it's out there, easy to find just gotta look
TAIPEI --Taiwanese handset maker HTC Corp. (2498.TW) scored a victory against Nokia Corp. (NOK) Tuesday after a German district court dismissed a complaint by the Finnish company that HTC had infringed on one of its patents.
HTC said Wednesday that it believes Nokia's patent is invalid and it will continue with the invalidity actions pending before the German Federal Patents Court and the English Patents Court. The patent involved in the case, the latest parry in a spate of legal battles between the smartphone rivals, was for a communication network terminal for accessing the Internet.
"We remain confident that [ Nokia's patent portfolio] poses little threat to HTC," HTC said in a statement.
Nokia said it disagrees with the decision and is considering its options. It added that it has lawsuits against HTC pending on 30 other patents in Germany , the U.S. and the U.K.
On Monday, Nokia was able to block HTC's supply of microphone parts for its new flagship smartphone through a temporary injunction by an Amsterdam district court against supplier STMicroelectronics N.V.

I think the sell off is over done unless there is something going on we dont know about. I picked up a few call options to play with.

One day before their "Big" announcment and the stock is flat ... Bye Bye Elop.
Curious id Apple will move the market after earnings.. Sold my %7 UVXY puts earlier and took a small call position on.
Hope you are correct - I dont think they would have gotten the funding if they didnt have a good plan.
I have call options 60 days out, hope they can resolve it before they expire.
My only concern is the delisting, that would be bad. Get past that and it's a solid play.
I just hope they can either get their house in order OR sell the company to those who can.
What happened to your breakout alert?
That would be nice ..
Look again .. You need to understand how the TVIX trades - built in decay and designed to go to $0.00 or a R/S
Nokia Corp. (NOK) will announce a new product on Wednesday, according to the conversations.nokia.com website on Monday.
It comes less than a week after the company said a slide in demand for its basic phones dented first-quarter revenue.
A Nokia mobile-phone division executive will deliver the news, the short website post said. Nokia declined more information when contacted by The Wall Street Journal .
First-quarter mobile-phone shipments fell 21% to 55.8 million units from 70.8 million a year earlier, Nokia said on Thursday. Increased competition from Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd (005930.SE) and low-end, semi-branded Chinese handset makers is to blame, Chief Executive Stephen Elop said. Remaining a force in basic phones--important in emerging markets--is a priority, Mr. Elop said, adding that Nokia has new products to be launched.
U.S. investment firm Dodge & Cox has increased its stake in Finnish mobile devices and network company Nokia Corp. (NOK) to 6.8% of all outstanding shares, investment research company Morningstar Inc. (MORN) said on its Finnish language website.
While exact information on the distribution of Nokia's ownership isn't publicly available, Morningstar says San Francisco -based Dodge & Cox increased its holding in Nokia by 31.3 million shares during the first quarter to hold a total of 251 million shares at the end of March. Nokia has 3.74 billion outstanding shares.
It might bounce there but wont hold IMO
03:10 PM EDT, 04/19/2013 (MidnightTrader) -- Nokia Co. (NOK) was upgraded to Market Perform from Underperform by analysts at BMO Capital Markets. The firm currently has a price target of $2.50 on the stock.
Please refrain from bold posts.. Sold my $8.00 puts .. nerve wracking as it was over $8.00 in the a.m.
Time to panic .. lol!
Based on what?
If your underwater .. average down, but I would wait a bit. Should bounce next week.
Welcome to reality - I told you shorts would crush this.
Nomura maintains Nokia Corporation (NYSE: NOK) with a Neutral and lowers the price target from $3.20 to $2.50 .
And .. who would give then 30 million if they didnt have a solid plan?
There products are good, the reason they cant turn a profit isnt lack of demand its bad management. As far as SeekingAlpha authors, sorry if I offended you, your article wanst bad, it was more objective than most - Ever read Adam F. articles on Bio stocks? He is wrong twice as much as he is right BUT I feel he has hidden agenda's.
Most company's strive to have a product that is in demand - OCZ has that, their SSD's are well known and liked, again it's the management that is worthless not the product.
Elop lost millions and married the devil.. that's why he should go. Imagine the pps if they had android. Oh and dont forget the fraudulent commercial with the camara. And the dividend is gone.. Elop did a good job?
I trade with facts.. not feelings. Had a small position into earnings, this was their last shot. Samsung pulling away as the leader, apple has tons of cash and something up their sleeve, even facebook teamed with htc and Bill Gates is Marks mentor. Elop destroyed this company and the arrogant board let him quarter after quarter.
Cut losses and face facts - nokia is dead, maybe a buyout but nokia is done.
I think it's dead money for another 6 months.
Sorry, you wrong. watch the shorts destruy it. Longs should have taken profits - pigs get slaughtered....
Not saying I do but istitutions do. The OS is huge and you will need institutions to load the boat and there is no reason for them to do so. Nokia is late to the cell phone party and brought an ugly date .. Microsoft.
CNBC "Nokia had the worst revenue quarter ever"
But institutions do and you will need them to move this.
I dont think OCZ will go BK, seeking alpha is full of idiots IMO. OCZ's products are good, it's the management that needs to be fired as it is they who are to blame.
I would be careful - shorts will beat this down in the coming weeks. Like Cramer said on CNBC this morning "There is no reason for Nokia to exists."
Nokia will trade sideways / down for months again.. Elop destroyed this company.
