We should start a betting pool as to when the next reverse split occurs! Either that or how long it is going to take NWMT to print shares to get to the next higher magnitude level of outstanding shares (10X higher than the current amount, 100X higher, etc!).
And what auditing firm is going to do that report? Are they going to be a reputable one? (Unlike the last audit firm!). Is anyone going to even believe what's in the Q report? The last several years aren't worth the ink they are printed on! The only thing NWMT excelled at in the last few years is printing shares!
The silence is deafening in response to your very excellent questions! That's because there is no good answer to them! Well, we know what the answer is, but the boosters of the stock won't like it....
Have to laugh at those huge dollar amounts traded. Doesn't the commission add at least 10% to the amount traded? I just don't get it. Just a ploy to lure others in....
NWMT's focus on Homeland Defense and Security (alleged focus) is OLD news. They touted this back in 2006 or so! Others can provide more detail, but I remember it.
Let's put it this way, to work in those fields EVEN AS A SUBCONTRACTOR, they would need cleared employees possessing US Secret or higher clearances.
I'd be glad to wager a bet that they have NO employees posessing Dept. of Defense or Homeland Security clearances.
I should know, I work in that field and possess a high level DOD clearance. Those clearances take money and time (money to pay for the investigations). Have you ever seen a line item in NWMT's budget for getting their employees cleared?
Let's face it: They have NO business interest in that area. I challenge anyone to prove to me they do.
More "hype" and nothing else!
"Across the globe, NewMarket is a Microsoft and Oracle partner, distributes various computer hardware and peripherals from brand partners such as Dell, HP, IBM, Cisco, Sony, Epson, Canon and Sanyo and is also an authorized reseller of operating systems and various software from companies such as Red Hat, Sybase, IBM, BEA, Veritas and others. Additionally, the Company works with emerging technologies such as mobile computing, various security and wireless broadband technologies. NewMarket's rapid growth since 2002 placed the Company on the Deloitte Technology fast 500 for 5 consecutive years. NewMarket was recognized as the third fastest growing technology company in the United States in 2006 and the number one fastest growing technology company in North Texas for two years in a row."
Big deal, lots of companies are a "Microsoft and Oracle partner" and authorized reseller for all those other companies.
In fact, I would say, if they are all of those things, they are stretched way too thin.
And, recently (I don't know, maybe 6 months ago?) there was some big Microsoft hosted conference, and NWMT put out a press release making it sound like they were a major partner of Microsoft. I doubt Microsoft even knows their name, if asked....
Someone prove where those 500 employees are. People have searched places like www.linkedin.com for example and turned up NONE. Show me one other company with 500 employees that you can't find some on linkedin, especially a high-tech company.
I and others would like to see real proof of these alleged 500 employees. Until then, "alleged" is the key word. NWMT has been touting that number for several years now....
Very sorry to hear what NWMT caused you to have to do regarding your grandson's education.
I lost a lot of money ($40K roughly) on NWMT but I was fortunate in that I did not need that money anytime soon and I have since made it back on other stocks. But at the time it hurt BAD, very BAD.
I feel for you and others who lost money on NWMT and it affected things such that they had to make lifestyle (education, or other) choices for themselves or their dependents. It's a very sad thing, the list of people who have been very negatively impacted by Verges and his hype is a long one....
I too am very very very curious about the "NEW accounting company" they are going to hire.
I sure hope that is a far more reputable than the last one....
Anyone who trusts the numbers put out by the last one, which that firm was proven to be fraudulent, is fooling themselves...
I for one think those numbers were pulled out of thin air, just like that firm did with other companies they audited!
And what other company's officers ever recommend day trading their stock and not holding it? I've never ever heard of that! It is a very unique thing for a company's officer to say, that's for sure!
I don't invest in a company to day trade, I hope to invest for the long run. I am not usually a short term investor. Back when we all got in NWMT, we were told to invest in it for the long run and it was going to be a highly innovative company and make great money and our shares would multiply in value many times and we'd get dividends from the subs, etc.
Now, seems like they've reversed course, they themselves recommend the stock for day trading.... What does that say?
There's a very good reason NWMT is marked "Buyer Beware" on the OTC obviously. They know the shady accounting practices, and other things going on and know that not much that is put out about this company is to be believed. I won't even bother to address the subs....
"They will be at least at 1/2 a penny by January"
Let's mark that post and see if it comes true. I've seen posts like these before, and history has proven them all wrong.
The only way I see it getting to 1/2 a penny by January is via a reverse split. That is more likely to happen than for the stock to soar to 1/2 penny by January! LOL!
And a way of lining Phil Verges' and his family and friends pockets with money, from the investors of NWMT! That's the name of the game here.
And to the poster who replied to your message, yes, no one is making us buy, but those of us who have been in NWMT in the past, have the right to post our opinions of it on here. We know the pattern well, and would like not to see others get lured in the same way we did.
I personally see NOTHING AT ALL NEW about any of this, despite the hype, that NWMT is launching on some new business plan/scheme/whatever. We've seen it all before. We all remember things like "The Greenfield Strategy" which also was supposed to bring great amounts of money to NWMT and had to do with subsidiaries and the like. We were promised huge amounts of dividends from the operations in China, Latin America, etc. None of that ever materialized. Yet I see those operations still being hyped in their blog. None of this is new to me, and I have little faith that any of those operations will all of the sudden take off and start providing major revenue and earnings to NWMT and its investors. That's the bottom line, my opinion only of course, and feel free to believe or disbelieve it. But these attempts to tells us to go away, are silly. Everyone on here should be allowed to post their opinions GOOD AND BAD. If it is only GOOD, then that's not fair!
I agree, soaking investors/releasing repetitive PR's/hyping "moving to a bigger stock exchange/unlocking untapped value of subsidiaries/dividends from subsdidiaries/new business plan" has been NWMT's game plan for the past 5 years at least! Those of us who have been watching and/or investing in this stock for 5 years or more know the pattern well. We see past all the current hype, and even the "new Blog" which is just another avenue for them to keep trotting out the same tired PR's.
I wish there was hope for new investors, but frankly, I just don't see it.
The fools at Yahoo make it extremely hard to find, and believe me, many of us have written to them to get them to fix it with no results!
But here's the link!

I also heard Glenn say that he does not believe DMRJ is selling shares at this point. I believe him, and I think he's more in a position to know then the rest of us. Also, it doesn't to me make sense they would sell now, as they have to see the value in the stock. They can sit on those shares and wait...
As to the one who says he's not here to pick fights either - calling/implying another poster's writings "ridiculous conspiracy theories" (direct quote), that to me is picking a fight! enough said! And he still keeps referring to my posts and trying to pick a fight in his latest post.
I HAVE asked those who furnished me the proof to come on here. I'm sure he won't like that though, since he makes it sound like I'm making things up out of thin air. I highly resent those accusations!
I post something and get attacked for it, he calls it "total BS" in his latest post, yet "he's not picking a fight". Give me a break! I even explained that I would prefer the person who furnished me the proof to post it himself, as I'm not sure I'm free to pass on that info. But he ignores it and stays on the attack. "But he's not picking a fight...."
You know what, he's succeded in chasing me off this board. I don't have time to waste posting and then getting attacked by someone! I'll stick to a FRIENDLY board.

"*****$100 Million Breakthrough Potential and NYSE Euronext Strategy*****PR from 01/2011 "
I could cite many many PR's over the past few years touting "NWMT has plans in the works to move to a higher stock exchange". That NYSE Euronext strategy has been touted for more than a year now, and has it materialized or does it look like it will ever materialize? And what has the stock price done in that timeframe? Does anyone honestly believe the "NYSE Euronext Strategy" will be anything more than more of the same buzzwards/hype to come out of NWMT?
That makes sense to me and seems to sum up why the idea of shorting NWMT at these prices is laugh out loud ridiculous. But I know we'll keep hearing about "impending short squeezes" in PR's or maybe on their fancy new blog!
I would have to agree... I don't know much about shorting stocks, but what's the benefit to shorting something at $0.0002? So it goes down to $0.0001? Seems to me that's a lot of work to make $0.0001 on a stock.
And those numbers were generated by an audit firm that even the SEC does not trust and has gone after. So do you even trust those numbers? I don't! Besides, tell me what other firm uses the term "profitable revenue". I always thought that sounded funny. It's revenue! Whether or not it is profitable, one has to dig deeper into the reports. And, if their profit margin is say 10%, then that would translate to 10% profit, one would think.
Anyway, I always found NWMT's use of the term "profitable revenue" rather than just "revenue" to be cause for curiosity, if not downright concern. No other company I invest in (and I invest in many companies) uses the term "profitable revenue". It appears to be a Phil Verges innovation/buzzword/catchphrase.
IMSC gets mentioned in Air Cargo World's "This Week in Brief":

Others who watch this board have proven it to me to my satisfaction. I'll leave it to them to share it on here publicly. If you don't want to believe it, it's no problem with me. I'm not here to participate in arguments or pick fights.
Merry Christmas to you too Herbie! I've been around a long time (since 2005) and mostly lurked but followed your, Clay, and sco's posts all the time and they were always right on! I'm part of the "club" of those who bought in back in 2005 when this looked like a hot stock and a solid company, and rode it all the way down... We all know from experience what the future will bring for NWMT...
Just make sure you understand who the audit firm is that generates those numbers. The last one was a mom & pop firm and also found to be dishonest by the SEC! Who would trust audited financials from a firm like that? Not me!
I've seen that problem of interpreting failed-to-deliver shares as shorting the stock before. It is a common ploy to make people think the stock is heavily shorted when it's not!
Hostile takeover of NWMT? LOL!
Who would want to? Phil Verges has 51% of the voting power.
And who would want to sit on the board of directors either?
Thanks for the good laugh this morning!
I will leave it to better minds than mine to explain it. It is a known fact someone is using multiple accounts, and working hard to keep the price down to scare people into selling.
But, there's no denying there has been selling activity, even yesterday in the light of positive news.
It will be most interesting to see what happens today. Let's be honest now, with the steady stream of PR's that have come out in the past several months, does the share price really belong at $0.60? Should it have dropped in the last few weeks in the face of positive PR's? Of course not!
Yep the EU CE Certification for the new QS-B220 benchtop detector is BIG NEWS! Look how big the European Union is! Think of all the possible places it can be used there! This is very big news indeed.
And, the fact that the EU certified it should be a wake up call to our TSA. Although, it seems with the recent announcement of progress being made with the QS-B220 in terms of work being done with the TSA, that TSA certification should be not too far in the future!
Good luck to any legitimate audit firm trying to figure out the real numbers for NWMT. My guess is, it is not going to be an easy task! It will be most interesting to see what happens IF and WHEN a legitimate audit company takes over auditing for NWMT!
It boggles my mind! What company has a telephone number that there is no answer to during normal business hours. I know you and others have reported about visiting said office and finding it sometimes locked up tight, other times a lone secretary/admin person there! Yes, that sure is the sign of a multimillion dollar operation! Also no one can find many employees on www.linkedin.com . All dead giveaways that there is something fishy going on here...
Buyer beware...
I wonder that too Clay about up at West Point - what they think of their graduate!
It is the very worst investment I ever made too. And i saw someone asking who would stay in an OTC stock for 5 years? When I invested in it, I bought in at over $1/share! I believed the PR's and thought it was going to go to $5/share! Instead it went downhill in no time flat. However, I blame ONLY MYSELF for believing the PR's for 5 years.
It was not the same "OTC stock" as it is now. So the question another person posed on here about no one seriously investing for 5 years does not apply! Five years ago (well more than that for me, but my total investment time was about 4 years(), a lot of us were suckered into this stock by Verges and his slick PR's!
Price manipulation pure and simple! However, they can't keep it up much longer, it's going to be a losing game to keep trying to keep the price down.
Today's PR is a sign that good things are coming in 2012 for IMSC! It's obvious to me at least that TSA approval is coming for the QS-B220. It's not a question of "if", it's a question of WHEN!
This is really great news! Congrats to Glenn Bolduc and his team! I think that full approval of the QS-B220 for air cargo screening is not too far away... 2012 looks very bright for IMSC!
QS-B220 Receives Confirmation of Eligibility for TSA Air Cargo Screening Qualification Testing
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/...
WILMINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - Dec 20, 2011) - Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCQB: IMSC) (PINKSHEETS: IMSC), a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security markets, today announced it has received notification of vendor eligibility in the Air Cargo Screening Qualification Test Qualification Group 2 from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for its Quantum Sniffer™ QS-B220 benchtop explosives trace detector. TSA qualification is required before any explosives detection device can be commercially sold for use in air cargo screening facilities shipping to or from U.S. airports.
In order to receive vendor eligibility status, Implant Sciences submitted a comprehensive Qualification Data Package (QDP) detailing the QS-B220's performance metrics to TSA. Preparation of the QDP included collecting and analyzing thousands of samples in real-world environments, including active certified cargo screening facilities. Future steps in completing the Air Cargo Screening Qualification Testing will involve TSA confirming the QS-B220's operating performance to prove the system meets their specifications.
"Notification of eligibility is a significant milestone for Implant Sciences. While this does not imply qualification of the QS-B220, we are confident that our system will perform to TSA's requirements and successfully complete the qualification process," stated Glenn D. Bolduc, President and CEO of Implant Sciences.
Yes, those of us who have followed the stock for a long time and been past investors (like me) have noted the splits and how the exCEO's (Phil Verges') stock is somehow resistant to splits and stays at 51% majority ownership. That was never taken to a vote by the shareholders before that special class of stock was issued, and the whole thing is totally unethical as far as I am concerned. It may be legal, but it definitely is unethical for him to have granted himself 51% of the shares/vote so that shareholders are powerless.
I keep hearing plans are afoot to change this, but it is way too little/too late as far as I'm concerned!
History has shown with NWMT, there are only VERY BRIEF uphill "blips" in the price, it is mostly down, so it is nearly impossible to "get in and get out" with a profit in any period of time, no matter how short. That's not to say it has not been done, but those who've been successful at it over the years are few and far between...
Execute that "get in/get out" strategy at your own risk... "Buyer Beware".
The NWMT forums are riddled with those who posted they bought at a certain date and expected to make a big profit, and a month later they come back and say they didn't make anything and usually lost a good percentage of their investments...
Merry Christmas to you too Clay. Glad your business is up and running. Always enjoyed all your posts on NWMT over the years! Have fun when you do get to go to Dallas. I haven't been there in many many years (well before I ever invested in NWMT) or I'd also have embarked on a journey to check out their huge headquarters/operation!
I remember that "great" Market Profile video - that was embarrassing as anything I'd ever seen! A CEO obviously flirting with those two sexy women, AND not even able to remember the name of his company! Give me a break.... Yes, this is indeed the mark of a highly successful multi-million dollar company and makes me feel like I really should be comfortable investing money in it..... I'll never forget that stupid video as long as I live, and made me definitely want to leave NWMT in the rear view mirror in terms of stocks I USED to own!
Look through the PR's the past several years, you will find THAT EXACT PHRASE OVER AND OVER! NWMT has been several times "reinventing itself to realize the untapped potential of its subsidiaries"! How many times does it have to say that? And, a lot of us were told dividends were "forthcoming shortly" from the subsidiaries.
We've heard this all before.... What makes you think this time is any different?
Someone explain why the company has used mom & pop audit firms that one of them has been even cited for doing highly illegal and unethical things involving Pegasus Wireless. That's right, so how can we even TRUST the reports that come out of NWMT when their auditors are unethical? Yeah, they are just now looking for a better audit firm? After all these years of investors telling them they did not like the fact that the audit firms were these mom & pop auditors who had been investigated by the SEC and found conducting fraudulent audits? Wow, all I can say is WHAT TOOK NWMT SO LONG????
