blackhawks...I don't imagine that any celebrity would be turned down if they expressed interest in a Go800 vanity name other than their Twitter username
That'd be great news to know.
a celeb could certainly use their vanity kewyword to take calls that updated the caller
This is along the lines of what I suggested early on in that GOIG could actually offer a package that routes the Vanity Keyword to within the Go800 system itself, basically hosting the "number" that the vanity keyword would be attached to. The Twitter holder could then upload any message/statement etc to the "number" within Go800 and that is what the texter would hear. This would be far better than, say, Anelina or Brad's cellphones ringing off the hook by who knows who.
blackhawks...Can you think of any 'celebs' who want an incoming flood of calls to load up their voicemail boxes, much less to talk with those fans
You and I don't agree on much, but on that we certainly do. I've pointed that out since the beginning and it's one significant reason why Ike has to allow Twitter users to pick any name and not just their Twitter account name.
Rickych...perhaps you want to take it easy before chiming in. If you think "sending out invititation" constitutes a launch for a "new product," then you got a lot to learn since the "new product" is supposed to be the Twitter users Vanity Keyword leasing which doesn't kick off to them until March 1, 2011.
Just like Brendan mentioned, the Feb 14 date is like a movie screening and not the release/launch of the product. If you can't tell the difference, well, don't pay for the matinee.
doone...I do think it would be big news, the biggest GOIG would ever have had to release. A concern I raised from the start was that perhaps, just perhaps, Twitter users would feel they are being targeted wihtout consent/approval as well as some penny company trying to leverage off of the Twitter name and accounts by offering a service to them when they didn't ask for it or even discuss the idea with GOIG etc.
Don't get me wrong, you know I'm for the Vanity Keyword concept, but if this isn't executed correctly it will fail imo like, well, like all of Ike's other forays.
stockpositive...maybe "personal branding" would be a natural outcome of the Vanity keyword concept, but I'm just concerned about those that no Twitter userrs wants contacting them being, essentially, able to contact them since the Twitter name is known to all "followers" etc....but because a person allows someone to "follow" them via Twitter doesn't mean they want them rining up their cellphones. I hope it doesn't backfire
yoyomama....I needed a break from the flood of news coming from Ike
Launch date delay?
So, uh, doesn't a March 1, 2011 launch date translate into an almost 1 month delay from the previously announced Feb 7th 2011 launch date?
Just another Ike-missed date?
Well if it ever gets off the ground, I'm hoping that it does well. I still despise the idea of requiring Twitter users to use their Twitter account name as the Vanity Keyword, though.
And doesn't anyone have a concern that Ike still hasn't addressed whether this is being done with Twitter, either by their tacit approval or direct involvement?
tvmetguy...you can't figure another way?? Well, like I've stated before, imo, it's Ike and some "fancy" accounting going on that is listing the restricted stock (worthless for all intents and purposes imo) that he got for those first 20 odd pennystock ticker symbols.
The mere fact Ike has not clarified that 1.3 million number....as well as the fact that STILL WE HAVE NO AUDITED FINS.....as well as the fact that no "major company" has announced it after what is now months gone by but has allegedly paid for really leads to only one conclusion: IT ISN'T CASH MONEY PAID BY ANY COMPANY OR COMPANIES.
TeddyRoos...In my opinion, if Ike/GOIG don't make this VK idea cheap (<$10), it will fail just like the original consumer-to-business concept.
On that we can agree. Most of us in support of the Vanity Concept have always said that it has to be priced at 10ish/mo for entry level service (possibly higher if there are to be unlimited minutes etc.) To price it higher, Ike might as well not even do it.
If anyone thinks that consumers aren't going to be even more concerned/conscious about pricing than deep-pocketed businesses, than this concept will indeed fail.
I've stressed even the idea of Vanity Keywords with, say 30-100 mins/mo given away for free. Yes, there will be a cost to us, but that can be chalked up to "promo" expense. Having 1 - 10 million as that Vanity user base would be a strong selling point to bring to companies.
Why there are posters here that are so adamantly opposed to the Vanity concept makes you want to wonder what they think will work when the first one...and second one...and third one have all failed so far. Aside from lowering the price (having spent almost a year on that!! ), there isn't much they have to offer.
Bingo. Close .0047. Right on target and almost on cue, though late.
Well, look for it to dip a tad more imo and then leg up to .005x level, hopefully. One never knows with any stock, let alone GOIG.
okay, so I was a day or two off with the closing price of .0047, but if no sort of interest the rest of today's trading, then it looks like we might see a close of .0041, which falls right into the original projection of .004x - .003x after that big run to .0096. Probably from the the low .004x to high .003x levels it will have another little pop....maybe to low .005x level
After that it will be mellow movements in both ways with people anticipating the "re-launch." Now I'm just as in the dark as the rest of you with the "re-launch" but I would suggest not to think that is when the Twitter Vanity Keyword campaign is supposed to be launched. My read on the "re-launch" is that it was more geared toward the website redesign and pricing structure for biz keywords etc and not for the Twitter Vanity Keyword campaign. Hey, I'd like to be wrong on that and see it all go off at the same time....and go off well at that. Please, Ike, don't drop the ball with the Vanity Keyword campaign.
MrDD...plz explain that..
Yes, I read the post, so allow me to explain:
GOOG voice is not a texting option, it's a telephone number option. While both protect the integrity of the holder's original number, they come at it from different angles (texting, telephone numbers). It's more or less like having your home guarded by a lock on the door, , video of your surroundings, an in house alarm, or alarm tied directly to the authorities. Or better yet, any sort of online account. There are several where you have a screen name, and then not only a password to gain access, but also a certain picture associated with your computer etc.
I'm not saying the GOOG voice is any better or worse, I was only answering your question about people paying for secrecy and millions of them do by paying for "unpublished numbers," so please explain that.
MrDD....I don't know anybody who would PAY to keep his phone number hidden. Do you?
Sure do. There's at least 20 million "unpublished" telehphone numbers in the USA. Those people pay anwyhere from 25 cents to $4.50 per month for "the privilege" of having their numbers "hidden."
Now being that GOIG should charge, imo, $10/mo for the Vanity concept, that might seem high, but it's not only for keeping your number secure, but also for the whole new Vanity concept. In other words, it's akin to paying your "basic monthly plan" costs associated with any regular number you would've had, albeit in the new digital realm.
tvmetguy...Yes, a good idea that we've discussed many times in the past on the board. Another thing GOIG would have to assure via the software is that the number that one ties into the Vanity Keyword cannot be revealed to the caller in any manner. In other words, it needs to be rock solid that after someone texts the Vanity Keyword and that person gets "connected" that the recipients number doesn't show up. Since, the company is connecting the texter to the Vanity Keyword owner (in a way the texters is "calling" the Vanity Keyword owner) it just needs to be certain that the owner's number isn't revealed. When I've texted before to test the system, I've never seen the number of the person/company I'm trying to reach show up on my phone, so it would seem like it can't happen anyway, but it needs to be absolutely certain that it can't via any software glitch etc.
Also, it would be good to know if the Vanity Keyword holder, before being connected, sees the texter's cell number. Does anyone know if caller id plays a part in this during normal texting to connect or does GOIG handle all of that via "back office?"
Another positive aspect of the Vanity Keyword to protect the owner's number would be if GOIG sets it up somehow in the software so that it is clear that the person texting is somehow revealed to the Vanity owner that it is actually someone texting and not just any old call/number coming through. It might be a plus to know if the person trying to reach you is doing so via the text to connect method.
Today's close: Yesterday I was a few ticks too generous on the close. As for today, don't get too excited about the little pop from the low of .0044 to .0062. Today's update was nothing really of an update. It was more of a restatement of things we already new, more or less. Once that all wears off, my guestimate is for a close of around .0047
magistercookus...Well I think one of our questions was just answered about whether or not Twitter mgmt is involved with GOIG for the Twitter campaign. That answer seems to be "no." When Ike says "targeting" Twitter, that sounds more like he's, uh, hunting for Twitter users instead of having Twitter mgmt on board with their support. It's interesting to see that the "wording" of the Twitter campaign has gone from "with" Twitter..."through" Twitter...to "targeting" Twitter. Well, that ain't the best but it could be worse: there could've been no effort to offer Vanity Keywords at all.
Mickeybritt was wondering if 2.5 million Twitter users out of 10 million retained the service what kind of revenue we would have. Heck, if only 500,000 Twitter users paid for the service, we'd make a killing in this stock. Well, that's another interesting question we'd like answered. What will be the monthly lease fee for Twitter users? The information (number of accounts projection, revenue projection, etc) about the Twitter deal is scarce, save for the piece that we're trying to do something that is directed toward them.
zeroVeritas...flip-floppin like a fish out of water is no big deal...but on the very same day as "play the 55 bounce" and "bank on close in the 70s" ?? What's makin for the big change of heart?
Oh well.....
Close .0054 estimate, guess that wasn't too far off, looks like I had the numbers reversed, as it looks close to .0045 instead. Well, that's exactly what I new from last week would happen: a little more bounce and then whammo !!! close .004x to .003x level.
I hope lots made some bank on the run up.
ZerOVeritas...Don't think it's smart to put that money in the bank...the fed's been closing lots of those lately. Most likely as I said: it went from .0096 to .0053 to .0068 when those that thought it was oversold at .0053 bought in and pushed it back up, only to get caught in the all to familiar double dump when the sellers resumed the dump that started at .0096 and pushing it to where it's at now at .0055. I still think it's gonna close around the level I mentioned earlier .0054. I was thinking a couple days ago that the dump would take it to .004x - .003x levels....but maybe that'll happen tomorrow. Hey, let's just hope it goes up based on substance and not last year's re-do. But hey, a gain is a gain is a gain. Take them when you get them.
tvmetguy...you forgot "un"
theDolphin...agree with ya on Fu. I've disliked it from the start and it more or less is just another of those LOI bs PRs imo. That being said, that's only a few of us that feel that way, and the rest might take it very negatively if it doesn't come through intead of us that want it to fall through.
Did I underestimate the close? Looks like we're already at .0055 with 80 mins to go.
theDolphin...but I think the question is, is there substance behind the move out of the .001x level or not? If this is just some kind of ruse by Ike so he can sell shares into the market, we will be right back down to the .001x level mighty quick. If there is substance (Twitter deal, 800k group, major client, etc) behind the move, then I agree, see ya above .01.
That being said, there has been squat about Fu, no info on the audited numbers, no info on whether we are directly involved with Twitter mgmt or not, etc and it's very typical of pinks to pump it up right before more bad news comes out.
Those concerns perhaps can be answered when TeddyRoss gets that conference call set up. I'll, uh, well, keep checking with him on that one.
Close today .0054 is my guestimate.
YukonKing...Well I don't think this is a p&d stock, though there are many things left to be desired/admired about Ike's actions.
I do believe that this stock could hit it real big, but that doesn't mean I will hold on without selling along the way here and there. After all, and this is a very important point: we're here to make money, not to stick to our beliefs about any particular stock. With that mindset, one is always better off.
onetimeplease...seen it too many times with this and others: huge runup....big selloff....then lots of folks think the selloff was way overdone...they buy more at the lows and stock goes up....only to be followed by the all-too-predictable double selloff pushing it further below the low prices of the first drop...
Let's hope this one breaks the mold and doesn't have that second-leg-selloff that's all too common here. I'd say to be very cautious.
jasonm1160...seems like lots of people did...or maybe just a couple MMs unloading on all the unsuspecting....or wait, could it be, dare I say, another rogue hedge fund?
MrDD...Seems like Deja-April with today's action.
Ernimax...Well I guess there might have been no substance to the run-up after all. I am hoping, though, that some positive uptrend continues, you know, with the whole Vanity-Twitter thing and all. At this rate might even make the .004x today
TeddyRoos...How's the GOIG Conference call coming along? Let us know about the status of it. Please post the call-in number etc on the board as a sticky so that we can get on with it. Really looking forward to having some questions answered.
Well, most of us saw the hammer coming down on this move up. Off about 40% from today's high and down about 25% from Friday's close. Still, not a bad point to be at from where it was 2 weeks ago. Yet I'm think it's heading to the .004x-.003x range. Probably not a bad idea to sell and then pickup some more when back down there...unless this rally has no legs and was all a big fluff run that Ike was selling shares into. We'll probably find out soon enough.
CBAILongShot...ouch, that must've hurt to see that vanish. Well, here's to hoping the stock gets to .12x so that you can get at least a 15% chunk or so of it back with your recent investment. If it gets to .12x level, there'd be so much giddiness here it would be unctrollable. Let's just see .02 first and see if there's any legs to it with news of substance.
CBAILongShot...yes, you got that right. What I'm concerned with is that it might go up a tad more from here but then in one or 2 days worth of trading the stock will get pummeled back down to the .0041 - .003 level. Hey, still not a bad move from the .001x level of just a couple weeks ago, but I think it's just bound to happen. After all, let's not forget how it hit .061 and closed at .04x that day and then finished around .01x 5 or 6 days later !! That must've smarted for anyone buying at the .05x level.
I'd like to be wrong on that and see this go to the .02x level before selling more, and then see it go even higher for others that want to hold out. Guess we will all see in the next week or so what transpires.
wvpenny10...yep, in both directions !! I'd suggest be cautious. This is, after all, a pinksheet stock.
One's got to consider many possibilities, in no particular order of importance nor a complete listing, for the recent rise in share price:
Positive Ones:
1) News about significant cash-paying client(s) signing a deal
2) Vanity Keyword campaign for Twitter users
3) Audited financials about to be released and they will be "clean."
4) Minamoo no longer on board
5) All those that sold for tax losses late last year have reached their 30/31 day waiting period allowing them to get back in on the stock (more neutral than pos or neg actually)
6) Ike bringing on a new, far more competent CEO to replace him
7) Licensing deal with any number of outfits
8) ETC
Negative ones:
1) Audited Financials. Stock being run up in anticipation of poor information from the audited fins.
2) MM's taking it up like last year and then getting ready to dump them.
3) GOIG/Ike showing up/being discussed on several pinky-related sites/blogs with no real new news, bringing in new investors playing the momentum angle.
4) Relating to #3, Ike having the stock run and selling into the run by diluting us. IT'LL BE REAL INTERESTING TO SEE WHERE THE O/S IS AFTER THIS RUNUP.
5) ETC
moos-los...that would seem like an awfully large discrepency of price. Perhaps you viewed the trade thinking it was traded as Euros.
In other words, if it was trading there at .0076 USD and you thought that it was .0076 Euros.... and then converted the Euros back to dollars, you would get .0103 USD.
Maybe it did trade there at .0135 USD, which would be great, but I just don't see that happening. Can you post a link for such?
GOIG recent run. I'm always one to keep things in perspective and wonder what is going on. Something I find "unusual" and of "concern" is that Ike hasn't come out and said anything the last 12 or so days. I many ways I guess we can be glad for that !!!! As when he usually speaks, we've seen the results.
But here we are, having increased in price by almost 700% in the last couple weeks or so and not a peep from Ike? I remember when we had significant "movement" downward and Ike/Minamoo came out with the, "it's the rogue hedge fund..." etc, baloney. Just surprised he isn't saying anything to back up the recent surge.
It just reminds me of how eerily quiet he was when it did that run up to .061 last year and then what happened after that.
I would just be cautious not to leave too much on the table this time unless there is some serious substance behind this run. Could it be the Vanity Keyword concept finally being launched? It very well could be. Could it be a big company singing on? Perhaps. All I'm saying is that if it yet again turns out to be nothing, then this stock is gonna head right back down.
But like I said, a gain is a gain is a gain, so might as well be happy and book some profits
PinchnPennies...Fortunately I've never incurred a loss with GOIG. Originally got in early last year around .0006/.0008 and sold a lot during the big run to .061. That being said, it was disheartening, to say the least, to see lots of "potential" profit evaporate so quickly for, well, the myriad reasons that have been listed here in the past. Fortunate to get a little more when it was .001x levels.
Yep, me too, glad Vanity words about to start, even though I have reservations about how they're being implemented.
J1720...All the best. We could all use a run like this to continue, but I'm just hoping there's substance behind it.
J1720...That's good to know. I have tried to stay profitable instead. Hopefully you are back in the black soon enough. If these recent daily spikes continue, that might not be too long for most.
