I have 20 million shares in paper certificate form from an old purchase. Would love to sell them but can't get a brokerage to accept due to the pps. Most want 25c. One will accept 1c. Does anyone know of a brokerage that would accept them? Thanks in advance
What about the other players in this fraud. What about the attorney and general counsel Roger Fidler? I find it hard to believe that he had no idea what was going on. I believe he's the one who wrote the release about the spin-off overseas corp. and shares we were supposed to get. And he was the face of the company when all started going bad. He's in this up to his neck. IMO.
We need a lawyer to weigh in. My understanding is that if they DELIBERATELY disseminated false and misleading information that they have committed fraud and lose the protection that officers of a company are normally afforded. Obviously there would be a huge burden of proof that would have to be proven that they did this.
Some of the history here that could be looked into, in my opinion, are the MIami fiasco, the skin cream, and the BVI shares. Was there really ever a Miami trial that was agreed upon. There was never a press release from the University that corroborated what PROT was releasing. Was there ever really a cream that was to be developed and marketed? Was the BVI restructuring ever really pursued? Just some, of many, questions.
But might be able to sue the individuals such as Fiddler and Cohen if it can be shown that they deliberately misled us and acted fraudulently. They would have personal liability if that can be proven and could not hide behind the company. And I'm sure that both of them have significant assets. Also, if the Board had knowledge, they could also be held liable individually. If anyone out there wants to pursue this, I am interested in joining an action.
Sheepy, where are you? We need some words of encouragement.
We're toast!!!
True, but I doubt that Sheeple will take my offer.
50 cents each and you have a deal. If you're so confident this should be a homerun for you. Let me know and we can start the process.
I respectfully disagree. Nothing indicates otherwise.
I agree with Mongoose. This is already looking like a 100% loss for everyone. As I've said before, this will likely end up very bad for all who are waiting for BVI shares. Fidler and Cohen are arrogant and dismissive of shareholders. They just don't care about anyone but themselves. Their agenda is secretive and self serving. They have misled the shareholders every step of the way. Their silence is deafening. The information that Fidler gives out are just smokescreens. I say hire an attorney and try to get to the bottom of this disaster. Those of you who say we should just wait and hold on are nothing but dreamers. Naive dreamers being led to the slaughterhouse. All just my opinion of course.
90 minutes to go to get the announcement out this week. You know, the one that was supposed to go out last week. Holding my breath. Oh Roger. Oh Roger. Can you ever tell the truth?
So rubs, what did Fidler tell you?
And if things were going well in the trials don't you think that one of the mega biotechs such as Celgene or Amgen or Gilead, all of whom have seen their stock prices explode over the past year, and of whom are flush with cash, would have made an offer to buy out little PROT? That is the way this industry works. This is all going to end bad for all of us waiting for those BVI shares, IMO.
And here is my post #3127 from 6 weeks ago. Good luck speaking to Roger, you'll need it.
Ok, just called the number and Roger Fidler answered. I have exchanged e-mails with him before and found him to be rude and condescending. Today was even worse. I got about 5 minutes of his time before he hung up on me without any warning. When I called back he answered again just to tell me that he would never answer one of my calls again. The substance of the 5 minutes of conversation was:
1. The transfer agent that Mongoose is referring to is the US transfer agent for the new "stromacel" company and will have nothing to do with issuing the BVI shares.
2. The company is dealing with a different international transfer agent for the issuance of the BVI shares. Though that process has been started he said that it is going very bad. They are trying to have the shares issued electronically so that they just appear in our brokerage accounts but he sounded like that is a longshot at best. The backup plan is to contact all 900 shareholders and have them mail in stock certificates proving they were shareholders on 1/18 and the company would then have to process each of them individually and issue new physical certificates for the BVI shares. He couldn't even give me a time frame estimate as to how long that would take. I would think at least 6-12 months, or longer, or never.
3. Without ever raising my voice, or getting confrontational with him, I then asked him why he hasn't sent out a press release updating the shareholders on the BVI shares process. I asked him if he could give me an explanation over the phone in a couple of minutes, why couldn't he do the same in a press release so all the shareholders could stay informed. He dismissed the idea indicating that he had no obligation to do so. I reminded him that many people bought shares of PROT the week of 1/18 so as to get the BVI shares, and those purchases were based on the press releases earlier that month. And that PROT has crashed from .80 to .18 since then with no update from the company. He didn't care. My next question was how would he feel if he was a shareholder, and not the CFO and Lead Counsel. Would he think that no press release update would be fair then? That's when he hung up on me and told me never to call back.
4. Fidler indicated that about 20 shareholders call him regularly and the other 880 or so do not. Maybe everyone should call him.
I'm done with PROT. Divested all my shares today. If the BVI shares come, great. If not, another lesson learned down here in the pinks.
Someone should contact the SEC. The press releases were premature and there was never a plan in place to follow through. Many people were duped into buying shares based on those press releases and lost money. Roger Fidler should have to answer for that.
When we don't get our BVI shares there will just be another in a long list of lawsuits against this joke of a company. IMHO
Update? Are you kidding? That update was over 3 months ago. Where is the new update? You know, the one that takes the shareholders out of the dark. This management cares nothing about its shareholders. There is only disdain and disrespect. I, like everyone else, am waiting oh so patiently for our BVI shares. I, not unlike everyone else, tried to speak to Roger Fidler and was dismissed and hung up on. No one here should be holding their breath. Never going to happen. IMHO.
Refer back to my post #3127. Not the same Roger Fidler I spoke to.

You gotta stop it. Laughing so hard.
And what's the common thread with all theses guys and their stocks? All pumped by a famous stock promoter and subsequently dumped. As someone used to say on another board, "we've been had Dad".
Now that is funny. You think they have the same throw away phone? You think they read off the same script?
Mongoose has spoken to him and I have e-mailed him. Several times. Nothing good has come of it. He refuses to give us any truthful answers and refuses to give an update. His treatment of the shareholders is despicable.
Not taking it the wrong way and did OK on some of those plays, just pointing out that these companies were never going to make it. They were just pumps and dumps, all of them. If someone can figure out how to swing trade them to make profit, all the more power to you and your ability to time the trades. And it seems like you've got the knack. But to hang around any of these stocks thinking that they they will actually reach their Barry predicted potential is ludicrous. It will never happen. These are manipulated swing trading stocks, not real companies with real potential.
Amazing how we all got suckered into some or all of the same dogs. USPR, PROT, INTK, BIZZ, SLMU, IPWG to name them. What do they all have in common? They were all promoted by a famous stock promoter named Barry (the iceman). They all spiked early last year upon his touting. And they all were dumped at about the same time a couple of months later to never recover. Not a coincidence if you ask me. And no hope for any of them if you ask me. IMHO only, of course.
How 'bout that pps. How 'bout those BVI shares. How 'bout that shareholder update. How 'bout that press release. Are there bigger low lifes than MC, the scientist, and RF, the pink sheets queen.
Did we get our BVI shares today?
Why can't it be both. Both incompetence AND willful misdirection. That's my take on him.
Why hasn't anyone initiated a civil lawsuit against Toscano and Benvengo? The press releases showed a pattern of misrepresentations and lies. Safe harbors will not protect them. Isn't there an attorney out there that got screwed by them? I'm sure there are many of us who would join an action.
If you're referring to their scientists, I agree. But the people who run this company and make the business decisions are a joke. The shareholders are an afterthought. Mistakes made every step of the way. I've listed the problems before. The Miami fiasco. The SEC investigation. The stem cell cream that was supposed to launch 4th qtr '12. Ever get follow up on these things? The collapse of the pps which reeked of a pump and dump with the help of a well known stock promoter. The ridiculous credentials of the new CFO who who was decertified as an accountant in his state of practice. Now the restructuring and BVI company mess which has once again left us in the dark.
Thanks for the response. Well thought out and probably very close to the truth. This is a company with great potential, but unfortunately with terrible leadership at the top.
Does anyone out there care that we still don't have the BVI shares? Or that the company has not updated us? Its been over a month since the 1/18 date for getting the BVI shares. I have sent a couple of e-mails to Roger Fidler asking for a press release or shareholder letter to no avail. Fidler and Cohen, if you ask me, are behaving despicably.
How 'bout that pps. Jokes on all of us who held on when we could've dumped after the 18th. We're all gonna get our BVI shares anyway and could've bought back in if it started to run.
Thanks for the update. I had sent him an e-mail asking him to update the shareholders (his fiduciary responsibility) but he has not answered. Not impressed with him at all. Seems shady and dismissive to the shareholders.
By the way, the stock transfer next week that you refer to - did he specify whether that is only the prot to stromacel shares or is it also the prot ltd BVI GXG shares?
Yeah, I know.
Why don't you share your good information with those of us who have not tried hard enough to get it. Assuming its not insider information you should have no problem doing so. You know, to help the rest of us shareholders.
Now THAT is funny. I'm conditioned to think the worst after that fiasco.
Why is this board so quiet? Are we the sheep being led to slaughter? Where is the change to Stromacel? Where are our BVI company shares? Why has nothing changed except for the pps of PROT? Why is no one hollering? The magic date was 1/18, almost 3 weeks ago. I, for one, sent an e-mail to Roger Fidler asking him for a shareholder update. Has gone unanswered. Does anyone have anything?
Anyone have any news on the name change or the BVI company?
Starting to become very worried that we were set up, and left holding the proverbial bag. The way the stock has traded, it sure seems as if some insiders knew that Friday the 18th was the actual day that share ownership would convert to the GXG stock and bought at the end of the week knowing that they could just dump their newly bought stock on Monday with no repercussions to them. Us longs didn't believe that the 18th was the day and kept holding onto a crashing stock for the fear that we would be left out. I think we were wrong. Just another example of how the small guy, the average investor, has no shot playing the penny stock non-reporting game with the professionals. The game is rigged, and always has been.
While you're at it, why don't you ask Fidler why the clinicaltrials.gov website has not been updated by PROT since 10/19 - 3 mos now. They announced in a pr that they have started the trial on at least one patient and that is supposed to be reflected in the national registry.
I still have big time doubts about this company, it's leadership, and what their true agenda is.
