Ok I guess that means that Im full of sh-t, since Im the one who made the statement about my 3.5 kW generator putting out 10,000 watts, it was 10,399 watts to be exact and since Im the only one on this board that no longer has a secret identity to hide behind how about you stop by and tell me face to face Just Saying!
Ok I can’t sit on my hands anymore, I haven’t posted in a while because every time I did it seemed to turn into a pissing contest with someone on the board that wanted to argue the facts, but I can’t just read and ignore the board any longer.
Seems we have lots of posters asking for facts and I guess I’m the one that has the info everyone’s screaming for.
All info I have is from electronic data equipment installed in my home by Gerry Brock and there is no guess work or human era in these numbers, it is recorded and saved every second of every day
In the month of December 2010 My Windtamer has made as stated 220 KWH which for those who don’t understand that is equal to ten 100 watt light bulbs on continuously for 220 hrs. The average wind speed in December was 10.8 mph. I had 2 days where it produced 20+ KWH, 4days at 15+KWH, 3days at 10+ KWH and 3 Days it made 0 or less than 1KWH and still hade an average of 7.967 KWH per Day, I say Brock is heading in the right direction IMO.
And a finally thought, I have seen with my own two eyes my 3500 watt generator in 30+ Mph winds produce 10,000 + watts and yes it’s documented!
Apologies for my silence but as I said earlier I don’t want to get into a daily pissing match, I’m sure Gerry will in due time get all info out to the public.
One more thing as of 10pm this evening I am up to 112 KWH this month so far. GO WIND GODS!!!!
As Per Moe!!

I personaly meet people every day that live in Livingston county and Rochester area and they haven't seen or heard of windtamer, with that said every person I speak to finds Tamer very interesting and want more info!!!!
IMO they should advertise while also joining forces with a financial intuition and offer multi year low interest financing , Advertise it like this, 30% tax savings from Federal Gov't on cost of install plus every dollar in power the tamer makes is money you would have spent on you electric bill anyway, so you could offset most if not all your payment by $$$$ saved on your electric bill and tax savings, that should sell a million units alone!! IMO
Waki-
Yep I agree! you can't put um back so easy after you cut them down, also a lot of towns/villages etc have strict guide lines to what and how many trees you can cut down, and sometimes also require a permit especially on commercial properties. And this Collage site in Scraton PA we are referring to is obviously still in early construction stage. I saw a lot of equipment on site as I drove by.
That was the Marywood Collage sports complex install you saw, I was by there 2 weeks ago and have to agree that it needs to be opened up a bit! You can only see it when traveling north/west bound. I Didn't see it on my way down to NYC. They did a bunch of tree removal at the Perry/ Warsaw airport install after it was up and running, My best guess is, give them some time
Sounds like a brite man !!! GO WIND GODS!!!
I disagree He's an idiot IMO
I'm not thrilled by any means just thought I would pass the info on, found it when on Carousel Center web page
Were not the only one installed!!!
Syracuse, NY – PowAIR Sail, a Syracuse manufacturer specializing in vertical wind
turbines announced today that they have installed three vertical wind turbines onto
the roof of Carousel Center/Destiny USA. PowAIR Sail Inc., specializes in roof
mounted vertical wind turbines for residential and commercial applications. The
renewable energy project is part of Destiny USA’s commitment to sustainable design
and development and made possible through a federal grant authorized by Congress and
administered through the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
PowAIR Sail’s President and CEO, Raymond Davis commented, "Destiny USA’s
installation of the first powAIR Sail units and the first roof mounted wind turbines in
Syracuse shows their commitment to being green. They are highlighting this region’s
potential to be a leader in clean technology development and manufacturing by
supporting our local company. These turbines will have great visibility for Syracuse
residents and visitors alike."
PowAIR Sail, in partnership with SUNY ESF will monitor the units at Destiny USA and
conduct advanced testing in order to receive the American Wind Energy Association
(AWEA) Small Wind Certification. SUNY ESF will engage students interested in wind
technologies to monitor the wind speed and direction simultaneously with the turbines
output for third party certification of PowAIR Sail's wind turbine annual power curve.
The performance goal is 10kW per unit.
The PowAIR Sail product concept was incubated locally with the support of the Syracuse
Tech Garden’s Clean Tech Center. The result of this integral partnership is a patent
pending wind turbine that begins producing energy in winds as low as 3 mph and has
the ability to harness turbulent winds that frequent rooftops. The units are only 8' x
8' each, weigh only 400 lbs and will sit on ballast mounts 10' and 15' above the roof.
PowAIR Sail is utilizing local manufacturers for their components, all within 20 miles
of Syracuse. “As PowAIR Sail advances on its path to commercialization, this kind of
beta testing is an important next step,” said Linda Hartsock, executive director of The
Clean Tech Center. “The company is very focused on developing strategic partnerships
to demonstrate and validate their technology...This is a good example of matching local
academic resources and talented local entrepreneurs.”
“PowAIR Sail wind turbines are one of our leading examples of the innovation that
is happening right here in Central New York. With their innovative technology just
starting to be put into use, we have the potential to help a small business create jobs and
grow into a bigger business, while protecting our resources and pushing towards energy
independence” commented Congressman Dan Maffei.
Things are looking up!! Check Tamer site for more info!!WindTamer Corporation completes installation of rooftop-mounted wind turbines at Carousel Center in Syracuse, NY
I Remember that article a year or so in the local paper that compared Brock to Edison and Ford, It Said " He didn't invent the wheel he just made it better" !!
IMO if we stopped and put every idea on the shelf after it failed, and left it at that, we would still be reading by candle light, cooking with wood and riding a horse to work JMO GO WIND GODS!!!
I'm not sure where most of the people on this board get there info from, and I guess we are all entitled to our opinion!! "and to the extent he interferes with the team or distracts potential customers from WT, he is simply showcasing his ego and wounded pride, and shooting himself in the foot in the process" But I just wonder how many of you have seen a windtamer at work? I have personally witnessed the windtamer working with both styles of blades, I've seen about 6 different blade designs along with the new GB design and while I was truly impressed with some of the old style blades IMO they cant hold a candle to the new GB design, just hope the tamer boys now in charge take Brock seriously These new blades work unbelievable, and defiantly blow the previous blades out of the water.
and this is a statement from an eye witness!!!!

Gerald E. Brock, Founder and Inventor of the WindTamer Turbine Technology, Announces Exceeding the Theoretical Betz Limit of .593 in a DAWT -- Diffuser Augmented Wind Turbine With an Eight Foot Swept Area
LIVONIA, NY--(Marketwire - August 11, 2010) - Brock Renewable Energy Research & Development Corporation is a company that specializes in Rotor Blade Airfoil Design, Engineering and Implementation for out of the box solutions.
Invited to a residence located in Livonia, NY, by an owner of a WindTamer Unit with an eight foot swept area, the owner requested that Mr. Brock try his new proprietary intellectual property airfoils in his WindTamer. He is very excited to announce that the Theoretical Betz Limit of .593 or 59% was exceeded consistently in the power out mode of the inverter -- this is the electrical power that is sent to the electrical grid. Mr. Brock states that after 600 hours of design and engineering he has created an Airfoil with over 2000 computational points of configuration that address a more efficient method to capture the winds kinetic energy exceeding the theoretical Betz Limit without question in the 8.0gt WindTamer Unit. Mr. Brock also states that his proprietary airfoil is design specific to the swept area of a wind turbine and the capacity of the intended generator (POWER = TORQUE X RPM). Mr. Brock's Proprietary Airfoil Intellectual Property will be Patent Protected. Mr. Brock states that there are probably a handful of people in the world that could have achieved this milestone, he knows of only one that did!

Nice post winded I don't think it could have been said any better, A lot of things being said on this board, most are opinions that some may tend to believe are facts, Example- still cant find anywhere that owners have been compensated for there faulty tamers. Yet it has been stated several times, and I know for a fact that they haven't.
Moe where did u get your info on compansation to owners, are you an owner or is this hear say??
Color has been changed to blue on all tamers,I asked a while back and was told that blue was a more apealing color. And was recomended by the folks who came up with the new tamer logo about 6 months ago.
If what was mentioned on earler post about news 8 interview the person in the interview was Mark Mathews (SALES) not CEO Bill Schmitz.
I drove past Warsaw Airport and noticed work going on there again the original green 3.5 tammer was on the ground replaced by a new what looked to be 3.5 blue one and also spotted the portable unit on site. Looks like some testing going on!! maybe???
Windtamer on news 8 CBS rocheser at 600 pm
Im not sure Ive watched the video 6 times and I still dont understand why a sell isnt listed as a sell and a buy a buy, its the SEC's way of keeping us confused.
I believe its because you didnt pay the ask price, go to the trade board and click on the tutorial video link, may help you understand a bit better.
I have to agree with the Battery storage bashing, IMO there is very little on the positive side of battery storage. the only plus that I can see with a tamer residential install with Batteries is, you would not have down time during a utilities outage ( Tamer must be isolated from grid during grid outage) when the inverter senses no grid voltage it shuts down automatically. The cost of a small battery storage system is 10k and up, figure in maintenance and battery life it would be money better spent to install an emergency generator system.
IMO net metering is definitely the way to go, you make to much it goes back to grid and then when you need it you use your grid credit. And this system is available at no cost to you. Net meter is supplied by utility company.
It would take years to get your investment back with batteries, and by then you would have to replace the batteries. GO WING GODS!!!
I dont think they need desks and chairs for an install
I quess its not required by the SEC to anounce your moving??This type of stuff doesnt happen in an afternoon this must have been planned and kept on the QT for a reason IMO
Oh boy Somthings up in Geneseo tonite, just got a call from a friend and she said there are 3 large moving vans at Windtamer headquarters and it looked like the were moving out!!! WTF is going on?
Waki
I am told that it is in the works there has been no resistor installed as of yet, IMO this will correct the high wind voltage problem
LOL I believe there is a resistance coil that will suppress any over voltage condition,IMO this will correct any short term high voltage condition.Lets hope!!
How did that happen DITTO, I WAS TRYING TO COMMENT ON ANONYMOUS POST ABOUT INVERTERS-Good job on your investigating inverters, but this is the inverter Tamer is using

Spot on ydnjs, IMO this will be the correct answer in the end, along maybe with a gennerator made specialy for TAMER
Welcome aboard DR V!! lets show the wind power world what this Tamer is made of! very good news IMO
500kw in 3 months but as stated in my post, the unit has been shut down in high wind conditions
Winded Couldn't of said it better myself, at this point I'm going to break my silence, in danger of revealing my identity!
In the 3 1/2 months I have had my 3.5 unit hooked up, I have seen on 3 separate occasion my unit produce 20+ kW in a 12 hr period. It can easily make 1.5 on a mildly windy day and does it often, yes there have been a few glitches since the install but I am only aware of the inverter not being able to handle high wind conditions because of a high voltage problem (good problem IMO) causing the inverter to burn up if left on. This is why I have to power down unit when it gets windy (35+mph) Other than that I am unaware of any bearing problem or the unit not living up to spec's. On the windy days since its install I have been very happy with its performance After the inverter problem is solved I don't see any problem with unit making lots of energy!
I have seen it working in 20+mph winds making 4200+ watts without a glitch.(very exciting) So with all that said in the 3 months since my install and numerous times having to be shut down because of high wind, I have made just over 500 kW and truly believe that WINDTAMER will correct inverter problem, and if mother nature supplies the wind! I will be more then Happy for a very long time. I for one can't wait to see what this baby will do in a 40+mph wind I expect it to be mind boggling.
What's with this bearing situation first I'm hearing of it, is it a fact?
i receive a charge on my credit account each month for $9.99 and the name of the charge is ADVFN.COM PLC 02085911125 8096 is this Ihubs charge? Thanks Don L
Im with ya 46er !!! Im sitting tight and in it for the long term Im in my forties and I can wait a few more for retirement.
IMO with a bit of time and what I believe to be a promising product, in time I'll buy that lake where Waki spends his summers and rename it LAKE MANHATTAN
IMO- I really think we have a great product here but it concerns me how the $$$ is being spent especially on the executive payroll, My concern is to many Chiefs not enough Indians. We only hear about new management hires, haven't heard of any engineers or manufacturing employment, No R&D and manufacturing = no company sooner then later. Hoping this last press release is the beginning of great things to come.
IN WIND GODS I TRUST Lildog
