Fereb,
Regarding 'negative news'.
My friend there are large Institutions invested in our company.
We have excellent expertise on our BOD
Our personnel are the most senior and qualified Oil folks in the business.
What we have here is Wall Street fodder!
Don't be swayed by their GREED to get our shares.
Nothing can change the fact that we have oil in Guinea.
Nothing can stop Hedge Fund manager from trying to steal our shares.
Hang in there.
Robert
I really believe those who are selling are doing so through the advice of their broker and those investors absolutely know nothing about our company, Ray or Wildcatting.
I think those folks who are selling now and making a foolish mistake and this will come back to haunt them.
Hedge Fund managers and brokers are making big-time profits off our company. Using their algorithms, money and connection to Wall Street. They've had their way with our company since last Jan 2011 when Blackrock bought in or did Blackrock bring them in?
I do wish Ray Leonard would give an update but I guess it has to be on his terms in order to get the most PPS for retail longs. And when he does give the next update (after-the-fact) we'll all very very wealthy.
Robert
Yes, Continental has a main hub in North Houston. I'm not sure if he would first fly to the UK where the BOD of directors are then go to Conakry or fly to Paris then through to Conakry.
Whichever route he chooses I do hope he is there.
I'm praying that we do get the PR. It's now 2am CST. I thought I'd wait up to see if anything.
No Mitch, not a possible look alike scenario.
She told me she actually seen him walking inside the airport.
If only had she approached him and introduced herself as an investor then I would feel confident about her spotting Ray Leonard.
But I do understand her position as an airline employee and her boundaries.
But, we spoke a couple of times this afternoon and she does feel it was him.
I can only say if it was me who spotted him in the airport I would have re-introduced myself to him and tried to buy him lunch so I could (legally) pick his brain. If it was good information, believe me, I would book myself on the same flight possibly sitting next to him.
I could certainly justify the cost of that flight.
Robert
Randy, this is as far as I'm capable to go with the information that I have, unfortunately.
As I wrote, I did call HDY and asked for Mr. Leonard but I have no way to confirm his itinerary.
You and I have been in HDY for many, many years and have heard so many kinds of rumors, rants and hypothesis.
I do have a couple of friends who work inside the airport and two of those friends are also (because of me) HDY investors so my friend who called me does know about Ray Leonard and what he looks like.
I asked her if she actually approached Ray Leonard and spoke to him and she said she was unable. She works in the President's club (Continental Airlines) and was walking towards the club when she (allegedly) spotted him and immediately called me on her cell.
I've never posted rumors or false hopes, either here or on the other board but I do hope her sighting was not an epiphany.
A friend of mine who works at Continental Airport in Houston told me he spotted Ray Leonard inside the airport inside the International flight area.
My first gut reaction was that he may be on his way to Conakry for an important joint announcement.
I immediately called HDY and asked to speak to Mr. Leonard and was told he was traveling.
I have my fingers crossed.
It's amazing how Fund Managers can control the market and how Wall Street can scare retail investors to sell stock at such a low share price.
Who/How could anyone possibly sell their valuable HDY shares!
The fact that there is no news is designed by Wall Street and probably HDY as well.
This is what happens when retail investors use a 'broker' and fail to do their own Due Diligence.
I'm positive that retail investors who do their on D/D are not selling TODAY.
I'm not annoyed by the low share price as much as I'm annoyed at the ignorance of retail investors who are selling their shares TODAY at such a ridiculous price.
No wonder Hedge Fund managers make hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit. Though, not one penny from me!
The announcement will definitely come before December 29, 2011
From today's volume seems like the 'Hedge Fund' managers are creating/taking advantage for themselves; SHORTING HDY to gain profits before the 'good news' takes hold November mid month.
Seems this may be the last chance for them to create 'short and profit' on HDY before our 'finally' break-out.
I'm going to just quietly stay back this week and watch with interest how they 'manipulate' the market with their thousands and thousands of computer generated $100 and $200 trades . . .
It proves that 'Money Makes Money' in the market.
GLTA
Yep Camarillo,
that seems like a sound way to buy into HDY.
Using Fund Managers automated 'SHORT' programs to work against them.
Priceless!
Watching Level II
It seems to me the Institutions and Retail Investors have taken a break and have step back watching the Hedge Funds working the majority of HDY trades.
Looks like all the action is coming from Hedge Fund automated programs!
Very little volume so far as the whole market is down.
I wonder what those Hedge Fund Managers are thinking?
Is this the 'best action' they can take before an announcement?
Retail Traders are not selling
It's 10:05am and the Hedge Fund programs have HDY down -0.15
They're just playing with their own money holding the SP down.
All those trades are from Hedge Funds.
Ciao Olli,
Thank you for your kind words. . .
You know I say the Rosary everyday using the Rosary beads you gave to me. You had them blessed by the Pope when you sang for him a few years ago at the Vatican.
I'll never forget what you wrote to me: "These Rosary beads were blessed by the Pope from His hands to mine into your hands..."
I don't know if ever we will meet but you are always in my heart.
Yea, I'm going to gain a fair amount of financial wealth from HDY but the friendships I've made certainly are 'priceless'.
God bless you, Olli.
Your friend,
Robert
Small World.
My first purchase was March 14 2000!
Well, it's finally our time.
Rocky road it was.
A hell-of-a ride too.
I owe much thanks to MU_Redskin. A couple of years after I purchased I was going to sell.
I emailed MU_Redskin (when I was a member on the IV board) and asked for his advice.
His response back to me proved to be the best financial advise anyone has ever given to me.
He did not advise me to sell or hold but I read between the lines and sensed his honesty and his heart.
I truly appreciate Mr. MU_Redskin. He's a good guy. I never met him yet he has a positive profound impact on my life.
I made my own decision but his email to me was the reason for my proactive investment in HDY.
Every day or every other day he would post information about then HYPD and I would research what he wrote. He always wrote: "do your own due diligence". Good advice.
My HDY investment will definitely allow me to live my remaining senior years in excellent financial comfort.
Robert
Hi nikhoog1,
I believe You're absolutely correct when you wrote: " . . .Retail optimism is definitely part of their equation . . ."
and " . . .we move into a different playing field, where realities instead of expectations . . ."
We must be in a new playing field as the drill is actually into the water and the expectations of ever drilling has now been accomplished.
I pray that as you wrote: "...this could indeed be a landmark week and month!" we are finally after all these years will see our investment in a positive direction to reach our goal.
Robert
I honestly believe that Hedge Fund Managers actually log onto this website as well as IV website and do read the posts.
I honestly believe that we longs give our hand away by what we write about how strong we feel about holding this stock and not selling.
I honestly believe that Hedge Fund Managers believe it when HDY longs write about how much stock they own and how good we feel our investment is and how we will hang on to it no matter what.
I honestly believe that Hedge Fund Managers use our post to their advantage when making a decision to choose a particular stock to short.
I honestly believe that these past couple of years Hedge Fund Managers laughed as they read what we wrote and used our loyalty to this company and Ray Leonard against us to short the stock.
I honestly believe that very soon Hedge Fund Managers will be reading about another company and will make a decision to short that company as HDY no longer will bring profit.
But then again, what do I really know about Wall Street. I've never worked for a Hedge Fund nor have I ever worked on Wall Street.
I honestly believe that soon the shorting of HDY will stop and I will finally after 11+ years of holding this investment that I will reap my rewards for my good sense not to allow Hedge Fund traders to scare me out of my investment.
I honestly believe what I just wrote.
I honestly believe that I don't have to wait much longer to find out what I honestly believe is believable.
Good luck to all longs.
CHM,
Forget about it!
I'm going kayaking on Lake Livingston for the rest of the afternoon.
See ya!
WoW! Just walked into the house to get a cold drink and a sandwich and checked stock.
Dow Jones and Energy is down and S&P 500 is even yet . . .
HDY is up!
This must be good . . .
Is that your personal time-frame . . . early November?
I sure had thought the beginning of the last week of October would be the end of Hedge Fund Managers shorting the stock.
Oh well.
Guess I'll go outside and enjoy the sunshine . . .
Maybe, perhaps I'll come inside in a couple of hours and find a pleasant surprise of share price moving positive.
Enjoy your day my friend.
CHM,
I'm sitting here in my living room glued to my laptop and my eyes are gazing at the monitor . . . wondering, finally, after all these years . . . are we here?
I sure hope this is not another play by Hedge Fund Managers only later to take the share price down once again to make a quick buck before HDY hits oil.
So many times in the past this has happened . . .
Those Hedge Funds guyz with their fast connections to NYSE and their sophisticated Hedge Fund software programs sure know how to set this up.
When I see those 100 and 200 share buys in the hundreds within minutes, I can feel the hair on my neck rise. Here they go again, perhaps one last time before we find oil.
But now I say to myself, hey, the drill-bit is in the water!
Are they that arrogant and greedy to again short the stock, especially at this point in time?
. . . I wish I knew.
Tracking XOP early in the morning is a very enthusiastic sign for a positive day of HDY share price.
I'm pumped!
It's still early yet the Dow, S&P500 and Energy are all Red and HDY is down only 1 penny.
I sure hope this is a good sign.
This Morning The World Market is in the Red.
When The World Market Is Down The Effect On HDY Is Unfavorable like so many other stocks.
Soon, HDY will find oil and the World Market will no longer have a negative effect on HDY share price.
I wonder what this will feel like to me as an Investor knowing the World Market is in the Red and HDY is booming.
Rule, your wrote: ". . That timeline is consistent with the 45 days Ray stated it should take to complete each well..."
Do you think based upon consistency of 45 days Ray stated it should take to complete each well that we may see a substantial increase in share price the last week of this month?
Sorry for asking so many questions. Just trying to get a ball-park picture of the value of my portfolio at the end of this month as I collect SSI and teach part-time at the University as my source of income.
Thanks in advance.
Rule_62 your wrote " . . .I suspect that if there is a PR timed on the drill bit turning after the BOP is in place and tested . . ."
Do you have any kind of a time-frame of 'the drill bit turning' in mind that you could share with me?
Much appreciated.
Thanks for the TA Randy, that makes a lot of sense to me. . .
Unfortunately @ $4 range if it stays under $4.25 but, this could change getting closer to 4PM if the share price is well above what it is now (11:am EST).
I feel it's just too soon for a break-out.
Until we receive news i.e. PR from Ray.
I believe once we receive media from Ray then a break-out is going to happen.
Of course this is all IMHO.
Rule,
What I sense is HDY floating with the current.
Regardless of the storms (Shorts), the current is going to move HDY onto the direction of it's course. Finding Oil in Guinea.
Some may want to abandon ship because the storm scares them but trying to swim will get them nowhere, except to eventually sink.
I believe HDY can weather the storm; will not sink and can make it to finding oil.
Ray Leonard is the Captain of this ship and it's this Captain that makes the journey of getting to the oil possible and fears not the storm and has many times the experience to successfully staying the course no matter how bad the weather.
From what I've been personally told about Ray Leonard from folks (that I trust) who have actually worked with him on oil projects; he's awe-inspiring!
Just take a look at the BOD that he created and the staff he hired. I was informed that those folks don't leave the jobs they had to go elsewhere. Their credentials speak well for Rays accomplishments.
I believe Ray Leonard is much bigger than those blow-hard Wall Street boys and I only have to wait a few more weeks to prove it.
I believe that Randy hit the nail on the head when he wrote:
"Gotta hand it to the buyers at the institutions...they've done a spectacular job of prying shares out of retail!"
Those Wall Street traders are shrewd and they know how to scare retail investors into selling their shares, by F-U-D.
It's just a ploy that has been said and tried on Wall Street since it's beginnings.
I'm sure within two weeks after we spud we'll see a significant share price increase.
Smart retail investors will reap rewards for their patience.
Fear and Patience . . . that's how money is Lost and Made on Wall Street.
Good, Bad or Indifferent, it is the human trait that will press return keys on the computer that programs 'Technical Analysis' and manages portfolios.
Hi xDTJx,
Thanks so much for your response and explanation. Reading your post made me feel great in knowing that others see the potential of HDY.
I've been waiting for this (drilling) since March 2000 when I first purchased stock in then, HYPD.
I never sold. I bought whenever I had extra cash and took a lot of heat and ridicule from my friends and relatives for 11+ years.
I believe that you meet the nicest people on this HDY message board.
When share price hits $9.00, I'm buying a new Harley motor cycle as my reward for patience. Oh yea and a new house, new car, new clothes, new girl friend and etc . . . LOL
Glad to meet you.
Robert
Hello xDTJx,
I realize that mathematical models have value and in a more profound view, this is so risky for the shorts.
I wonder, is this just a computer program hedging against HDY?
Greed?
We're so close to drilling. And the facts (3D analysis) seem to favor HDY finding oil more so than a black swan scenario.
HDY may be an exception to the rule . . .
I'm a private investor, reading everything I can find about HDY, speaking to those in the oil industry who personally know and have worked with Ray Leonard in Russia (I live in Houston) and I'm certainly not a professional investor.
I believe those Hedge fund traders who have short HDY had a wonderful opportunity to make money off the backs of the retail HDY investor (after all this is how they make their money) but they also understand given the facts about HDY and their find in Guinea, it's now time to release their claws on our company and let the share price excel.
I hope you're correct regarding HDY move upwards to the 4.35-4.45 range.
In my opinion, I'm looking forward to a turn-around in share price the first week of October and from then on.
We all know that you can't stop progress and the fact that Jasper is traveling to Guinea is progress.
I sure do hope you're right. We should (and I hope too) be in the $7.00 range at the end of the first week of drilling. . .
Nice day for owning HDY
Here you go . . .
http://aprs.fi/info/i/564347000
Yep! There's a lot of smart folks here...
I'll tell you Rule,
I've been in this company for over 11 years and I have never felt so inspired as I feel today.
I'm so grateful we have a world class BODs and a great CEO who is an accomplished geologist with excellent business sense and oil industry exploration experience.
As far as Institutions and Hedge Managers; they're going to watch this company bring in the oil as they don't have to power to take away the oil (that is in the ground) that will be discovered by the JASPER in (49 days, (JMHO)) October 2011.
How they decide to play the market is up to them. I believe that their greed will cause them a financial blow (Cramer and his boyz are not perfect) or they could be smart and make a lot of money along with us Longs.
Nobody has to try and kill our company to make a buck. There are much better and safer ways to make money with our company and that is to let Ray Leonard do what we hired him to do.
Hi Rule
You are certainly right!
I have to get myself out of that old funk that I was in when matters were not going well just before the Wattz Boyz turned the company over to Ray Leonard.
The drop certainly has nothing to do with the Watts or anything they say or do.
I deeply regret writing my feelings as I should keep my post to realistic matters instead of conjecture.
Whitenoize,
I know you are 100% right but it just seems that this morning everything was going well with the share price until the media came out with that write-up about the Wattz boyz and then I watched the stock decline.
I guess it's just me of all those years with the Wattz running the company and all the BS we had to endure.
Better times are here now that we have Mr. Ray Leonard.
I'm deeply concerned anytime the Wattz boyz are involved with anything that has to do with HDY; there's TROUBLE!
