Look at the volume...nobody' selling. Ha! Poor momomomomo....
Why would it not?
Oh, yeah...it'll be a real show. Fireworks and dancing girls...it's gonna be fun -- but it already is.
Block, that IS chump change compared to what we'll see in a week or two...we'll look back in amazement.
No worries, be happy.
Here's the proof...people are kidding themselves if they think the volume is flippers...here are the sho numbers folks from the past few days.
RegSho from today:
short volume volume
20110121|MDMN|7016184|18091457|O
7 million shares shorted on Friday.
Yesterday:
20110120|MDMN|14210793|35254886|O
14 million (panic selling - the vortex) on Thursday.
Wednesday:
20110119|MDMN|10353910|24710269|O
10 million on Wed...
Everybody will do well to wake up and smell the shorts...this is a serious attack.
I happen to think it's not only very easy to say, it's already written. We're going up, way way up, from here, in the near future, and it's all about the assets. All the other flucuations are a meaningless sideshow to the assets, and as many have pointed out with details and on-the-ground verification, those assets aren't a question mark. It's a done deal. The uncertainties have all been put to bed. We're in a new era here.
Yes!
BJ - great post - and very nicely said. Isn't it interesting that a large group of us are all seeing the very same thing and drawing the very same conclusions...
Fat city!
Deal, every word that you type is in error. Sit back and learn something about international finance. This is not a deposit window at your local bank...
Bass, we're lookin' out the same window. I just laughed...took the words right off my fingertips.
L8ter
Consider this, folks. The announcement will be formal in a few days time, at the latest...and by this time next week we'll probably be somewhere in the .30s, or higher.
The JVA signals a LOT of things, chief among them -- the serious money will step in and this play will stop being a carnival side show.
Until then, ignore it. The shorts have hung themselves. There's no way they can stop this, and there's no way they can cover a billion shares. They're toast, done, broken, krispy critters, and when push comes to shove they'll knife each other in the back to get off the ship...
In the meantime...chill and smile with the knowledge that our day is right around the corner and there's nothing they can do to stop it.
Couldn't agree more, ziott. People wanted to get make a million $ in two weeks. They should have tempered their appetites and looked out a bit and not worried about the day to day weather. The real gains are going to be in holding onto this stock for the next few years...we will pass $5 and then $10, and you and I will still be here, but most will be long gone.
Whatever. If you don't sell you don't loose a dime...you can only lose by selling a stock like this one, and big, very big days are ahead of us. The main show has not even begun. I hope people learn something about themselves and this game and get a little sobered up to the time-line realities of investments rather than the nano-second emotional swings of the get-rich-quick artists.
Best to all who hang tough and don't feed the ninnies...
We all do, and it is what it is...but look on the bright side -- the pps has held up pretty darn well all things considered, you're gonna be rich when this is all over, and there's never any gain without a measure of pain and frustration to get you there. I see us back even this morning and maybe even green today, and with a little luck we'll hear the trumpet before the close on Friday. Personally, I'd like to see the JVA hit the wires at about two p.m. on Friday...and watch all hell break loose into the close, and then gap up a dime on Monday morning.
Once again, can I see a show of hands of all the people who plan to sell immediately after the JVA?
Can you say S-T-A-M-P-E-E-D.
What market? This isn't a market...this is a gambling hall. The 'market' is doing what it's doing because the market is about to lose a fortune on this stock with the JVA is formally announced and they're doing everything in their power to cover their butts...and the weak hands and flippers are
giving them the opportunity...it's very simple. This isn't a market that reflects anything about the
company or the mountain, it's a very loosely confederated group of gamblers squeezing pennies
out of moment to moment waves of fear and optimism...very simple.
That's all about to change. Relax, take a valium, load up at this level if you wish, and ignore the little tempest. Yes, they damn well should have known about the HS issues on a money transfer of that size, but it is what it is, as Rick says...and it will pass and soon be long forgotten when we're flying past .30 at a penny a minute...believe me, I've been there, and all the pain is fast forgotten.
Absolutely fantastic post, Rick...thanks so much for taking the time and applying your insights and knowledge to divining such an important summary of where we are and what is reasonable to expect in coming days. Couldn't be more in agreement.
deal, that's an absurd prediction...after all we've been through you think the longs are going to abandon this deal over a glitsch in the timing of transfers. Dream on.
Triple H, it doesn't matter whether they announce in the morning or not -- let the MM's do what they
want until that moment. THEN, WE control the PPS, not them...and they already know they're in a very deep hole. No worries.
Mariner, I'm counting on it.
Can I please see a show of hands from those who plan to sell immediately after the JVA is formally announced to the world?
What's amazing to me arpj is how that they can get away with these shennanigans out in the open...no worries. They'll get theirs...it's called Karma.
Homeland Security.
What is frustrating for the longs is that we are all subjected to nefarious whims and foibles of the flippers and parasites. That will soon be a thing of the past. In my dreams the squeeze that is coming will take out a couple of the market makers (lets start with NITE), create a storm of adverse pr on the street, sober up a few of the others, and maybe even bring attention to the underlying corruption in this market. It's well documented, but because the street treats this sector like it's private atm machine, and because they have walled it off from regulations, the thievery persists, year after year, and we are virtually powerless to stop it. The only thing that will possibly turn it around is blood on the tracks when one or more of them finally choke on their own corrupt practices and get caught short handed.
That will be a lovely day. In the meantime, there is positively no doubt that the sand has about run out of the glass and MDMN is going to have a real run at the roses...
AS PREDICTED!
Indeed! Mark this one. A month from now we could easily be over a buck -- so think about that vis a vis this little crosswind and think about choices and where you want to be when we soar over that mark...
One more thing - can any of us remember back a few weeks when hitting .13 was shooting the moon?
Well, get ready for another moon shot...courtesy of a billion shorts. If you wanna miss that ride, it's your choice.
Pullback? I doubt it...we'll see some kind of a shake, no doubt, but pullback? I'd be VERY surprised.
That's been my experience, too...many times. What we're seeing here is a changing of the guard from gamblers to investors...there's a certain amount of madness that goes along with that transfer...no worries. Absolutely NO WORRIES...gamblers, please sell and move along so the investors can take your seats.
TR and Rick, sailing to Drake Bay on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica this morning...and checked in to see what's going on. Just laughed when I read someone post that it takes balzz to hang in here. It takes balzz NOT to be in here...no risk, no gain, and if you find you're too uncomfortable with that calculus, this is probably not the place for you.
Love what I'm seeing...
I'm not turning on L2, no matter...big blocks starting to move here...can we see .18 by the close? Can you just imagine what shorty's thinkin right about now?
That's the way I read it Rick, which is a good portent. Those who are in are in, and when the real run begins it's going to be tough sledding for mm's desperate for shares. Can you say 'blood on the tracks"? And what's nice about that it it'll be their blood for a change, not ours. Imagine such a thing!
Personally, I don't think there's enough left to shake for all of them to go along with it...we shall see.
SVA, I've been doing promotional work for Star Clippers, out of Monaco, since 1993...great little company, tallest ships in the world, highest repeat rate in the industry. Maybe a hundred or so passengers, incredible food and out-of-the-way ports of call. Did the Society Islands in Tahiti last year...if you have never been you simply must go. It's everything you ever imagined.
Our sailboat is moored in the islands of B.C...we sail out of there in the summers.
No worries......
Triple H, you get the brass ring today! Nice call...volume and pps suddenly look like a moon shot. The mm's had pretty much shaken out all the loose fruit and the volume was going NOWHERE...let's see where this takes us.
Thanks, mon, I know you're right about that. Nooooooooooo worries here. We shall be dancing under the tropical moon with big smiles on our faces...
TR, I'm going to be sailing off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica all next week, so you're gonna need to watch my back through all the hub-bub. At first glance it seems like lousy timing on my part, but on second glance it's perfect. I get to come back to a big surprise.
Alan, we KNOW that the deal is done. We're just waiting for the mechanics of the deal to work through the settlement process so we can get past the non-disclosure agreement to the JV.
Not a problem. The DEAL is DONE. People need to read the letter to shareholders and understand what that language is saying. The deal is done.
Trader, if there's one thing people here need to get through that frontal lobe and deep into the amigdala is that "it hasn't even started yet." I'm amazed at all the handwringing. If you find that you're really uncomfortable folks, you might want to take your profits now and give your anxiety a
rest...this isn't for everybody, and it's not a black mark on your soul if you don't have the temperment for it. Everybody has a different threshold for uncertainty...
Absolutely, tradin' -- I feel like I'm standing at the two dollar poker table with a bunch of teenagers. The market makers are so deeply screwed on this play with their short position that any break in the buying action is going to bring a deep shake. People, every penny that this stock goes up for each million shares shorted is $10,000 out of the mm's pockets...so think about it. You're gonna sell them your shares to get them out of that jam and miss out on the best run of your life?
And Indy, that 'fillin' the gap' song is meaningless in pinks. I can't begin to tell you how many gaps I've seen that were never filled. That's a general rule for standard stocks, not pinks. None of those rules apply here because the market doesn't apply...the only law here is the mm's and the longs and their battle with the shorts. That's it. All the other indicators are just a lot of hoooey.
That said, this is holding up very nicely IMO. 13MM shares and we're down less than 2 cents. We'll probably bounce back up when some adults return to the table.
Hey there Geo, my vanguard page shows a 1250% increase over the low of last year...ditto ditto ditto.
Hey there Rod, with ya all the way on that, but we know the score and as much as I'd like to see that happen, it probably won't.
But the nice thing bout mdmn is it isnt gonna matter in the long run. Many folks here will shake out and take profits somewhere between .75 and 1.50. Not me. I'm waiting for that next group of investors who buy in at those levels with an eye to going north. I'm going north with them...that's where the real $ is going to be made in this play...not the peanuts that will fly around in the short term.
So it really doesn't matter, does it...just day to day weather which has nothing to do with where we're headed.
