Ouch indeed :/
Any speculation on what this "could" mean for MXOM shareholders? I've been holding this thing for a long time hoping something like this would happen. I'm rather new to investing and have never had a stock I owned go through what this is potentially going to do. Just curious about opinions/hopes that others have with the arrival of this news? Thanks in advance to anyone who cares to share their thoughts about all this and what we might see in the future!

Pan American Goldfields Provides Corporate Update
VANCOUVER, BC - September 30, 2013 - Pan American Goldfields Ltd. ("Pan American" or the "Company") (OTCQX: "MXOM") today announces that it has introduced several initiatives to reduce costs and rationalise its corporate administration organization and cost structure. This strategic business decision is part of the mandate to lower operating costs due to the current mining environment. Outsourcing company finance, company secretarial services and corporate compliance functions will result in an annualized net reduction in costs. Commenting on these initiatives Mr. Emilio Alvarez, CEO stated, "This process of rationalising our cost structure is simply one component of a broader range of overall tightening in our finances which we have been implementing since the new Board appointments at the Annual General Meeting on June 17, 2013.
Effective September 20, 2012, Daniel Crandall was appointed as Pan American's Chief Financial Officer, replacing Salil Dhaumya who has resigned from the position and that of Corporate Secretary. Mr. Crandall is a Manager at Marrelli Support Services Inc., part of the Marrelli Group of Companies. He is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant and currently holds the positions of Chief Financial Officer with several mineral companies trading on the TSX Venture and CNSX stock exchange. In addition, DSA Corporate Services Inc., also part of the Marrelli Group of Companies has been appointed as provider of all Corporate Secretary services.
With these appointments, the Board have brought together the strengths of DSA Corporate Services Inc. ("DSA"), a leader in delivering corporate secretarial services, and Marrelli Support Services Inc. ("MSSI"), a well-respected leader in financial accounting and reporting services.
Commenting on the selection of Mr. Crandall and MSSI and DSA, Mr.
Alvarez stated "Pan American is fortunate to be able to engage Dan and his team at Marrelli Support Services. His organization is well versed in the resource sector and we look forward to working with them."
The Board of Directors would like to thank Salil Dhaumya for his contribution to the Company over the years and continued success with his private practice.
Might be a nice day...
Well, kind of intrigued about what we will see this week. Possibly today?
Indeed, super low volume today. I was hoping it might dip a bit today so I could average down from my buy in at .10 before we jump to .15-.18 range which I think will happen soon if not after we get some up to date financials.
Pretty heavy volume Friday...any guesses on what we'll see tomorrow?
I received an email from Craig Farlinger this morning and he said that he is working with Emilio Alvarez and that all is going well. He advised that their immediate concern has been getting financials and PEA out on time. They are going to be putting up a new video on their website this week and hopefully news as well. Investors asked to hang in there...
Once we get some news, combined with the price of gold recovering there's some serious potential here. I'm sitting comfortable waiting for things to start moving forward and upward. The next couple of weeks could be exciting.
Some news, kind of...
This is from the SEC's website and is dated July 10th in the signature area. Emilio Alvarez to serve as CEO and Allen Sanginés-Krause to serve as chairman of the board. Known information, but at least it's official.

Bought in @ .10
Sold, I'm out of this sinking ship. Should have pulled the plug awhile back...hindsight 20/20. Thanks for keeping it real AB.
After watching the trades this week it is apparent that every time there is a sale at a low price there will be a sale for 100 shares at a high price directly afterwords seemingly to keep the ask price up. Quite the spread on the bid and ask price right now...$1.75 to $2.35. Is it common for large investors or something to paint stocks with 100 share buys to keep the ask price up?
Nice end of day volume, just saw 250,000 go through @ $2.01 btw.
15,000 shares @ $2.18 just now...
Last trade shown as 86,700 shares @ $1.98
Ya, wow lol...didn't even notice that. It pops up between pages 6 & 7 in the PDF. I managed to get a screen capture of it after a few tries. I uploaded it here if you would like to get more than a 1/2 second look:

Would like to buy some more shares now that I have a bit more money, but am thinking that it might be wise to wait for another dip/correction...what do you guys think? I'm broke and would only be able to afford another 227 shares at this price...(some of you might think what's the point, but I appreciate even small gains given my monetary situation).
Newb investor here. I'm 25 and working in an office as a network analyst...not making a lot of money. Been saving up for a bit and back in September created a TD Ameritrade account and made a move (very small investment in relation to the money that some on this board are able to dump in) on EGMI. This board has been a great resource for both learning the ropes, understanding risk and potential reward. Thanks to many who have provided insightful information and opinions. Although my lack there of money prevented me from making a larger investment, I managed to grab enough shares of EGMI @ $1.54 to make some small gains thus far. I'm "long and strong" with EGMI and am looking forward to watching this stock go up and up over time. This has been a great introduction to investing in the stock market and hopefully someday investments such as this will relieve me of this 3pm to 1am office job!
Newbie investor here...bought into EGMI @ $1.54 and am glad that I did! Been researching this company and reading on this board for about 3 weeks now, figured I might as well say "hey" instead of lurking in the shadows. That speech was pretty informative and I look forward to the remainder of 2009 and on into 2010 as an investor in this company. Also, this lecture shed light on the CirQ Pen which I did not quite understand the potential of until now. Poken is going to be something to watch as well!
