the constant shorting on no news makes no sense. Not that it has to, but I think you are right that a huge squeeze will come about once it is known that the profits and distributions will continue to rise.
I picked up some more shares today. I look forward to seeing the distributions going back over 1 a quarter.
i bought more today. looking forward to the divies and better sales at the retail locations in my opinion.
i am not sure what service you are using but I see the stock up 1.05% in after hours trading.
lol. you are barking up the wrong tree looking to any major cable news program to do investigative journalism. I do not fault you for trying though.
cable news programs compete against each other and other channels for advertising dollars. they are not going to investigate any of their clients.
Just my opinion of course.
you crack me up man. lol
time will reveal all. back to lurking.
Just viewed this on my etrade news ticker

only got a small gambling stake here just for fun. been busy picking up some stuff in the beaten down telecoms over seas and the crushed mining sector. also a little wamu of course.
as for FLPC. if it goes up great. if this move is nothing more than a pump and dump it wont really hurt me. I like the story behind mining for lithium because its in a crap ton of electronic devices. the only problem is the input costs are huge in mining.
wishing us all the best.
in my opinion of course.
i am in for a small amount. lets see where this company goes.
in my opinion of course.
thank you for making that clarification. no one works for free. except maybe interns...lol
We might be getting the service at a lower overall cost in comparison to other larger companies etc.
I for one am glad they are on the case for us. A major firm like blackstone has the kind of connections we need to make the right kind of deal.
in my opinion of course.
I have been watching the pattern. picked up some more today. half way back to my old position. going to sit and wait for now. putting other money to work in beaten down sectors.
We all know its just a waiting game for the bod to put its plan/strategy into action.....whatever that might mean.
I am shocked the pps has held up as well as it has. To me and this is just my opinion. that those whale buyers over the past couple of months are holding steady and might be buying more on the slow creep in anticipation of something. who knows really.
Anyways back to lurking.
all in my opinion of course.
Thank you. I am far from perfect, but I am glad for once to have a win although small in the grand scheme of things.
what do you mean by one up on me?
just curious thanks.
I always end my posts with in my opinion of course...and it is just that my opinion on things. what I am doing etc. Thank you though. I
like many others held everything through the ups and downs of the bk case. ( I cannot sit idle anymore)
I have done well during this whole waiting period by putting my money to work elsewhere and that is my choice. I am not a rich person by any means and i depend on making a little scratch on the market every year to survive while I work at what I see is an important and under appreciated job.
I currently work as an adjunct professor at a major university. I was luckily hired right out of graduate school due to my knowledge and high gpa in both undergrad and grad level. I must report though the pittance that I make teaching makes me sad( Hopefully I will complete my phd someday), but I do get gratification helping to shape the minds of undergrad students. To the poster before who was trying to insult me. I respect all people and I think everyone deserves respect no matter how "smart" or "stupid" they are. I just post my opinions openly and people can read them or choose to click onward. I know for a fact that some people on this board do value what I have to say.
Now if for some reason you are angry that I followed through with my beliefs that the shareholders meeting would not reveal anything due to the strict laws regarding filing material information then that is your problem. I bought a lot of shares post emergence at different levels and I was in my right like anyone else to book profits when I see fit. Not every trade was profitable, but on the whole I have made back a good portion of what I lost in this whole wamu saga. If the piers get paid as of now I will be more than made whole.
I will not feed the known board trolls because they thrive on the attention.
Like I said before. I am waiting for the right time to re-enter and get back to my old position. I only hold a small amount of shares right now and I hope the silent period will last a little longer so I can do so at a cheaper price. If that point of view angers someone then that is their problem not mine.
I do not spend my days re-hashing all the wonderful ways we were hurt during the bk on a daily basis. That is not productive at all and has nothing to do with the new company.
to each his/ her own i guess.
All in my opinion of course.
I hate to say I told you guys so, but I did. The company has very strict rules they have to follow in terms of reporting material events.
I am glad that I was right and I will be looking to pick up my position again. Hopefully before any material event occurs :0)
I guess what we do know 100% as facts( which we already did know)
but its nice to hear it from the bod mouth.
1. 5.97 in nol
2. they are reducing the runoff notes
3. blackstone is still on board to find us a M&A deal
4. no one knows when a deal might happen. could be days....months.. etc...
So with that said. I do not fault anyone for just staying put. Heck I did that for years throughout the BK. I rolled the dice with what I though would happen at the sh meeting (which was nothing material)
booked a little profit on shares bought at much lower levels.
My thesis for value and nol bringing value to the company still holds.
I will be happy to re-join you guys soon as i look for a good re-entry point for the long term.
Thoughts. and all the best to everyone of course.
and as always everything is in my opinion of course.
that may be so, but long term capital gains status still holds true if i am not mistaken.
honestly a profit is a profit and if uncle sam takes his share then thats what happens.
you got to admit though even with that the yeild although variable... is amazingly good.
thanks. I am no great market timer. I just got lucky I guess that I caught it .06 from the low of the day.
I always keep cash at the ready for situations like today. I like to dollar cost average into a position.
I will hold my 1500 shares and watch for another point at which to add more.
I love how under the radar nti is. the yield although variable is insane and the business they are in can bring amazing profits especially over time as the economy gets roaring again.
I just hope I can add enough to my position to be happy for the long term before the broad market realizes the gem nti is. I think that its mainly because it was an ipo not that long ago that many people do not have nti on their radar screens, but that will not last for long as the company ramps up refinery output and we can record more quarters of profits and dividends.
all in my opinion of course. thoughts?
picked up some more at 23.66... I have 1,500 shares but I want to eventually collect 5000 of them over time.
anyways congrats to those who were able to add on the dip.
NTI is a solid company in my opinion of course.
no your right. my bad. 4 days. but I think everyone gets the jist of what I was trying to convey. The company must file documents pertaining to any material event. the company cannot just stand up and announce something at the sh meeting...
no one really knows. took a small loss on purchase made this morning. trimmed back to a small stake again. just going to watch. dont mind chasing if we get news. happy that i took some gains on purchases made at .60
still underwater like everyone else since this saga started so many years ago.
If the sh meeting is a bust that really does not tell us anything at all. the bod has to file anything material 3 days prior in paper form.
I still think the potential for nol's and the company bringing value is good. Like everyone else im not sure of the timing.
If it falls post meeting I know I wont be the only one looking to load up.
just my opinion as always.
wow really........ i was sitting above the ask for 5min and they pass me over and raise the ask. honestly i am not shocked anymore.
got almost half my original position back already. I can wait on the other half for the right time :)
this post makes no sense. the new common shares are part of a new company. nothing to do with the old co or bk case.
As for the run who knows. they might be playing games or they might know something we dont.
time will tell.
in my opinion of course.
found these articles. still looking for real news.

dang it. was in the middle of transfering more funds to catch that little dip and they raise the ask.
that was me at 1.00 for 10k shares. You know i cannot let you guys have all the fun. :)
I hope to have time to add more if the thesis still holds that the sh meeting will not be any real revelation and the price might drop a bit until something material event wise is filed. all in my opinion of course.
I agree with all those points. I added more shares yesterday. I only have 1,000 shares, but I am looking to get more over time.
It would be nice one day to have enough shares to get a 5k payout every quarter. This to me is a long term hold as the long term capital gains status will come in handy because the payout is so high.
If the price of the refined product goes up more because of demand and an improving economy the payouts can go to crazy levels in my opinion.
The distribution network and stores are interesting because the company is not depending on just one stream of income.
all in my opinion of course.
congrats to anyone who added at the lows today. I am looking to add 500 more shares, but i am going to sit and wait to see what happens after the divi is paid out.
thats true. anything could happen. Like I said. I made a decision to roll the dice and bet that we will not see something filed prior.
time will tell. If i get to buy back in at a lower price great. if not I will still get back in either way at some point.
peace.
you might be right. its ok. still waiting on 2,000 shares of H's to get paid. which I think they eventually will. that in itself with recent trades will bring me back to even. everything else escrow wise is just gravy.
as for WMIH. I hear you and I have always been one of those people that held all the way through the ups and downs. never trading much at the risk of being caught without shares right before a big news event.
I made a decision and I have to live with it. I might be right and i might be wrong. time will tell i guess.
I can tell you one thing though. if im wrong and we get some sort of business deal done/filing. I will gladly chase and buy more shares on the way up because I still see the potential.
cheers. Its been a long road guys.
in my opinion of course.
I sold out for now. do not want to get caught with my pants down if the sh meeting is a bust.
I will look for a re-entry point after. If im wrong and something is announced before. congrats.
I still think the company will eventually execute some sort of business plan, but that will be announced in filings.
just keeping it real. best of luck to everyone. going to watch and wait.
the problem is like many have said they need to file paperwork if any deal is done or in the works. they cannot just announce something at the SH meeting.
correct me if im wrong.
where are you getting this from?
do you no longer own any wmih shares?
anyways I do not care for the price movement, but for a different reason. In order to attain values hundreds and thousands of percent in gains from today's current price it will require m&a/business plan in order to use the nols.
that is what I am looking forward to.
as for the escrow. I think we will start to see more movement in that regard once the employee claims are finished with and the piers start getting the distribution. hopefully then we can see whats cooking with GS and other third parties the LTI is supposed to go after.
just my opinion of course.
rock. that doc is about the court date. about claims etc. on the 23rd. has to do with the old estate not WMIH.
yea. well i picked up a bit more today. going to watch and see what happens...
I thought it takes 3 days for a trade to settle so if you bought today it would not count towards the divi.
I think the one fact that many people forget is that outside of the refining business which is NTI's bread and butter. the retail outlets they operate are very important in terms of end product sales that add to the bottom line.
It may not seem like much, but I would also say that the chains of food stores attached to the gas distribution stations also can become a very profitable business. granted the profit margins on food are not as high as the refining business, but I think it is important to look at the big picture.
I think the combination of refining, retail gas distribution, and stores that sell products can fill in the gaps when lets say one segment does not make as much or when one segment outperforms another.
To me although the dividend payments can vary from quarter to quarter. the yield is very attractive. to me regardless if it changes a bit over time the business has the foundation to grow over time. So to me its a long term hold.
just my opinion of course. I would like to hear other peoples thoughts. thanks.
when did this happen? I am a H holder. still no check in the mail yet. but as I recall it was close to start being disbursed. If anyone would like to chime in on this that would be great.
been holding a couple of hundred shares i got at 25.24
Its nice to be sitting at some nice gains, but I see this play as an cost average in long term play.
I know the dividend can change every quarter, but that also means the yield can go crazy high.
so the way I see it even if the broad market gets a nice correction over the summer all that does is provide a nice time to get more shares which will generate nice payouts for years to come as the mix of retail outlets they operate for gas and food as well as the refining business will always be something in need. all the more better with a recovering economy and higher prices.
all just my opinion of course.
that does not mean that you cannot find it elsewhere. wink wink...
just saying. torrents cough torrents cough... lol
I just watched a very interesting film that had some scenes where you hear news audio from the financial collapse that mentions something about 31billion going to jpm from WAMU.
The movie is called assault on wallstreet. It is like a django unchained version of revenge against wall street crooks.
I will have to re-watch it again because in a lot of scenes they replay audio news from that time regarding aig, jpm, goldman etc. I will try and cut the audio part where they mention wamu.
I do not condone violence at all, but it was very interesting to think about the premiss that none of the criminals on wallstreet to this day have paid for what they did to people.
I do not want to give away all the details, but I just thought you guys might want to watch it and tell me what you think. I liked the hbo film too big to fail. This film is on the other side of the spectrum in terms of a lone wolf taking revenge for the people.
Anyways. Some of the dialog towards the end is amazing.
I know there might never be true justice for all the people hurt and the families that were destroyed, but being awake to the true nature of certain things is better than being ignorant to them in the future.
I can only hope that our new co does well for everyone. and the litigating trust brings forth some recovery as well in the future.
all in my opinion of course. now back to lurking.......
