Since when is standing up for something you believe in a waste of time and money?
Oh man am I typing up a doozy. Just got my letter today and am I livid. I am also objecting to the terms in the notice as an undue burden to equity holders that have already been victimized. This is going to be a long one, and I am only sending it to the court.
Not if they found out why their retirement accounts lost so much value... Remember: mutual funds = indirect investors.
BTW: If anything, I think we need to organize a mass protest outside the courts at hearings. Personally I think that would be the best approach and keep Kirsten in the loop.
Fsshon, just be careful and VERIFY FACTUAL information. I would hate to see retaliation from those who have damaged the economy by suing for defamation if something was only slightly inaccurate. I don't deny that something like this needs to be done, but we need to be very very careful.
Let me know if I can help in any way.
Chuck
We haven't seen legitimate values on anything yet (subs etc.). Some cash accounts that aren't in question have values attached to them but just because we haven't seen them deposited doesn't mean they aren't there or supposed to be there. Even the MOR's are not audited and not accurate according to their disclaimers. This is a shell game for the attorneys. I just hope you don't support them hiding value...
Hope Johnny didn't scare you out of your shares! Wish I was good enough to flip earlier. Could have sold q's at about .17 and bought k's for around .30 and tripled my money. It's all a game people. We have been fairly ruled against, but as they say, when one door closes another opens. JMW knows what we need and where to find it.
GO EC GO WAMU
My house is ok, but many others aren't. Just glad I don't live any closer to the river. Downtown Nashville is bad. I'm about a mile and a half away from the river. And no, not in a van down by the river.
Anybody else get flooded this weekend?
Ha. Yeah with an iBill.
What's the IBOX?
Never heard of it before.
Where could we find that?
JK IMHO EOM.
MOR can be found here....

I wonder if she suggested it to them.
WOW! So did GE! and everyone else...
Let us hope. Have had to take a break from the board. Too much of a rollercoaster.
Death grip!
Are you looking at WM or WAMUQ??? Don't see it on WAMUQ.OB... http://www.mffais.com/wamuq.ob list each trade option clicked.
Are you speaking in code or can you elaborate???
Got to remember CITI was in a financial crisis too. I wouldn't look too far into it.
Just remember to step away if the fumes start getting to ya.
That's what I'm hoping. Glad I was wrong about that news. JMW set me straight. Stay doesn't apply to this...
Settlement would still have to be approved by the court, and that would not exempt them from the requirement by law for a meeting. BOD is screwed one way or the other. It's all about damage control now for WMI JPM and FDIC.
IMO
Think you are up for a nomination too Uzual...
Congrats everyone, this is our first REALLY BIG STEP! $12 land here we come.
IMO nothing big will happen today due to the Sleet stay/appeal. Hope I'm wrong though. Still holding with a death grip.
Chuck
Too funny... Good day all!

Pay attention to the exhibits past the page 600 mark. Plenty of PPT presentations and emails...

Thanks to Fsshon for submitting that letter. GOOD JOB DUDE!
Possible, but just because Rosen is a slimy turd, doesn't mean he's dumb. He did it for a reason, we need to find out why and prove it to get him and his POS "I mean POR" out the courtroom.
He knows he could have said, JPM... It was public knowledge. Others, yes he may have info only privy to a select few. But come on... JPM offered $8 per share we know that.
Did I say JD!?!? That was uncalled for. Jesus, calmdown. I want a hardcore - /in your face - do what needs to be done - and not take any crap from anyone kind of person. He seemed scared...
Sorry we don't agree, but man... I think I have been here long enough to not deserve crap like that.
I respectfully have to disagree. We need a lion, willing to go for the jugular when needed. I know that in that setting, you feel the need to be well tempered, but that was the exact time that he needed to get very heated and start raising his voice. And why was he reluctant to name names???? Is he trying to cover this up as well?? (granted he may have been "persuaded" to say or not to say certain things)
These days no one would even listen to him.
What time is Killinger supposed to go on? CSpan3.
Thanks Rickszy... Kirsten has been a great reporter thus far. Hopefully she will keep us up to date.
Sounds like a good way to "make" distressed assets become property on the cheap to people who may have needed it to keep em afloat. When they passed that, I knew stuff was going to get bad. Not only would it devalue assets, it would make it near impossible to put an accurate value on them, allowing some to make things look better than they appeared.
Wonder if JPM had lobbyists pushing for that one...
$24 - in the spirit of the board.
I think Tyson is a post holder as well.
