Ive been with this since the pink sheet days. What a total disgrace and show of greed against those of us who stuck it out for the long haul. I have no words.
You are correct. Rocky knew his stuff and I miss his input.
What it will take is a expeditious move to NASDAQ to secure solid funding through institutional investments. Other than that it will take a minor miracle to make it another year. BUT, it has been much worse for this company yet they find a way to stay alive.
Very good post! Ive been with this since pink sheet days and I am holding all the way...and have brought others in.
Wow! Havent seen that kind of one day volume in a couple of years! Wish I had the $ to buy more.
I know in the grand scheme of things my 25k shares isnt much but Ive been in since the pink sheet days and Im not going away. :) Will continue to add as I can. The best is ahead!
He owns a LOT more than ten million shares. Some is probably for taxes and other for his own personal uses. Im not concerned by this. Anyone who has been around for awhile know they do this every year around tax time.
Rabin is hoping(at least I hope he is)that a R/S wont be necessary once the science proves itself.
I believe. Thats why Ive been buying since the company was a pink sheet stock...and will continue to do so.
I hope its just a 1/20 split. 1/70 would almost wipe out my shares.
Im not only holding, but will continue to buy. Been long since the .pk days.
I hope the RS..when it happens..is only 20-1. In any case I will buy more as finances allow. Does anyone know how the vote went? Im assuming the RS was approved at the shareholders meeting.
The WORST thing that could happen for current shareholders would be to suppress the price to pay off lawsuits. That would mean having to authorize MORE shares to pay off debts. I dont see that happening under any circumstances.
200000! wow! I wish I that kind of scratch laying around and I would do the same. I'll have to be happy with my 20000.
I dont necessarily agree that its a slow bleed. The fact is whether any of us like it or not a RS is needed if we EVER want to see a good spike in the PPS. That and the fact that more good PR probably isnt far off and may be timed with a listing on NASDAQ.
Just voted by proxy. I sure hope that the reverse split is only 1-20 or I will get murdered on share count. It will already put me under 500 at 1-20. But Im long and strong.
If this does what we think it will do he will be able to BUY the Bahamas. ;)
Everyone here knows that site but thanks for sharing anyway and welcome aboard!
"huge chunk of your portfolio"....haha...ACTC IS my portfolio!! :)
I had never messed with the stock market before this. I was looking around at penny stocks to start with just to sort of learn the ropes. I had read a little on stem cells before and invested in a few companies...incl. ACT when it was a pinksheet and well under a penny/share. The others didnt survive...this sucker survived and is leading the charge!!! Im slowly adding to my share count. I see a reverse split as pretty much inevitable at this point so Im loading up as much as I can. So should everyone else. I remember back in the day when Louisa would say "beg, borrow and steal to get money to buy shares". She knew what she was talking about turns out.
Ive studied ACTC extensively over the years and know its processes are safe to the embryo. Im long until the end. I dont worry about day to day swings of the price.
..and it will remain in that range most likely until we get some initial results from the ongoing trial(s). Although it likely wont make any huge moves up until it comes closer to the end(2013)and there's a better feel for how the test subjects are responding. I personally like it in this range right now....lets me afford to add more to my total shares. You should look at it this way also.
Actually ACT was listed on the pinksheets for a bit a few years ago. I bought a boatload when it was subpenny.
My thoughts exactly. Well stated Spetty. Ive learned not to give much thought about the day to day swings in the pps because for the time being its pretty much irrelevant. The only thing that matters is when the initial results are made public, then the chickens will start to come home to roost.
If I owned 7% I wouldnt sell one share either knowing the potential of the company.
Well, Im certainly no expert on stocks but to me its almost like comparing apples to oranges as the stock you used as an example traded on one of the big boards. Our stock has risen from the dead basically. Someone can correct me but Im not even sure if common investors can even purchase preferred ACT stock and just from what Ive gathered over the years, I dont think that the ACT board of directors wants to alienate those who have stuck it out..even the common stock investors like us...so I just dont see them "switching" to the preferred stock listing in the foreseeable future or ever. Just my opinion.
My personal opinion is that it wont move much below or above where its been the past several weeks...Id be surprised if it dropped to .15 as I believe the days of pump and dump with this are over...except for a few cases people are buying and holding to see where it goes when the trials commence.
Im holding 15000 since 2008. Not as much as most of you but I got what I could afford. It will pay off for all of us eventually, thanks to Bill Caldwell.
My best advice is to go back and start reading some of the older posts relating to company finances. In short the company is solid for the long term and has paid off all of its debts. You were smart to buy in while the price per share is almost robbery.
Yep watch the stock Tuesday when we get official PR on the blastomere patent.
Im sure this isnt an ACT trial. We havent even started the IRB process yet as far as I can tell.
Bravo! What we like to hear! Keep up the great work!
Hopefully in the next three years we will be listed on the NASDAQ and we will all be reaping the rewards for years of patience.
Yeah I saw that. Just wish that people writing these articles would include the miniscule part(heh)about the BLASTOMERE patent!

Not going to be a large drop in pps. This is about as far down as it will go probably. Too much upside with this stock for it to slide back to single pennies.
Its not really a big problem. Its a known fact that Dr. Lanza owns millions of shares of this stock. I see it as nothing more than him wanting/needing some extra money for somthing. Him selling a couple million isnt/shouldnt be a red flag to anyone. A few million x .20 a share gets you some nice change, even after taxes on it. Ive been a long in this stock for years and Im not the least bit concerned by it.
Should have been there when it was barely a blip on the pinks. Thats when I took a leap of faith. Of course hindsight is 20/20 but I sure wish I would have bought more then.
Hopefully it doesnt. I know what Im gonna be doing with my Christmas bonus next week.
We havent cleared trials. Just received clearance to START phase 1 and phase 2 trials.
Some good results from the Geron trials will also do us a world of good too. Of course we all hope we get FDA approval before January(when the initial results of the Geron trial are known) but if not then it should come shortly afterwards if the news is good. Geron will help ACTC in any case.
Good stem cell story....http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/11/11/eveningnews/main7046248.shtml
