Wow... this has gotten beat down lately. Anyone have reasons why or is it just time to by BioTime on sale?
Back in at 4.498 with commissions included. I got my free shares back cheaper, I can't complain.
Thinking about getting back in soon. I sold my free shares around $5 missing the $6's & $7's but I was happy with the gains from my lowest buy at .35
I am looking to get in just under $4
Just got into 200 @ 17.91
Bought back in today. Ready to flip it again.
Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown Concludes Visit to Implant Sciences
I think this is big. Glad to own this one.
Thanks for sharing that info, but FIO is an active symbol right now. iShares FTSE NAREIT Ind/Off Capp (ETF) (Public, NYSE:FIO)
Lets try to stay on top of Fusion IO's progress. This is interesting. I am still looking to get back into OCZ. Just being cautious with it right now, I dont want to give back what OCZ has made me.
8.00 seems like a critical level.
OCZ needs to release a statement to clear this up. Waiting to see if it is just a dead cat bounce at this point.
WOW... crazy. Where will the bottom be now? Its been tough not being in, but this seems pretty serious. I will re-enter when the smoke clears.
Selloff on 3x average daily volume... looking to re-enter a little lower.
I'm back in, things just seem to promising to not be invested. Plus the daily chart looks ready to head higher once we pass through .585
Thanks for the info/help everyone... I will be putting in the application soon.
Just reposting my earlier post with the first reply I got. Anyone else that can share some advise for a new options trader, please do so.
A question about filling out my Scottrade options application.
On a section titled: INVESTMENT OBJECTIVES AND TRADING STRATEGIES I must request an approval level appropriate to my risk tolernce and investment objectives.
"Level 1" APPROVAL LEVEL has a "Income" TRADING/INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE with "Covered Calls" listed as the OPTIONS STRATEGIES.
"Level 2" APPROVAL LEVEL has a "Growth & Income" TRADING/INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE with "Level 1 + Long Purchases" as the OPTIONS STRATEGIES.
Can someone please explain and advise me on how they differ as well as the risks involved.
They basically ask you to sign your rights away on these agreements, it has me second guessing options right now but I know the paperwork is always overwhelming compared to when I will look back after I am on my way trading options and I will be thinking that it wasn't such a big deal. Thanks in advance
reply #1:
You want at least level 2 so you can buy options. If those are the only two levels you are allowed, you are getting shafted,IMO. Find a broker that will give you level3 or higher. Level 3 gives you the ability to sell options against the options you buy.
Thinkorswim gives all 5 levels of option trading authority to everyone, except for IRA's where you cant sell naked calls.

Nice, congrats! Make that $
Good luck brother, make that $... I am waiting for a pullback that might not happen!
I got out at 8.31 a share yesterday. I cashed out my entire portfolio because it is at an all-time high and I had a house full of people over and wasn't concentrating so I just locked in all my profits so I could relax. Of course now it runs. But we will be able to get back in and continue to milk this cash cow. I cannot believe more ihubbers aren't following this one.
I am in it for the skrilla, so lets start the move higher. The bid/ask tightened up so thats a start.
We continue to expend funds to further the development of new products in the areas of explosives detection, as well as to prepare for certain government laboratory acceptance testing.
We are in the process of negotiating an amendment to our credit facility with DMRJ Group to extend the maturity of all of our indebtedness from March 31, 2011 to September 30, 2011. On March 30, DMRJ agreed to extend the maturity of our debt until April 7, and increased our credit line, while we continue our negotiations.
"We are delighted with the performance of our engineering staff regarding the development of products the Company will submit to the Transportation Security Administration for testing in the ensuing months. We look forward to working with TSA on finding solutions that enable the most effective products in the defense from terrorist actions."
These things are sounding good to me, I am glad to own this one :)
What does "This is a Margie Chassman Company" mean? Who is she?
I know, this has me cautious. I almost jumped in just under 30 but I dont feel like getting caught in an overpriced IPO like I did in Blackstone Group a couple years ago. But it looks like I would be making loot already... these chinese stocks run so it will be interesting to watch/participate. I will post if and where I get in.
Already $33
It opened around 27 bucks?
I know, I know... but if even one more person buys tomorrow because they like the chart setup, I would be happy I did it. If someone is looking at charts tonight, it could help and thats all I wanted out of it. Plus the .50 support holds another day :)
I AM PROUD TO SAY I HAVE GIVEN MY FIRST DAILY CHART PAINTJOB! I bought 1000 at the close @ .53 to change the chart from an ugly red .46 close into a nice green reversal chart day ending positive @ .53 after bouncing off of the 200 day moving average support of .45, I almost missed it to... 3:59pm snuck up on me!
It seems to be fighting back well... hang in there. To sell now would be painful when it heads higher... It would actually be a double whammy if you sell and it goes up. Everytime an investor cant take the pain of an investment going down and they sell, its at that point it seems to rebound, you then feel like they were just waiting for you to give up on it! Been there brother, hang in there man, I cant promise anything but it bounced off the 200 day MA and it looks good to me. If the .45 breaks down thats another story but we will be good to go soon IMO.
Sold at the open @ 8.36 and bought back in @ 7.95. Thanks OCZ! THAT LITTLE FLIP JUST PAID FOR MY OCZ 80 PLUS GOLD POWER SUPPLY AND 16GB OF RAM... NICE
Yeah I held onto it, although I would have been wiser to sell at the open... obviously, but I thought it would bounce off 34 then rise to 35. I was wrong and I paid for it by losing some paper gains. Lets see what Monday brings.
Just bought ORCL today as an earnings play and it looks like it is making me some overnight cash. Do I sell it tomorrow or is there more to be made in this one? Anyone here?
Wow 1.84's are nice. Im just glad to be in finally after finding it and watching it go up from $6 to $9+. In now and making $ already... much more dinero to be made on OCZ... lets retest that 52 week high!
Every person I know builds their computers buying every part from NewEgg.com, it should be huge.
It was interesting how the guy from the Google board "mysteriously" got cut off/disconnected when asking about the share count.
He talked about a reverse split only to uplist to higher exchange (Rockys theory) & combine it with positive results or a partnership. He also stated the share price is only thing holding the company off a higher exchange.
Will only pursue partnerships that share the costs/risks and keep the "upside" for ACTC.
He stresses that they are not rushing into anything in regards to partnerships, trials and CEO selection etc.
