste management and glycol recycling industry experience, patent pending technology that revolutionizes the entire $3.5 billion US glycol recycling industry...and combine the top 12-14 players under ONE GLYE roof and you have the GLYE strategy down cold.
Just the United States consolidation and recycling technology upgrades alone gets GLYE to .40 EPS in the first year—and they are 1/3 of the way to their 12 acquisition target as of today.
By 2015 they are at @$70 million gross revenues domestic--$45 million NET revenues from International partners...and somewhere north of $60 million EBIDTA. Put an 8X EBITDA value on this and we are half way to $1 billion market cap.
Now think international—a market that is 7X the US market. GLYE has plans to by 2016 have international revenues in EXCESS of US—and 100% of that international revenue is PURE PROFIT—a 12.5% licensing fee from partners all over the world. By 2016 international NET profits—GlyEco’s 12.5% NET royalty on international recycler partners using the GlyEco system—almost DOUBLE the GROSS revenues of North America (according to the Investor Presentation they 8k’d last week).
Put EVERYTHING together in a bow and GLYE is a first: an extremely profitable Cleantech company with GREAT private market economics and NO government subsidies or loans—just mandates that glycol users DON’T DUMP toxic glycol in our rivers, streams, lakes and dumps.
In our opinion, GLYE IS the next $Billion Cleantech company...and the FIRST one to get theirs the old fashioned way...WITHOUT tax credits or government loans!
Halleluiah—strongly encourage you to pick up shares UNDER $2.50 and HOLD EM. Check out their website at glyeco.com.

Press Release Source: China Carbon Graphite Group, Inc. On Tuesday May 17, 2011, 12:19 pm EDT
NEW YORK, May 17, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- China Carbon Graphite Group, Inc. (OTCBB:CHGI - News) ("China Carbon" or the "Company"), the largest wholesale supplier of fine-grain and high-purity graphite in China and one of the nation's top manufacturers of carbon and graphite products, today announced its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2011.
First Quarter 2011 Financial Highlights:
Revenue increased 137%, from $4.85 million in Q1 2010 to $11.46 million in Q1 2011
EBITDA improved 155% from $0.99 million in Q1 2010 to $2.52 million in Q1 2011
Net income grew 139%, from ($0.86 million) in Q1 2010 to $0.33 million in Q1 2011
Adjusted net income rose 91%, from $0.33 million in Q1 2010 to $0.63 million in Q1 2011
Summarized First Quarter 2011 Results:
Q1 2011 Q1 2010 CHANGE
Revenue $11.46 million $4.85 million +137%
EBITDA* $2.52 million $0.99 million +155%
Adjusted Net Income (Loss)** $0.63 million $0.33 million +91%
Net Income (Loss) $0.33 million ($0.86 million) +139%
Adjusted EPS (diluted)*** $ 0.03 $ 0.02 +50%
GAAP EPS (diluted)*** $ 0.01 ($ 0.06) +117%
* Please see the accompanying Non-GAAP EBITDA measurements below.
** Includes non-cash expenses of $292,266.
***GAAP Earnings per diluted share on 22.6 million shares. For the first quarter of 2010, the Company reported fully
diluted earnings per share on 18.5 million shares.
Donghai Yu, China Carbon's CEO, said, "As we expected, our first quarter results were excellent. In particular, we are very pleased with the significant improvement in our EBITDA, which increased 154 percent. We successfully adjusted our product mix in the first quarter of 2011 to capitalize on market demand, producing and selling more of our higher margin products, like high purity graphite, than our lower margin products, such as graphite electrodes. Notably, our sales benefited from the increasing applications for our higher margin products in China's rapidly developing solar and mold industries."
Revenue
During the first quarter of 2011, China Carbon had sales of $11.5 million compared to sales of $4.9 million in the first quarter of 2010, an increase of $6.6 million or 137%. The Company's revenue was generated mainly from sales of graphite electrodes, fine grain graphite, high purity graphite, and semi-processed graphite products. The increase in sales was primarily due to significant growth in the demand for the Company's products as a result of market recovery, new customer developments and the Company's change in its product mix to include more high purity graphite products, the average unit price of which increased 75% in the first quarter of 2011 compared to the same period last year. Also, the rise in graphite needs in solar and mold applications increased the demand for China Carbon's products as raw material. Approximately 30% of total sales in the first quarter of 2011 were revenue from approximately 40 new customers developed subsequent to March 31, 2010.
Gross Profit and EBITDA
The Company's gross margin improved from 21% in the first quarter of 2010 to 23% in the first quarter of 2011. The improved gross margin reflects the variance in production mix, as the percentage of the Company's sales of higher margin, high purity graphite products increased significantly. Fine grain graphite products decreased its margin due to the demand shifts for higher purity graphite electrodes in the first quarter of 2011. The increased sales and improved margin of high purity graphite products offset the decreased sales of the Company's lower margin products, like graphite electrodes, and decreased margins and unit prices of its fine grain graphite products. The Company's EBITDA in the first quarter of 2011 was $2.52 million compared to $0.99 million for the first quarter of 2010, representing an increase of 155%. EBITDA includes land use tax and non-cash compensation totaling $1,042,266
Net Income
For the first quarter of 2011, net income was $0.33 million as compared to net loss of $0.86 million in the first quarter of 2011, an increase of $1.19 million or 139%.
Recent Updates
China Carbon is currently constructing a new baking plant that it expects will become fully operational by August 2011 and will increase the Company's annual production capacity from 30,000 tons to 60,000 tons. The exterior of this new facility has already been constructed. The Company plans to have its new plant specialize in manufacturing higher margin products, including large size ultra high power graphite electrode, high purity graphite and fine gain graphite.
Business Outlook
Mr. Yu commented, "Graphite prices are up across the board; for instance, the price range for large flake graphite in May 2010 was $1,300 to $1,700 per ton, now it is $2,275 to $3,000 per ton. We anticipated this jump in graphite prices and paid for additional levels of inventory in the third and fourth quarters of 2010, effectively locking in the price of raw materials before graphite prices started to climb. Due to our six month production cycle, we expect that we will fully realize the benefits from this move in the second half of fiscal 2011 and we anticipate that our margins and profitability will increase accordingly."
In an effort to further position itself for future success, China Carbon looks to integrate its upstream and downstream verticals, natural graphite mining industry and solar graphite manufacturing, respectively. The Company expects these acquisitions would afford it the opportunity to build a separate facility focused purely on nuclear graphite. The Company's expected improvement in cash flow coupled with its solid relationships with Chinese banks--notably, China Construction Bank--has China Carbon anticipating that it will be able to allocate funds toward producing nuclear graphite and the integration of upstream and downstream verticals in 2012 through its cash flow and bank financing. The Company expects an initial outlay of $12 million for the nuclear facilities.
Mr. Yu stated, "The Chinese government is committed to its pursuits of nuclear and solar energy sources as the nation looks to reduce its dependence on coal and boost energy supplies in poor and polluted regions of the country. We look forward to helping improve the quality of life in China by providing its developing nuclear and solar industries with superior quality graphite products."

Bullish article worth fowarding on TRKP
TurkPower Corp. ($TRKP.OB) continues to build its management team to become a major player in iron ore mining in Turkey.
The company has appointed Richard Schaeffer to its Board of Directors. He is an industry and investment services heavyweight. (This follows last week's addition of James Davidson to its board.)
Mr. Schaeffer is the retired chairman of NYMEX Holdings Inc. and the New York Mercantile Exchange, which went public at a valuation of $13 billion under his lead in 2006. He served as a member of the NYMEX Board of Directors from March 1990 to 2008; was the treasurer of the Exchange from 1993 to 2004, vice chairman from 2004 to 2006, and chairman from 2006 to 2008. Mr. Schaeffer has been a NYMEX member and seat owner since 1981.
The Foundation is in Place to Build Upon
For once, a quote from a new director REALLY says it all:
"It's a pleasure and honor to join TurkPower and its team of professionals," Mr. Schaeffer said. "I strongly believe TurkPower to be perfectly positioned to become a major mining and energy company in Turkey, the second-fastest-growing economy and energy market in the world. I look forward to helping the company execute its business plan and to working closely with TurkPower's management and board of directors in the coming years."
NBT expects this is one of the final "bricks" in the foundation of TurkPower's announcement of its acquisition of a controlling interest in the 20 million metric tons iron mine property they announced in February 2011 with a value of $2 billion based on current market price of approximately $175 per metric ton of 58%-62% grade iron ore.
The iron ore mine is an open pit summer mine, which can be operated from April to October and can produce up to 500,000 metric tons of iron ore per season. At $125 a metric ton NET margin, NBT assumes this to be a truly transformative transaction for the company. There is of course no assurance this transaction will close as described by management in their Jan 31, release...but where there is smoke there is fire.
$TRKP.OB is building up its team in our opinion to complete this and other key mining properties in fast growing Turkey.
At normal multiples of producing iron ore mines a transaction of this size would indicate a per share valuation of $2.50-$3 a share (with a controlling interest in the mine property).
We rate $TRKP.OB a Speculative Buy ... and give it a $2 target for 2011 (based on completion of controlling interest transaction).

bullish news out today...deal with major partner ZTE
pretty much sets the go ahead for plans in Peru.
http://wwwen.zte.com.cn/en/press_center/news/201101/t20110126_216465.html
ZTE and ChinaTel Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Global Partnership2011-01-26
26January 2011, Shenzhen – ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, today announced formation of a partnership with ChinaTel to promote the process of broadband access solutions and services worldwide. ZTE Corporation and Perusat, the subsidiary of ChinaTel in Peru, have been deploying a nationwide WiMAX (LTE-Ready) network in Peru. Phase one encompasses the eight most populated cities of Peru except Lima. Further expansion will cover the rest cities in Peru, including Lima and Callao.
The national network deployment is expected to be completed by 2017. ChinaTel has chosen to upgrade the first base station equipment ZTE is manufacturing for Perusat to take advantage of ZTE's latest wireless broadband technology, 4T8R beam forming. ChinaTel recently delivered the down payment for the order, and ZTE has commenced manufacturing. ZTE expects to deliver the equipment to Peru by May 2011. ChinaTel estimates the commercial launch of the Peru network will occur by August 2011.
"We are excited about our partnership with ZTE and its ability to fully deliver broadband equipment and end-to-end network solutions,"said ChinaTel's CEO George Alvarez. "And that helps ChinaTel's networks to stay ahead of the global competition. ZTE's advanced technology provides us the flexibility to decide in each city whether to place these first base stations farther apart and increase the footprint of geographic coverage, or to maintain the original array and serve more initial subscribers before reaching the capacity of this equipment. Both options reduce and defer our average capital expense per subscriber, and improve our return on investment."
ChinaTel's President, Colin Tay, added: "Our relationship with ZTE strengthens our plan to be at the forefront of delivering advanced internet technologies across the globe as we continue to build our infrastructure in emerging markets like Latin America and Asia."
"ZTE is pleased to add ChinaTel as our strategic partner for development of wireless broadband networks," said Mr. Zhou Hongfeng, VP of ZTE. "We are excited to work with ChinaTel to develop innovative new products and solutions to meet the expectations of commercial, government and residential subscribers to realize the full potential of wireless multi-media technologies."
bullish newsletter mention on CHGI
Focus:
1-2
Well we sorta got left holding the bag after adding to CHGI at 2.05 yesterday.....keep in mind however, our initial entry price was 1.85....Continue to reflect on that very bullish plant opening news yesterday, in particular, will double capacity as well as demand overwelming...
Reading the chart, the key here will be developing a higher low..perhaps 1.90 vs 1.80..?......so will be watching this present basing pattern...might see one more round of slippage...upper 1.80's...., but again the key being a higher low moving forward...

If CHGI can spend a full week above 2.28 (open, high, low close) it will have cleared significant resistance and will flip from a downtrend weekly to a full blown uptrend longer term
that would cause us to issue a price target of

Largest 4g wireless broadband network launch in China could be part of the reason behind this. Been seeing it coming, especially after the 48mil Golden Bridge Network deal. Nobody really understands the deal, but essentially CHTL is set to go with 26 PRC cities. And that's just the beginning.
Folks we're potentially looking at a company that is still pennies to the dollar of where it should be, when you factor in the potential ramafications of that, and the other deals they finally signed latter 2010.

ZAGG Expects Significant Third Quarter Growth; Upwardly Revises Guidance for 2010Business Wire(Wed, Oct 13)
a leading producer, designer, and distributor of electronics accessories for protecting and enhancing the mobile experience, including the popular invisibleSHIELD™, ZAGGskins™, ZAGGbuds™, and ZAGGsparq™ brands, today announced that it expects third quarter 2010 revenues to exceed $22 million, and now guides for full year 2010 revenue growth of 70%. This compares to previously issued revenue guidance of 30% growth over 2009 results. These results reflect stronger demand for their flagship product, the invisibleSHIELD, than previously anticipated as a result of recently announced distribution agreements this year, more SKUs shipped to existing storefronts, and the successful introduction of various new mobile devices in the quarter. ZAGG had not provided previous guidance for quarterly revenues.
“Preliminary results for the quarter have exceeded our expectations due to the timing of distribution agreements and new mobile devices sales surpassing industry expectations. Demand has continued to exceed our distributors’ forecasts for the invisibleSHIELD, and we have been successful in getting more branded ZAGG products into the retail distribution channel,” commented Robert G. Pedersen II, President and CEO of ZAGG. “The rapid acceptance of mobile devices in the third quarter has also been an important driver for ZAGG sales, and we see this trend continuing in the future.”

Check it out, AEZS in in their portfolio!
Focus:
Portfolio:
Aside from HEME situation and pullback support at .18 following runp to .35, DIGA making a comeback of sorts at .45. Recall buyout offer at .65 late Sept.
Like the fact NWMT is holding .0005 vs recent .0004 support. Recall highly profitable, yet trades so low.
AEZS probably should have locked in first of the Oct when things came to a halt with the mkts, but will be holdout for news for the time being......
