Sophist....Couldn't have said it better myself. Great job. The problem is that there are too many egos on this board that are missing the true value of what this forum could and should be.
Sounds like a Yogi.

Thanks Rob, for that in-depth reply. I actually bought it @ 14.30 last week, but let it go the same day for a small gain. No telling where this technology will end up next, but there is quite a market now with digital cameras and camera phones. I'm hoping that it settles down next week and provides a good entry point. Thanks again.
Thanks. Confirms what I think, also.
Anyone have an opinion on LEXR.
Zeev....Do you see a pullback for LEXR next week. What, IYTO, is a good entry point. Thanks.
Bill.....Take heart....My sister fought the same battle and won, as are many. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Zeev...If you are still following..IDCC's answer to Nokia's motion to unseal confidential court proceedings in the ERICY/IDCC litigation should be made public tomorrow. If you recall, IDCC and Nokia have a contract binding Nokia to the royalty rate established in the said litigation. Depending on the tone of IDCC's response to the Federal judge, the stock could react in a positive manner. The reverse is also possible. Just a heads up for you.
Not likely that HG had access to the 6/26 declaration that was incluided in the 7/22 motion as an "attachment." Apparently, it was not filed on its own on 6/26. Sounds like it was an internal testimony by Nokia's VP to give added weight to their motion, and nothing more. Still unbelievable to me that HG, a former SEC employee, would risk public disgrace, job loss, possible jail time and who knows what else for selling a paltry 4256 shares on inside information. Lets get real here.
Humor:
Shortly after the Pope had apologized to the Jewish People for the
treatment of Jews by the Catholic Church over the years, Ariel Sharon, the Prime Minister of Israel, sent a proposal to the College of Cardinals for a
friendly game of golf to be played between the two leaders or their
representatives to demonstrate the friendship and ecumenical spirit shared
by the Catholics and the Jews. The Pope then met with his College of Cardinals to discuss the proposal.
"Your Holiness," said one of the Cardinals, "Mr. Sharon wants to challenge
you to a game of golf to show that you are old and unable to compete. I am
afraid that this would tarnish our image in the world."
The Pope thought about this and since he had never held a golf club in his
life asked, "Don't we have a Cardinal to represent me?"
"None who plays golf very well," a Cardinal replied. "But," he added, "there
is a man named Jack Nicklaus, an American golfer, who is a devout Catholic.
We can offer to make him a Cardinal, and then ask him to play Mr. Sharon
as your personal representative. In addition to showing our spirit of cooperation, we will also win the match. Everyone agreed that this was a great idea. The call was made. Of course, Nicklaus was honored and he agreed to play as a representative of the Pope.
The day after the match, Nicklaus reported to the Vatican to inform the Pope of the result.
"I have some good news and some bad news, Your Holiness," said the golfer.
"Tell me the good news, Cardinal Nicklaus," said the Pope.
"Well, Your Holiness, I don't like to brag, but even though I have played some pretty terrific rounds of golf in my life, this was the best I have ever played, by far. I must have been inspired from above. My drives were long and true, my irons were accurate and purposeful, and my putting was perfect. With all due respect, my play was truly miraculous."
"How can there be bad news?" the Pope asked.
Nicklaus sighed, "I lost to Rabbi Tiger Woods by three strokes".
I agree. None of my business what Jim does with his investments, but his selling was the last thing I expected. You could almost read between the lines of his posts that something was not ringing true.
Only following the good example that you set.
Did not breach $2.70. Thanks
Zeev.............Still holding WAVX ?
According to his bio, HG did a stint at the SEC. I doubt he would be foolish enough to cast a shadow of impropriety around himself.
Why do you say great!
Always wondered what became of COCO.
Howard always proclaimed that the relationship with NOK was excellent. It could be that it was NOK's plan all along, even before the ERICY settlement, to challenge the agreement in court. The motion filed by NOK on 7/22 was just beyond the 120 period to seek resolution. This motion ,no doubt, required months of research and was not drafted overnight. It could be that IDCC was blindsided by NOK's actions, thinking all along that a cordial agreement would be a slam dunk. After all, NOK had even provided for the liability in their financials, as verified by Tom Carpenter. This would explain the request for a 30 day extension by IDCC to draft a counter motion, something they were not prepared to do. I think both Bill Merritt and Rip sounded a little shell shocked during the conference call. This surprise move by NOK caught them completely off guard. The question now is...why didn't NOK negotiate in good faith, and what was the reason for the inflamatory nature of their motion. All IMO
Still a believer? I guess you don't expect $12.
I'm pretty sure its a fake. Lots of DJ News today, but all about Tantivy.
Why would his long tern sentiment be hold if his price target was $12 ?
Do you have a link?
Unprofessional, slanderous and probably impossible to prove on Nokia's part. Is this the way that disputes are handled in Europe, with petulance. I propose a wild west shootout at high noon on 8/25. Harry vs Jorma.
The statement by Nokia that "patents are a hinderance to competition" would make a great lead-in for an article in the WSJ, NY Times or any other business publication, exposing Nokia for this petulant statement. Anyone have any connections?
Very unprofessional. Don't they leave themselves open to personal lawsuits by IDCC insiders? Motion must have been drafted by foreign attorneys?
Would the timing of this acquisition (7/25) have prevented HG from being part of the CC on 7/23?
That comes up as the latest archived report from Schwab. For some reason its coming up as a new press release.
HG was busy filling in the blanks on the contract when he realized the other party wasn't ready to sign. Where do you think we go from here? Can these guys play in the big leagues?
Thanks Data..I knew I saw it somewhere.
IMO The insiders knew from the beginning that this would lead to arbitration. How could they not. Its makes good business sense for Nokia to do so. Hence, the false reassurances by Howard "all we have to do is fill in the blanks", were not made in good faith, while the insiders were selling at record high prices.
I agree. Saw a new episode last night. Should be on prime time network station.
No. I know Greenberg is a front for the shorts. This is my own opinion based on recent events.
Yes. I think they are in over their heads.
Greenberg is a front man for the shorts.
Thats the same impression I got from the CC.
