I haven't seen a R/S that ended well. Then again, there has never been a treatment that could arrest and maybe, someday, cure blindness.
Lanza is absolutely brilliant when it comes to stem cells. Furthermore, navigating the political landscape and finding the lowest fruit to go after (Ocular diseases) in itself was a brilliant strategic move for this company. The logic of the science Lanza has employed is tremendous. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Hallelujah!!
Let's get out of this penny madness! Finally, this company is beginning to act like a player and we need mega-national exposure. Real money will not invest in a penny stock, but a regenerative medical company with FDA trials with initial positive results.
Cha-ching!
And "embryo-safe" hESC in its back pocket!
Cha-ching!
Hemangioblast (HG) platform for the treatment of blood and cardiovascular diseases.
Cha-ching!
Think about it... lawsuits are behind us. Plenty of cash to go the distance. We are reverse splitting to up-list, not to dilute.
Will this stock take a hit? Probably. Will it recover? If the initial results continue for the other patients, you betcha!
Good riddance penny-land... Hello future!
Over and out!
Atom~
Uh...
"...run out of cash soon"
What is "soon" to you? A week, month, or year?
Are you talking about a 1 to 3 million a month burn rate or faster?
Really?
Relax, they have plenty of cash for the trials. The trials will determine if they go to the moon or crater, not cash on hand.
Thanks Rocky! You always have the exact info!
Just received proxy for share increase. 457,000 just spoke; said FOR!
Atomic
Instead of AS# or OS# or RS etc... Wouldn't a more productive discussion be on market cap? What is a company worth IF, and this is a big IF, they can arrest a debilitating disease that has no cure and has little to no competition? Is the market cap for such a company to be 5 billion or 10 billion or 100 billion or greater? Ultimately, the street will value ACTC in this way.
Lipitor Comment: Outside the box
Strictly, just for giggles....
Rabin's comment, "The math works out readily to see how this could be the largest drug therapy of all time—this could be bigger than Lipitor.", is a powerful statement.
So, Let's do the math!
Lipitor 2011 sales, alone, will be about 10 Billion.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/03/10/business/main20041502.shtml
Profit margins vary, but a good estimate for the Drug Industry is about 15%.
http://www.p360.org/dsg.aspx?Data_Set_Group_Id=498
An average P/E for a major Drug Manufacturer is around 17. Note: It's higher for the smaller ones. Since this is my giggle, I get to choose the lower number
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/5conameu.html
So, the fun part...
10 Billion in sales per year equals 1.5 Billion in profit (15% profit margin).
At the current allotment of 1.75 Billion shares outstanding, fully diluted, this equates to around 86 cents per share.
Multiply by an average P/E of 17 gives you a share price of.....
Let me take this moment to again state, this is only for giggles and should not be construed as investment advice... blah...blah...blah...
$14.62 per share.
Remember, just for giggles.....
Bingo!
Open Letter to all "new" board members:
To Whom it May Concern:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the "new" board members. These diligent folks have decided, on their own, to inform me of some items that concern them about ACTC. The OS amount, market cap, share price and lack of a "product line" to justify such a huge share price of 18 cents.
Furthermore, I just want to apologize right now; I will not be selling any stock right now. I am somewhat foolish with my investments and this reckless nature is certainly a character flaw I have. That being said, please feel free to let me know just how foolish I am. This has always been this best indicator, I have found, that proceeds a run-up on the share price of my awful investments.
Thanks again,
Atom
Something else to consider...
This fledgling industry is ripe for a break-out therapy to prove its worthiness to the mainstream masses. We have all heard and read about some of the seemingly miraculous triumphs with stem cells, but that is were it seems to end. The first company to test, prove and market a product that uses stem cells that it can reproduce results patient after patient with the least acceptable side-effects will be rewarded nicely in PPS. How much will that company be worth? Time will tell. Will it be ACTC...
Nice, short article...

Like minds on all your points. I believe the paradigm shift in health care is finally arriving.
What an incredible waste of time...
The RS issue is a mute point. Trails will likely begin by late May to early June. We should know how the trials are going by September-ish. (12 weeks)
ACTC has enough cash for the trials and to fund their normal activities until 2012.
If the trials are successful, share price increases.
If the trials are disastrous, the share price craters.
Either way, an investors decision to hold this stock will be determined well before any discussion from the company about a RS.
paradigm shift
ACTC is on the threshold of a paradigm shift in the treatment of disease. ACTC will not only revolutionize the current way diseases are treated, but the entire industry in which it exists, and all of the implications which come with it.
Thank you for the DD!
IMO, ACTC is on the threshold of a paradigm shift in the treatment of disease. ACTC will not only revolutionize the current way diseases are treated, but the entire industry in which it exists, and all of the implications which come with it.
According to the link below, it should take 6-7 weeks from the 'Notice of Allowance" to issuance of the patent. ACTC's latest patent should be issued around January 25th to around February 1st.

Good post on some of what was happening with BCON today. I noticed the same thing on scottrade, although I don't have level 2. I watch real-time bid/ask data and the stock was systematically walked down through-out the session. Some shorts' really seem to love hurting this company. A day of reckoning for the shorts' maybe in the very near future.
I'm LONG BCON.
