This is incredible. One look at the 'super high resolution' image of the Dora product shows that it is a very mediocre piece of photoshop work. Look at the bottom of the box - the front and side box pieces don't line up.
Then again, I'm probably missing something.
So I've got a few thousand shares that i'm trying to sell, but my limit order at 4.5 isn't going through, and hasn't all day even though we've been past it a few times.
Can anyone help me get my order through?
Haha. Wow. That was a really fun read.
Man it's been a while...
I'm going to be totally honest - people quoting press events from months and years ago doesn't really do a whole lot for me in determining the value of this company. Sure, they have made big claims, and some of them they have delivered on. However, in other ways management has fallen flat and really done a lot of damage.
All of that to say, I'm pretty sick of looking at the fundamentals of the company, considering as of now (no current forms out), there are no legitimate fundamentals to look at.
What is intriguing is that the pps has actually stopped tanking and gone up! That is huge, in my opinion. If this stock can break the .04 resistance and close anywhere above the .04 pps, I think that will be a very strong, empirical indicator that something is going on.
What will also be interesting will be watching many of the former traders/investors come crawling back when the stock shows life. Their (and my) dreams were crushed when we felt backstabbed by management, but if management is going to pull this off and make legitimate money, then I wouldn't surprised to watch this pps continue to climb as more people rejoin the bandwagon in hopes of some easier money.
Just my two cents. Used to be on here all the time, might be on more often as this is starting to get interesting.
Agreed. I was one of those alienated stock holders. What I've come to realize after writing many defenses of SPNG, and even debating Tim Sykes on my blog over SPNG, is that there are real problems with this company. I'm not going to say that they are systemic or critical, but they are certainly enough to really kill the pps and cause shareholders a lot of grief. I don't like investing in companies that show over the course of nine months that they have no concern for shareholders, especially when a simple, honest statement will make the world of difference.
Now, I'm not incredibly optimistic about SPNG, and I am pretty sick of all of the PM I've been getting when I make an honest post that isn't even bias.
But I'll go out on a limb and post one more.
Glancing at the chart, things certainly are getting interesting. Looking at the 10 and 30 day average volume indicator, things are definitely getting more interesting and there is a clear trend that volume has been picking up Since December 29th.
I'm not exactly sure what it means, but the PPS is holding up rather well if all of that is selling. So, something could be going on. We'll see what it is soon, I'm sure.
More like the floodgates of people realizing this stock isn't going anywhere and selling.
ABROWNS,
You need to work a bit on your logic. What you quoted suggests that the Post participated in some rather unfortunate editorializing with Mr. Popovsky's quote. That does not mean that the whole article, or all of the articles printed by the Post were fabricated.
Again, it's called editorializing, and it's something that you are told not to do in the world of journalism (where I work). Now, I'm rooting for SPNG just like the next guy, but I'm not going to let other people be mislead by false enthusiasm.
Dead in the water + still kicking = treading water = not a good place for a company to be.
The 8K does not mean that the Post article was wrong. The 8k did not clear up anything regarding the missing revenue streams, share dilution, etc. All Spongeables admits to is giving a quote to the post that is not provable and hurt the SPNG.
That being said, this certainly is good news. Spongetech is still kicking - dead in the water, maybe, but definitely still kicking.
Guys,
I've been following this stock for quite some time, and was what some would consider a 'faithful long' for about six months (check my post history, its almost entierly spng).
I'm going to be honest, if something doesn't change soon (positive PR or filing), this stock will dip below .04, and that won't be something shareholders will want to be around for. There are a few possibilities:
1) the stock dips below .04 and stays, signalling that .04 is now the resistance and not the support - new support is established around .03.
2) the stock dips below .04 and stays, signalling that .04 is now the resistance and not the support - the stock crushes below .01, then bounces back up maybe at support at .01 or .03.
I am not bashing this stock, just looking at the technicals. The 30 day average volume has been falling steadily, and when that reaches a critically low level, the stock may become illiquid, and many will want out, depressing the price even more. For an example of this, take a look at the last 2 weeks of GVBP - different company, but same story as far as technicals go.
Just thought I'd offer my analysis. Good luck to everyone here - stay rational, don't bet more than you can afford to lose, and come out ahead.
Get some sense in your head, man. Until this breaks .05 for any significant amount of time, this stock is going no where. Until management clears up the confusion and blows away the smoke, then we might go somewhere.
Enough people have lost a ton of money on this. No, do not bet the ranch unless you like the idea of handing it over to someone else.
If you are going to make any money on this stock, either scalp it or think a bit more reasonably and enter when there is some substantial movement or press releases (they will go hand in hand).
ZOMG!
"The Form 211 and Addendum are filed with the FINRA OTC Compliance Unit."
A grammatically correct sentence Stox!
Thanks for the info!
Hey all you SPNGers (I'm not one anymore).
I got bored last night and sent Moskowitz an email asking if SPNG is dead and why we haven't heard anything lately. Here was his response:
"Yes alive"
Good luck to all.
I've been out of SPNG for over a month now, and I've been keeping tabs on this board for the hell of it (and I've got a re-entry that now is lightyears away).
I'll be honest, I'd be terrified right now if I saw the volume drying up. If there isn't a substantial filing soon, then it seems like the drying up of volume is just the last few people buying a couple of thousand shares, or adding a bit to their positions.
Major props to all of the 'faithful' longs (I used to be one), just make sure that you don't bet too much on this. This is a story that has happened before, and rarely with a happy ending for investors.
Best of luck and (sighs) go spng...
Jeez that's kind of scary.
Overachiever,
I think this is the first time I have ever strongly agreed with you on just about anything. It really is pretty pathetic, especially because you can tell they are copied/pasted over and over again. Not that I know who is doing it, but still - really sad.
Funny SPNG story of the day:
Just got a voicemail from a good friend of mine saying she heard a spongetech advertisement on the radio. She said "I'm not sure if it was your Spongetech or the one that stole your Spongetech's name" but she said it was funny.
That's all. Good luck everyone.
Then please, prove those facts using something other than PR's that are now in question due to investigation and filed lawsuits. Please show me an official, legally binding document (PR's aren't) that show the information you claimed (like 500 million os). For that, you'll need either insider information or 8k/10k/etc etc.
Those are not facts, those are predictions. State them as such.
Maybe the volume is low because selling = death and buying = stupidity. Sounds like a good reason for low volume to me.
Or maybe it's off the reg-sho list because the stock isn't trading. Trading is kind of important for fails to continue to float around and register in the system.
That means nothing.
Soapy,
It is so sad to see you admit this. You may feel like you are doing us some kind of a favor by posting this, but thinking anyone will just forget about it because you posted is naiive.
I hate to say it, but being on this forum and others has seriously shaken my faith in the American stock market. I just celebrated my 21st birthday yesterday, and one of the observations I will take from my 20th year alive is that "wall street" is not only cold and calculating, but highly corrupt. It is sad when someone so new to investing (about a year) finds himself to be one of the only people he can trust.
As my quote implies, I care a lot about you guys and your dreams and aspirations. I have never lied on this forum, and I have never spun facts or words intentionally in promotion of this stock. For some reason, I thought honest conversation and debate was a possibility - sadly, it seems that's more a romantic idea I had about the markets that is more of a dream.
Good luck to everybody. I've so had it with the lyers (including you bashers) on this forum. On my investment blog, I once wrote a story called "The Scum at the Bottom of the Market," and it was about the bashers on this forum.
It seems the scum goes a lot deeper than I imagined.
I bet they are. I go to college literally across the street from their office and I haven't seen any big, unlabeled moving vans tearing the office down. They'll fight this one to the bitter end, I believe.
I've been out of this stock for about two weeks now, but I can't wait to see what happens on the 16th. Should be very interesting, and the unfolding drama with the lawsuits would make for a really good book.
Ouch. Well this certainly won't help the share price.
Absolutely right. Unless we can break 8 cents, this will be a sideways trade/slow bleed. Wish I knew when the action was gonna take place.
Thanks! I found it on the iBox, but I appreciate this greatly.
Does anyone know where this buying pressure is coming from?
Could you go back to the page, use the "print screen" function, and take photos of the document with url in sight, then upload it so that we can confirm its legitimacy?
1. Where did this come from? How do we know it is credible? What is your source? Can we have a link?
2. Why is there such an absurd amount of spelling errors?
3. The idea of the letter makes no sense. RM is deeply tied to Spongetech. There is no reason the CEO would be wary about getting funds from the company that by and large funds the company.
4. Please, just provide evidence.
My mistake. I mean my entry will be a solid breaking of .08 resistance and confirmed breaking of the 3 week downtrend. If this goes sub-penny, I might consider buying shares, but I want to see results, not speculation.
Jeez, really looks like 7 cents is our lucky number. Looks like the only thing replacing this downtrend is a nice sideways one.
I'm looking to re-enter at .8 cents if that happens this week.
People like you test my patience at 7:30am.
Good luck.
I need some coffee.
You should probably go research it for yourself.
;)
Wow, what's the matter with you man? I've been on the sidelines here on the forum for a while now, but I can't take it. Before you go posting like someone is a basher, please go read their post history, and think of them as people that are valuable.
The amount of childishness on this board scares the hell out of me. I'm an economically conservative, pro business person, but in the six months that I've been here on the forums watching people like you, I've realized that maybe the market really is as irrational and stupid as some make it out to be.
We're all people with inherent value. Most of us here are well-intentioned. So please, if you don't have something good to say, and if it is not backed up by evidence of multiple posts of claims made against the company with absolutely no evidence and red hot rhetoric, don't imply that someone is bashing.
This place is just ridiculous sometimes. We're all speculating - get over it, and yourself. Once we get the facts, we will know. Until then, it is speculation.
Good luck everyone. All of you longs holding on, props to you. I'm looking for entry, just couldn't take the uncertainty for now.
Blessings
Tough to see you so uncertain z4, but maybe that's a good place to be sometime. I wrote a quick post on my thoughts. You or anyone else can read/comment on it here:
http://50centinvestor.wordpress.com/2009/09/26/spnge-and-impending-sec-investigation-reduce-wait-and-see/
The important thing to remember is this is not over. You can pull out, which might be wise, but I think we should all keep an eye on this company, if even for posterities sake.
I for one have not given up on it. Anyway, don't let the bashers get you down. Yes, this is very bad news, and very hard to hear, but cheer up. Life goes on.
'night
This is true, his site has definitely been heavily "edited."
I have already reduced my position, and I'm going to protect my investment, but I am very curious to see how this plays out.
Follow the money, follow the money. If you had a gun to your financial life's head, would you really let the company destroy you and your short position without a fight, and one hell of a fight at that?
As most, I'm a bit disillusioned, but my curiosity will always get the better of me.
Let's see how this goes.
Good luck to all, and...
Go SPNG!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Frank,
I really appreciate this post. I'm a 20 year old college student with around $2000 in this company, and it's scary to see red. I did my risk-reward ratio and am ok with losing my investment, but it is still scary.
It's nice to see though that there is someone else on this board with perspective. Family, friends, and God come first to me. Money is just a means to an end (to throw in a bit of Aristotle).
Sorry about the bad news, the %% hit today hurt, but I'm in it long.
'night all. I've got a constitutional law paper to write before I drive up to University of Vermont tomorrow for a parliamentary debate tournament. Wish me luck and have a great weekend!
Hey. Not appropriate. This is iHub, not yahoo finance.
