I have NOT heard back from Dan.eom
I was going to give a quick YES as a reply---but the reality is that every time I say up it goes down and when I say down---well you get the idea. Right now I am just going with a prayer that this stock will do well. GL
MA135-spoke to Dan, Investor Relations, he has no idea of what it is but is looking into it and promised to reply to my follow-up email. I will post whatever I get back. Also, he said that ACTC is having ongoing discussions with the FDA in regard to the IND and ma09. GLTA
Correction- FDA meeting is this coming thursday on MA135 as per the other bd. Sorry for the wrong inf, I am just relaying the info as i get it.
Thanks eom
Thanks--eom
What does approval of the ma135 line do for us --if anything?
NIH update found on the other bd--just sharing info posted by Colorwonder a few minutes ago: The info below was copy and paste. GLTA
Here is the note and the response I received from NIH...
Hello,
When do you plan to announce if the Stem Cells submitted by Advanced
Cell Tech will be allowed grant money from NIH?
Also when will you announce the decision as to redefining acceptable
lines for funding?
Thanks,
Elizabeth
Hello Ms L
The NIH Advisory Committee to the Director will be discussing the ACT
submission regarding line MA135 on Thursday, June 4, and will consider
making a recommendation to the NIH Director regarding the eligibility
of that line for use by NIH-funded researchers at that time. Other
submissions from ACT are in various stages of review—in one case, ACT
has been asked to provide additional information to NIH and so we are
waiting for that information to be submitted.
In several other cases, the ACT lines from pre-blastocyst embryos
cannot be reviewed as they do not meet the terms of the current NIH
Guidelines. However, we are finishing our analysis of the 1,200 public
comments received in response to the proposed change to the NIH
Guidelines regarding the definition of “human embryonic stem cell”. We
hope to announce a final decision soon—this will be posted on the main
NIH stem cell website, http://stemcells.nih.gov/. If the Guidelines
are revised such that the ACT lines from pre-blastocyst embryos meet
the a revised definition of “human embryonic stem cell,” those lines
will then be reviewed to see if they meet the ethical criteria under
the Guidelines for the informed consent process.
Sincerely,
The hESC Registry team

Advanced Cell Technology
I don't care about these conferences as the most we have seen is a short lived bump in pps. We are waiting for real news: FDA approval, JVs, funding, NIH approval, etc.: that list of things caldwell presented at the last conf and the one before that.
Rocky still has a position with ACTC unless I missed something. The one good thing about caldwell and lanza's number of shares is they stand to make a fortune if the pps goes the way I hope it does. I will say, the competing technologies scare me a little as one day I may read how this technology is garbage compared to the "NEW XYZ" technology. Also, the level of risk as to the success of this company becomes higher as I learn more and more about the potential pitfalls and time drags on while the O/S increase and the pps is red day after day. I am still hopeful as the thought of telling my wife about another "investment disaster" lurks in the background. GLTA
More presentations-same story. Telling folks to sit and wait on promises will never make a stock go up. No news--no increase in pps. The lack of news at these conferences seems to indicate to investors that we will be waiting longer and longer for pps increasing news while dilution is almost a given. Why would anyone invest when you are ahead by 30% or so just by sitting on the sidelines over the past few weeks. it is very frustrating to own/follow this stock. I am being patient -- but it is painful day after day.
Thank you!GLTAeom
Welcome home!!EOM
me too!!!
don't wait for me -- the fire sale is going on right now
The pps is down for several reasons IMO: the lawsuit over embryo use, potential for dilution, obligations to bondholders that I believe come up at the end of this year (please coorect me if I am wrong), the drying up of funds from current stockholders to buy additional shares, articles/organizations supporting adult stem cell research as being just as good or better (the vatican's support for NBS's adult stem research approach announced this week), the risk of FDA approval either taking forever or returning with a big "NO", and for the superstitious -- and please take this with a touch of humor, the fact that I have a bunch of shares and a horrible track record as an investor. That being said, at the moment I still own my shares while I sit and wait -- watching the pps drop and getting a little more anxious with the loss of every percentage point. GLTA
Given the latest research reports and presentations by caldwell--this should not be dropping. I told my wife that the stock keeps going up and down. That was true, but now I am really worried that it is another of my investments that turns into a large pile of garbage. Dream turns into nightmare! Sorry for the drama but this stock has me facing my wife with another -- sorry, I thought it was a good investment. GLTA
Thanks and GL
It appears that the support/buying from all the members of the different boards has tapered off and the more Caldwell speaks about what is already known without any "Good news" the more the pps goes down. I thought bottom would at 8.5, 8 then 7.5--now I will not venture a guess. I am a long, albeit a nervous long as I watch the pps fall. I welcome any thoughts as to why the downturn over the past few days. JMHO
He is still speaking - just a different time slot. He had a schedule conflict
JMHO_____ the latest S-1 brings us closet to 1 billion shares--Caldwell is guaranteed a percentage of the company and could care less about how many Shares are issued. I believe that he will go to the 1.75 billion number of shares authorized. Why? because the cash from these shares will come easy to him and he has nothing to loose by taking it for any reason he wants---hopefully to help the company succceed or perhaps to pay his salary or give himself a bonus. If actc succeeds he gets his 7 percent of the mkt cap no matter how many billions of shares are outstanding. Dilution is NOT a concern to him as it is to the rest of us. IMO Caldwell and company are pigs without any concern for the common shr holder. I intend to contact ACTC and let them know that there lack of concern for the common share holder is obvious and appalling -- he may listen to share holders if enough of them complain. JMHO for today given that dilution is a common practice at ACTC with Caldwell and company being pigs and screwing the little guy.
Thanks, God bless and GL:EOM
Rocky, I have no right to ask you to reconsider --but I will. You are the "good guy" in this confusing mess that the rest of us need. Yes, (forgive me) but you are the "anti-Caldwell" and we need you. I am sure that we all want you to stay, even if you only hold on to one share.
Bristol Case IMHO --and please correct me if I am wrong--Bristol does not want the cash - it is a drop in the bucket to them. They want the shares--1.5 million dollars at .02 with the ability to buy more. That is a miniimum of 75 million shares or about 7 or 8 percent of the company. JMHO GLTA
IMHO_ until we get an FDA approval, ACTC is just another pharma company with big promises(and there are thousands of them) combined with the strong potential for more dilution!! that is why the pps has been trading sideways and now lower. Also, I know that the moment I sell, the FDA approval will be announced. I own a bunch of shares and sit here everyday like everyone else --hopeful and WAITING and WAITING and WAITING. I just hope that it all works out for us/the investors on this bd. I hope we close green today-- it would be nice!!
i picked up the selling info on another bd. It appears that caldwell and lanza may have filed to sell some of their shares. See a reply from Rocky explaining their potentail sale. My understanding (or perhaps misunderstanding -- I do not want to mislead anyone) is that caldwell/lanza have filed to be able to sell some shares. My understanding is that they have shares that are restricted from being sold for one year and some that are not. I believe that a recent post by Rocky in response to my post explained that they MAY want to get some cash for themselves by selling a portion of what they own. Again, I say that it APPEARS TO ME that they may want to be in a position to sell some shares if the price takes a spike -- for example; the day we get FDA approval. I welcome any correction/explanation to the above statements--GLTA
Rocky- Caldwell, Lanza selling some of their shares makes me nervous. Why sell at ten cents if they TRULY believe that the stock will be worth so much more later on?? THANK YOU
Is the 876 number all inclusive--thank you in advance
Trading reported at the following link under actc-------www.TheHotPennyStocks.com
ACTC Technical glitch--all is well according to dan (PR guy at actc) --technical adjustment should occur soon and there is no problem with the company
JMHO__I hope that this lawsuit is REALLY done with but I sincerely doubt it. Many companies will settle out of court even if they are right just to avoid the risk, distraction and fees. My OPINION is that the plaintive will get something just to walk away - probably some shares. It is very difficult to make deals, run a business, deal with Federal agencies, etc. when you are involved in a court case and MUST be in court on certain days -- and the plaintiff knows this. Also, the plaintiff knows that any significant entity interested in ACTC will think twice with a lawsuit pending--partners/wall streeet hate uncertainty. As it stands today, there is still a potential lawsuit/albatross around ACTC's neck. I hope to read a posting (based on concrete facts) that I am wrong -- tomorrow would be good. GLTA longs.
What are the implications for ACTC -- if any --good, bad, none. Thank you in advance and GLTA
Rocky - thank you. There is some speculation in regard to a takeover by the debt holders/preferred stock holders (Terren P comes to mind). Personally, I can not believe that the DOD and SEC, etc would allow such a thing to occur? Perhaps, I am nieve? Thank you for keeping things real! lol, harlem
Rocky -this is my first post. I have been following this bd for about a month now and read some of your posts on the number of shares that potentially may be outstanding -- I believe 1.5 billion is the last number I saw. I read your post today on the debt holders and their selling of shares/warrants they have etc. and the issuing of new shares to pay off the debt holders. It would appear that ACTC is a share producing mill. Is the 1.5 billion number a worst case scenario or just a number that will grow (if this sounds like a question from someone not well versed in finance - you would be correct). I have owned shares for a while now and am sitting here as a long a little concerned about more dilution. I also realize that ACTC has the potential to have a multi-billion mkt cap. (maybe I answered my own question) Also, any chance that ACTC can retire some of this debt? Thank you for your great posts on this bd and I wish all the longs the best.
