7 to 9 cent spread and nobody selling. Longs know the deal is coming plus Institutions will be accumulating all year long.
I suppose we should compare with Intel who closed 1 year ago at 53.18 and today at $38.95 to put it into proper perspective.
Thanks vein & pickle for mention of this upcoming presentation and the date.
What date is the September presentation?
at least a little of the buying came from Scwab ETFs according to the intel reporting for today...
Ready to break out of the cup and handle...
I know there are a few LWLG investors that have or also invest in Microvision, who's main focus is LIDAR.
I just wanted to potentially connect a few dots. Of course, it is just purely speculative dot-connecting but thought I would share my thoughts anyway on how LWLG tech could already be coming into play as it pertains to LIDAR. I actually am invested in both companies.
Dot number 1: Partners
Allow me to start out with Microvision, present the potential link between the two companies, and end with some comments from Dr. Lebby in his investor presentation today.
If you go to Microvision's website, and go to Why Us section of their website they have a topic (middle bullet) on their partnership network and strong IP foundation: "We have an established partner network and strong IP foundation (with over 430 patents in MEMS-based core technology).
The partners listed here are: UMC, STMicroelectonics, FAB, OSRAM, ONSEMI, GlobalFoundries
While Microvision has cutting edge mems-based display tech that comprises the display engine in the Hololens 2 and the military IVAS headset, their main focus in on LIDAR. I believe they have the most advanced solution and they will ultimately land a deal with one or more Automotive OEMs soon, or be bought out.
Dot number 2 - LIDAR application - specifically, LIDAR Interference

Method and Apparatus for Lidar Channel Encoding.
United States Patent Application 20200300983 Morarity; Jonathan A. ; et al. September 24, 2020
Appl. No.: 16/358695 Filed: March 20, 2019
Abstract
A light detection and ranging system modulates laser light pulses with a channel signature to encode transmitted pulses with channel information. The modulated laser light pulses may be scanned into a field of view. Received reflections not modulated with the same channel signature are rejected. Multiple light pulses of different wavelengths may be similarly or differently modulated.
Dot number 3:
Benzinga conference interview today:
Perhaps the next major confirmation of our tech will be news of a Paul Pelosi investment.
I wonder if he is in DC lobbying for his seat at the table in the Chips bill?
I have not specifically heard anyone from LWLG say that the use of perkinamine is ITAR restricted. Is that an assumption? However, I have heard Global Foundries say that their new Malta plant will be ITAR certified, along with some of their other existing fabs.
That is why I occasionally put all mine up for sale at values around 60 to 85 dollars per share. I believe if they were loaning out my shares they would not allow the trade.
I only have one account that I can use margin and I nevef use it unless it is an accident.
I do not think any of my shares are loaned from my tax deferred or roth retirement accounts by their policy.
I believe for many companies new product development falls into the R&D bucket. Imagine each U.S. Foundry we are working with getting a tax credit retroactively for the work they have been doing with LWLG, along with the go-forward work towards product rollout.
Seems like they are considering increasing the $ amount, adding in retroactive R&D credits and other things, but chip-related. Could bode well for LWLG, depending on how things are being classified by the foundries we are working with.
I appreciate your TA updates. I hope this holds and plays out.
While I am not the most experienced trader, if we close/confirm above the 200 day moving average that is going to put LWLG on a lot more radar screens regarding our upward trend. It would seem that covering would increase.
Wonderful news, Xena
Agree on that although I wish it were not so.
Get well soon
I am very sorry for your loss dwagom04.
This is an ongoing role for any company. Attracting high institutional interest is one of THE most effective ways to combat outfits like K capital, diamond research, etc. A company with high institutional ownership in general will be less targeted by such groups. If it does happen - seasoned institutional investors will recognize a bargain and snap up more shares and you will not have the large dips that we recently witnessed.
A very logical view of the scenario. Walk a mile in their shoes and how many would have done the same?
I believe Anthony of Globsl fought in that recent 12 minute podcast clearly revealed that not all companies involved were willing to be revealed yet, and other comments he made seemed to hint at Lightwave Logic. So this all seems plausible to me. My boat is already loaded...
I notice that's not the same old post. Thanks for not being repetitive, Proto! LOL
It's been awhile since we have heard they type of statistical updates on a regular basis, let's keep them coming Rkf302
Sure was nice to close above the 50 day moving average...
Guessing there will be a battle around the 50 day moving average. Would be great to close above it...LWLG is my top holding and top performer today...
Has Dr. Lebby spoken before congress before? I believe the answer is yes. I am not saying this will happen again, but part of my investment decision has to do with our CEO being recognized as a leader and visionary within the industry - much like Irwin Jacobs during QCOMs rise, who spoke with congress and individuals within government alot regarding CDMA and patent protections. With Dr. Lebby as our CEO it certainly could happen that he would have an opportunity to speak on the topic of photonics, and its eventual ubiquity
"I am normally a short term trader," You still are and obviously on the losing side of a trade.
but I always have been drawn to long term 'gems', and so I was "contemplating" putting a lot more into LWLG.
Contemplating, but obviously either short or hoping for a better price so trying to keep a lid on it now that it is uptrending and you are missing out on profits.
That's why I spent more time than normal here recently. You certainly have.
The recent "revelations" along with the stock price pullback made it look like a possible perfect storm in terms or risk/reward.
Revelations that, by the way, might well justify their bonuses so get over them already.
Re the bonuses, I think I read in the report having the bonus that there was internal criteria -- whatever I read didn't change my view. I asked the board if this is "common among companies going to Nasdaq" and nobody responded. If it was common AND the amount was reasonable given some typical criteria I would back off. But I think revenue or expected revenue is a far more shareholder-friendly criteria than something as variable as the market cap if that is what they used (what else is there?).
"common among companies going to Nasdaq" What is common among companies going to Nasdaq are dilution followed by reverse splits to get there.
Another potentially justifiable one-time event worthy of a bonus, and we all as shareholders enjoy holding a very low float stock with a high short interest that will hit the stratosphere on any positive news developments with any of the many foundries they are working with.
That was a very smart move on your part
I think Anthony from Global Foundries sums it up nicely in a recent podcast about keeping your rollout plans under wraps. It becomes clear that not all participants agreed to be named. Sometimes that may simply mean that you are welcome to name us only when the ink is dry on a commercial contract.

I thought about it this weekend as well. My personal journey with options in retrospect was also a journey in greed and the love of money. It took me to a bad place. Of course there are many ways they are useful for protection, and trading strategies but for myself I just go long the stock and exercise patience, watching closely whether the company is executing. By my measures they are executing so I wait.
No argument at all with the strategy, which seems to fall within my anticipated investment return window for LWLG. I am content just hanging onto my shares.

Coming from Mr GlassQuarterFull I will gladly take the dig in stride
Noone and I mean mean absolutely noone, can deny we are on the cusp of mass commercialization.
Try the Microvision Redditt board for a board with similar tech experts for a different technology, currently focused on Lidar.
Nice! I spent last weekend in Herman, Missouri celebrating my wedding anniversary touring wineries and enjoying small band venues. That is the right mindset until it happens.
I guess blackrock will start buying farm ground next...
