bought some at 505.30 major resistance at 505. also some more pbi for the dividend.
gotta love a sale to keep averaging down.
please refer to my previous post. any settlement with gs would go into the LT entity for distribution and has nothing to do with WMIH which is the new company going forward.
im not surprised. read this: http://www.insidermonkey.com/blog/report-shows-apple-inc-aapl-dominating-smartphone-market-in-us-33334/
broad market down, but this might get lost in the headlines.
Apple has done it! it has surpassed android in as the smartphone leader with over 53% market share now:)

Wall Street may have misread the signals coming out of Apple Stores in China

FORTUNE -- In a press release that represents first solid piece of good news for Apple (AAPL) investors in weeks, the company announced Sunday that sales of the iPhone 5 in China over its three-day launch weekend topped 2 million units.
"Customer response to iPhone 5 in China has been incredible, setting a new record with the best first weekend sales ever in China," said Tim Cook.
The 2 million figure will come as a surprise to traders who pushed Apple to a 10-month low Friday after reports that Apple Stores in Beijing and Shanghai were nearly devoid of customers the day of the launch. It turns out that most of the action over the weekend was at the retail outlets of Apple's carrier partners -- China Unicom (CHU) and China Telecom (CHA) -- where the phones were being sold on long contracts with generous price subsidies. See A not-so-quiet weekend for Apple in China and Taiwan.
Just before the news broke, Citigroup's Glen Yeung lowered his Apple price target to $575 from $675 and changed his recommendation to Neutral from Buy. On Friday, UBS' Steve Milunovich lowered his price target from $775 to $700, citing sources who told him they didn't expect the iPhone 5 to do as well in China as the iPhone 4S.
"Milunovich needs new sources," deadpanned The Loop's Jim Dalrymple.
apple does not trade on any exchange outside the usa. care to spin anymore lies tonight?
AND Morgan stanley comes out with an upgrade of 980 an hour later. lol.
citi must be short big time. they used doug kass as the proxy to leak it on twitter thinking they could pre-empt the china sales numbers lol.

BEIJING--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Apple® today announced it has sold over two million of its new iPhone® 5 in China, just three days after its launch on December 14. iphone 5 will be available in more than 100 countries by the end of December, making it the fastest iPhone rollout ever
“Customer response to iPhone 5 in China has been incredible, setting a new record with the best first weekend sales ever in China,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “China is a very important market for us and customers there cannot wait to get their hands on Apple products.”
keep dreaming.
good luck with that. you are either short or are looking for a cheaper entry point. I dont think you with get anything you are looking for.
I fart on your stupid charts. macro news around the world markets and the fiscal cliff will take a dump on your charts and the theories behind them.
I Could not disagree with you more. If you actually took the time to read the fine print prior to posting you would have noticed that........ they are only doing this for 30 days and in limited quantities. Mainly for walmart to drive customers to the store and to create buzz for both companies which is smart. Walmart is the one subsidizing the price of them in this equation to draw customers. If you recall radio shack did the same gimmick for the 4s.
Much like those laptop or tv deals. They advertise a killer price but only have a couple in stock and for a very limited time. Drives customers to the store.
Did you read the pre-orders in china are more than double the 4s release.
tick tock earnings are going to rock. demand is strong just go to any apple store or phone store.
well. I graduated magna cum laude undergrad and had a 3.86 in grad school for my masters degree.
yet here i sit doing part time teaching gigs as an adjunct professor which pays almost nothing be the way. The job market stinks and I might just go for a phd or a dual jd/phd to do something with my time until it gets better.
I would say that there is something wrong when someone with my education and drive cannot land a decent job. then again I live in NJ which thanks to fat man christy now has the third highest unemployment rate in the entire nation.
I dont lay blame to any one person or thing, but the combination of them all makes it what it is today.
Now as for WMIH. I still hold my post emergence position regardless of the job situation because like most people I did not suffer through the many years of legal battles to tuck tail and run now. The new company will do well or it will not. The H's are inching ever so closely to start getting paid by the LT. That whole process might speed up if GS settles quickly, but who knows. hopefully we go after many other 3rd parties over time. Some people speculate on the other board that by the end of q1 2013 the H's will start to get something. Hopefully they get paid in full next year and the waterfall starts to trickle on the escrow accounts.
Other people are predicting something to happen in the next 2 weeks. heck great if something does, but I think many of us know better. Patience is what is needed. no need to get ones hopes up. god knows how many times that has happened over the years. I only wish to eventually see some movement by the board and blackstone in terms of a deal that they have hopefully been working on or some sort of plan.
Anyways.. just sitting here in wait and see mode like everyone else. the rise in pps means nothing to me. If some material event happens and is reported then I will start to get excited.
thoughts?

NPD DisplaySearch analyst David Hsieh recently told CNet that the tech giant “doubled its orders with display panel makers to more than 12 million.”
In 2013, it is likely that Apple will adjust its product portfolio to meet the strong demand for the iPad Mini. We believe that Apple is targeting total iPad shipments of 100 million in 2013,
i hope you all got in when you could. got a nice chunk at 505.82 :) almost right at the resistance.
I love averaging down:)
you and mr green are full of crap. not even close on any of your so called predictions.
ha ha. yes I was waiting for you to come and post. now only one more person has yet to post and the circle will be complete.
ohhh where oohh where has my little nurse gone who likes the winter.
you need some cheese with your whine... whaaaaaaaaaaa
lol. it must be nice for him always living life in retrospect. ha ha.
I do hope though to add more at a lower level if possible, but I am the average in type as to not miss any boat. I always keep core positions. Today I added more at the 547 level. If it dips another 3-5% I will add a bunch more.
Hopefully they will raise the dividend soon or offer the much rumored special one time one.
The Iphone 5 is selling like hot cakes around the world and the itunes store just went live in 50 more countries :)
IOS and andriod are the only two big players on the block. microsoft destroyed any chance they had by being so late to the party. The app eco system is what its driving the market share.
All one needs to do is stop by a local apple store and see how crowded they always are. :)
I love the bashtards on this board though they provide us with good entertainment. The earnings for the next 4 quarters are going to rock :)
So yea. let them spew the bs. maybe it will effect someone. could care less.
Glad im not a day trader :) slow and steady wins the race. Just my opinion.
im betting on it. got some more at 547 n change. if it dips down even more I might fully load my boats.
P/E multiple has not changed. :) I love a sale :)
well if we hit 10million traded that will be 5% of the float which is big considering most of us long timers wont budge for nothing.
well i have been busy recently so im not 100% up to date, but as I recall last time I was up to speed there were like 40 million in claims ahead off the piers starting to get paid. I assume some have been settled or dropped since, but someone would need to check into that.
Then the 200 or so owed to the piers and then the money would start to flow into the pref's n common escrow. I hope that this whole GS news recently and whatever else is cooking will get the money starting to flow into the LTI or at least down the road.
You should ask someone a bit more up to speed on the recent court dealings, but that is my 2 cents on what I recall.
cheers.
they are getting paid in full as to what they are owed up to like 10.xx something i recall. not the face value amount, but what they are owed. then the waterfall will drip onto the pref's and common escrow at that point.
I hope all escrow gets money. I also am very interested in what blackstone and the board are cooking or have cooked if you catch my drift.
The h's need to be paid in full prior to the prefs and common escrow seeing a dime.

Apple's iPhone5 to Be Available in South Korea Friday, Over 50 More Countries in December
Dec 3, 2012 08:58:02 (ET)
By Saabira Chaudhuri
Apple Inc. (AAPL) said its iPhone 5 smartphone will be available in South Korea on Friday, and in over 50 additional countries in December, including Brazil, Russia and Taiwan.
The iPhone 5 was introduced in the U.S. and other markets in September. The company said it sold more than five million iPhone 5 units during its launch weekend, underscoring its continued strength in the quickly expanding mobile device industry.
Last week, Apple said that the new phone will be available for sale in China on Dec. 14, following recent regulatory approval by the Chinese government. The iPhone 5 is currently available in 47 countries around the world including the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan and the U.K.
In October, Apple reported it had sold 26.9 million iPhone units in its fourth quarter, up 58% from a year earlier. The consumer electronics giant also said its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings climbed 24% as it continued to see strong demand for its iPhone and iPad tablet devices.
Shares rose by $5.22 to $590.50 in recent premarket trading. Through Friday's close, the stock has risen 50% in the past year.

yup, but then again it is funny to read some of the posts that are just someone spewing bs with no basis or facts to back up a point of view.
If you look at some of my previous posts i state specifics and articles that back up those specifics..
anyways. looking for a good open today. pre-open trading has up up 5 bucks already. :)
slow and steady. Hopefully by the time earnings are reported next quarter we push past the all time highs.
i guess that means your itching to go short on monday. talk about telegraphing.... lol.... do what you got to do, but its sad that you feel you need to post meaningless crap to justify your trading of options.
Please refer to my previous 4 posts on this board for further information on why apple is the biggest and best tech company today and will continue to be into the future. end of story. end of conversation.
product diversification always trumps just having one premium product line.

now the circle is complete. apple will go over 1000 without a doubt.
-China's top 3 phone markets are now in apple's pocket.
-new imacs and macbooks are rolling off the assembly lines in time for the holidays.
-iphone 5 is in good supply finally to meet demand.
-ipad mini is this holiday's hot product along side the regular ipad.
-apple tv will most likely come out in 2013.
-itunes 11 was just released.
-the failures of microsoft will only add to apples strength.
-just my opinion, but apple is only getting started. After china who knows what other emerging markets they will expand into. :)
ohh happy days.
This post is geared toward the longer term investors.
http://www.valuewalk.com/2012/11/apple-inc-aapl-iphone-5-finally-at-full-availability-gene-munster/
and also a little thing I noticed. Reports were saying the new imacs would not start shipping until late december. I went to apple.com and when you look at the imac delivery times the 21 inch imacs deliver in just 1-3 days while the 27 inch in 2-3 weeks.
So my thoughts are now the Iphone 5 is in abundance finally and will meet holiday demand. The mini ipad is selling like hot cakes as well. And it looks like the new macbooks and imacs are starting to roll out at full production capacity.
The product cycle is in full effect. I hope for this quarter to be the biggest in the company history. what are peoples thoughts on theses factors?
obama already spoke a while ago and the market has been going up. you were 100% wrong.
