Well, I will say yes this is my first time on Investors Hub. Great web site. I am not a basher I'm an investor who doesn't play around with pinks. You would know who I am if I told you, but I'm not going to do that YET.....
I do believe that this could all be false information and I'm sure it can be proved with a plant tour. As I had said, I have been around for a long time in the bio world and these claims just don't add up.
The Algae system talked about here is a waste of effort and money. There is NO real way to extract the oil efficiently enough with today's current technology. It's too costly and they will have to sell there bio for over 6.00 a gallon.
DO YOUR HOME WORK ON ALGAE....
Open ponds or closed systems are not proven ways to produce Algae, so the fact they bought land for an algae pond doesn't impress me. This project would take millions and millions of dollars and years and years and I don't think this company has it.
The 600 gallon a day system on there web site cannot be put in a home garage unless you are looking to blow your self up. No methanol recovery, and storage of over 20 gallons of methanol in a residential area is ILLEGAL....Check your national fire code. To do 600 gallons a day you would need about 120 gallons of methanol. A class 1B liquid I believe. Flammable......Caustic for catalyst which is a corrosive water reactive dry chemical. Hmmmm, I wounder what your fire marshal will say. Hope you have good insurance. Oh wait insurance wont cover a fire caused by illegally kept and stored chemicals. Again I hope this wasn't info given to you by Extreme. They would be liable I'm sure.
Now I did inquire about this so called award winning machine a few weeks ago. Extreme doesn't even sell it. If so why aren't they promoting it? I checked the SEMA awards for 08 and I see they did win something. A best new product award, along with 100 or so others who won the same thing. Wow that's great..
WELL WHERE IS THIS MAGICAL MACHINE?????
I do agree there are many ways to produce biodiesel, but batch settling as they do is OLD school and is very time consuming. Pre-treatment, well there are only two ways to do it, a chemical treatment filter bed or using acid. From the video, they are using acid and settling out the by-product. 12 hours minimum and the tanks they showed were not 4000 gallon treatment tanks.
Again doesn't add up.
Again I am not a basher I am just pointing out the facts. I hate when people use a good thing to try and scam others. It ruins the reputation of the good guys.
I am not a disgruntled X employee or anything like it. I just want people to know the truth.
