Well, so much for the last round of hype and hope... How depressing :(
rakindjo: Granted, the alignment of factors that you've presented seems encouraging. I can't say that your assessment is not reason to feel more confident in the upcoming evolution of this stock. I'm still skeptical of what's ahead... but I'm willing to give it a chance. But then what choice do I have? ;)
Thank you for your positive take on things, for your insight, and for your friendly attitude! I'm hopeful that all GTXO investors may prosper at some point.
And one more thing, dingocub... I meant to also say I sincerely hope that you and others *do* profit from your GTXO investments. While it may be impossible for myself and a few others to ever regain our investments, it's always a good feeling for me to see others prospering - even when the gains are not huge. So hang in there! I'm sure there are some other board followers who may decide to be enthusiastic with you :)
dingocup: So you're resorting to name calling, ay? (e.g., "big baby"). Go ahead and attack me if it makes you feel better. But also know that I had not insulted you personally.
I've been a GTXO share holder since 2008. So I've seen the total pattern of things. I've seen lots a enthusiastic people come and go on this board. I don't wish hardship upon you (or anyone) and I'm not saying that you (or others) won't enjoy a profit from your GTXO investment. What I'm saying is that if the past is any indication of the future, it will truly surprise me if anything impressive happens here any time soon. That all.
So there's no need to be personally rude to anyone. But that's your choice.
dingocub: If this stock hits .04 I'll eat my laptop! It's a long-standing pattern on this board to see periodic bursts of enthusiasm with some positive personal projections. But in reality the GTXO share value only goes down and down. I have no choice but to retain my shares since they are virtually worthless at this price (due to hype then dilute tactics). The aforementioned bursts of enthusiasm are always short-lived and often emerge from members who seem to vanish, never to return. Positive news items haven't seemed to help share value in a very long while. I'm sorry, but I must call things as I see them :/
What happened to the enthusiasm? Just taking a break, perhaps?
Since dilution of shares is effectively confiscation of share value (often for the purpose of selling said confiscated value to other individuals), I think it's reasonable to feel ripped off by a company who executes such an act of dilution - especially when it's a huge one! When a purchase that I've made is intentionally reduced to 1/36th of its monetary worth soon after I've made the buy (like my GTXO shares were) and there's nothing I can do about it, it tends to result in some bitter feelings. And I'm guessing that quite a few folks will agree with me on this. Simply stated, if I would have known the share dilution was going to be the company's course of action, I can assure you that I would NOT have purchased the shares. I immediately felt a sense of betrayal once it happened.
That said, I can only hope that future dilutions don't occur and that the encouraging assessments from one our newest members turn out to be representative of the future for GTXO and its share holders. We shall see.
holter: Obviously, I sympathize with you since I can relate so well concerning your situation. But I don't think any "big time revenue" is going to happen for GTXO anytime soon. And even if it does, my bet is that the company's management would utilize techniques to minimize gains for its regular shareholders. Their track record tends to speak for itself. While perhaps not for as long as yourself, I've been holding GTXO shares for nearly 7 years... and I have to say that it truly doesn't appear that one of the company's goals is to make money for its regular shareholders. I'm betting they will divert and dilute whenever possible. My suspicion is that if any spikes happen to occur in the future, they will invariably turn to dips forthwith. I hope I'm wrong... but I doubt it.
GTXO and Reality...
I got into GTXO years ago when its promotion was heavy and its price per share was relatively high. There were few similar products available at the time, so GTXO looked rather promising. The company repeatedly boasted of its patents... and plenty of encouraging rhetoric ensued. But thereafter GTXO stock was diluted and share value thus plummeted beyond belief. No matter how many GTXO successes/potentials are reported, the share value remains way down. And this status seems truly perpetual. I believe that the shares have been below .05 for over 3 years now, and quite a bit below .02 for the bulk of that time; it really looks to me like an intended effect on someone's part. I thus suspect that GTXO may be hopeless for most investors. I as well suspect that it may be accurate to conclude that many long-term GTXO share holders, like myself, have zero chance of recovery. There comes a point when the reality of a situation should be acknowledged. And I believe we've passed that point a while back.
Sad, yes. But seemingly true.
Hi holter. I have about 14,500 shares of this. There's no way I'll ever recover. Things would have to go WAY up! I've resigned myself to simply accept the loss.
The shoe was featured on the television show "The Doctors" yesterday.
Yesterday a friend phoned and told me she saw multiple television ads (or perhaps news spots) about the shoe and its role in protecting Alzheimer's patients. She was unsure whether these were locally or nationally broadcast ads or perhaps just local news blurbs that were mentioned more than once. I'm watching for such spots myself but haven't seen anything yet.

GTX Corp and Aetrex Worldwide, Inc. Sign Licensing Agreement to Deliver Patented GPS Shoes Worldwide
Wednesday 03/24/2010 9:15 AM ET - Pr Newswire
GTX Corp (OTC Bulletin Board: GTXO), a leader in customizable, embedded 2-way GPS Personal Location Services (PLS) solutions, moves one step closer to bringing personal GPS tracking solutions to the 5.3 million seniors afflicted with dementia by signing a four year, potential multi-million dollar license agreement with Aetrex Worldwide, Inc.
Currently scheduled for retail sale this summer, the Aetrex Ambulator(R) GPS Shoe will provide millions of caregivers the means to help easily find those afflicted with Alzheimer's that wander and become lost. The GPS Shoe will be available through the Aetrex owned website www.foot.com, which hosts approximately 300,000 visitors per month and was named by Yahoo! as the best health care site "below the knee," along with the www.gpsshoe.com website, and a select group of assisted living facilities. GTX Corp's eight patents for the GPS Shoe cover a GPS transceiver module that is placed within the footwear and transmission of location coordinates to a central monitoring station which disseminates the location data through the use of proprietary software, cellular connectivity, the GTX Corp middleware platform and the secure viewing portal.
"We believe a miniaturized GPS tracking device embedded inside a therapeutic shoe is the ideal solution for the millions afflicted with this terrible disease, and we are very pleased, after many years of R & D, to partner up with a company like Aetrex which has devoted 64 years to making foot health products," states Patrick Bertagna Chairman and CEO of GTX Corp.
"Aetrex's mission has always been to develop footwear and foot care products that combine unrivaled technology with innovative designs," said Evan Schwartz, President of Aetrex Worldwide Inc. "This partnership is a terrific opportunity for Aetrex to use our expertise to extend the brand beyond the comfort category and help a segment of our population that is in need."
The impact of Alzheimer's: Currently impacting 5.3 million victims, with predictions of 14 million US victims by the year 2050; Alzheimer's disease is fast becoming "one of the biggest public health dilemmas ever encountered," according to the National Institute on Aging's deputy director, Gene Cohen. One in eight persons aged 65 and older have the Alzheimer's disease. Every 70 seconds there is a new victim of Alzheimer's, the 6th leading cause of death for seniors. Nearly 10 million caregivers, mostly family members, spend $148 billion a year for the care of their loved ones. The simplicity behind the GPS Shoe is that when a senior with Alzheimer's wanders off more than a pre-set distance, their caregiver will immediately receive a geo-fence alert on their smartphone and computer, with a direct link to a Google map plotting the wanderer's location.
Andrew Carle, a nationally recognized expert in 'Nana' technology for seniors and a professor at George Mason University said; "up to 60% of individuals with Alzheimer's will wander and become lost at least once during the progression of the disease, and up to 70% of those who become lost will do so more than once. The GPS Shoe is both life saving and a resource saving technology that will be instrumental in our ability as a nation to address the issues of wandering."
"If Aetrex purchases the minimum number of units necessary to maintain its exclusive license, this agreement will generate multiple millions of dollars in gross revenues. In addition, upon the sale of the shoes, the Company will receive significant monthly subscription fees from the end-users," said Murray Williams, the CFO of GTX Corp.

GTX Corp(R) Awarded Broad U.S. Patents for its Innovative and Potentially Life Saving GPS Shoe Technology.
Tuesday 02/23/2010 9:00 AM ET - Pr Newswire
GTX Corp (OTC Bulletin Board: GTXO), a leader in customizable, 2-way GPS Personal Location Services (PLS) solutions was recently awarded three new U.S. Patents significantly increasing the Company's IP portfolio value.
Since the issuance of U.S. Patent RE 40,879, three additional patents have issued. All of these patent applications were filed to broadly cover fundamental aspects of providing a GPS location device in footwear.
U.S. Patent RE 40,879 issued August 25, 2009 with 47 claims, including 4 independent claims.
U.S. Patent RE 41,087 issued January 26, 2010 with 27 claims, including 3 independent claims.
U.S. Patent 41,102 issued February 9, 1010 with 12 claims, including 6 independent claims.
U.S. Patent RE 41,122 issued February 16, 2010 with 19 claims, including 8 independent claims.
"Combined, these broad patents have 105 claims, including 21 independent claims, which will pose a significant challenge for any competitor to operate in the GPS enabled footwear space without obtaining a license from GTX Corp," said Larry E. Henneman, Jr. Registered U.S. Patent Attorney.
The expansion of the Company's IP portfolio and specifically in the GPS shoe category is perfect timing as the Company is currently working with Aetrex Worldwide, Inc., a global leader in adult pedorthic footwear, preparing to bring to market the patented GPS enabled shoe dubbed the "Ambulator." The GPS Shoe will afford millions of caregivers the means to monitor those afflicted with Alzheimer's that become lost due to wandering. The GPS Shoe patents cover a GPS transceiver module that is placed within the footwear and transmission of location coordinates to a central monitoring station which disseminates the secure data through the use of proprietary software, cellular connectivity and the GTX Corp viewing portal.
Chris Walsh, GTX Corp COO and ex VP at Nike and Reebok affirmed, "Broad patents effectively creates more barriers to entry and blocks competition. We have been committed to a strong, ongoing IP strategy from day one and continue to invest in our future, offering protection and value to our investors, partners and licensees."

What? No volume today whatsoever?
Quite a .20-.19-.20 yo-yo we've got going here.
I'd say that 'no news' (re GTXO) has been, and seems to continue to be, bad news. A reasonable explanation would be great. Anyone?
I couldn't agree more.
Unfortunately, signs indicate so.
You tell em, holter !!!
At the top under the title:
"UPDATE: Apple has approved the Amber Alert app described below, two days after the developer’s open letter to Steve Jobs drew publicity to the cause. You can download it here."
You may need to refresh your web cache to see it, but above is a direct paste.
Apple has APPROVED the Amber Alert Application!
Please see the update here:

Hopefully this may help things along.
Well then lets just hope that this one is typical.
Everyone here has suddenly become so quiet. Is that from the heartbreak of decline to a nickel?
