Yep. She only moved in four months ago.
I am used to such things so it isn't a big deal, she is heavily insured. Thanks, we will be fine.
The Park fire near Chico CA grew to 164,000 acres overnight. Strong winds today, right now 13 air tankers and 6 heavy helicopters are trying to save the town of Forest Ranch. I am heading down to help my daughter evacuate to my other daughters place in Chico. At least I will get to see an awesome air show.
Oh goody... In a few weeks, we will be revealing the next generation of our platform, and you will be the first to use it.
So, the first part of his pinned post is soliciting ideas about what we would like, then tells us there is a new generation ready to be revealed. In most endeavors, one does the sensing first, then structures things to meet the consensus desires. Doesn't appear that is what is up. I see another divisive whining period ahead, the neo-Luddites versus the folks conditioned by having new software from every bank, government agency, and corporation forced upon them constantly and just submitting to it. It personally has been a long time since I have had to adjust to new features in any software and went WOW! that solved a lot of problems, and made my life simpler! when usually the"improvements" are to make it easier to control for software writers.
Yeah, it sounds a little touchy-feely and like a veiled focus group, but WTF, although I see one of the first signer-uppers was Hap; I guess even nazis need their influencers.
Trump has done so many outrageous things that should have disqualified him from being a free man, much less an elected official, that it far exceeds my RAM.
The aerocommanders and air attack bosses, at least back in my day, were like literally playing 3D chess. No radar was involved then, so the commander circling high above had to keep about 20 variables in their head that were changing in real time, flight path, altitudes, loaded incoming airtankers, departing empties, most of which flew at different speeds, all while fighting fire and seeing where they retardant could do the most good. The last variable were the lead planes... really fast small planes that would lead the big guys in and show them where to drop, since the 747's and the really big guys were already puckered up since they were operating close to the terrain with box canyons and very smokey conditions and already had too much to manage. The jet wash from the heavies is enough to blow a little recon helicopter out of the sky.
And mixing rotary wing craft (helicopters) and fixed wing planes in the same airspace is avoided at all costs... to this day I am amazed at how few accidents there were. With the advent of gps, many things have changed but all that did was to allow the airspace to be even more congested. I am not in awe of much of anyone, but those guys still have my unmitigated hats off to.
The pilot awe, though, is reserved for SEATS, single engine air tankers, which were crop dusters that had belly tanks. Those fuckers would fly right at a burning snag, and at the last instant, turn on their sides so their wings wouldn't hit the tree and paint the snags every time. Since they were used to flying alone all the time doing boring back and forth cropdusting, avoiding wires, etc. when they got in a group they seemed to think they had to outdo each other like barnstorming. I wish there had been phone cams back then.
My kids are safe, only one lives up in the woods, and she has her property very fireproofed. This particular fire, the Park Fire, started yesterday and is up to almost 50,000 acres. It started by some idiot who was angry about something, set his car on fire and rolled it over the edge and down the hill in a park. They caught him, and only time will tell how many counts of murder or manslaughter he will have to answer for.
cyrillic characters. Trumpsters generally cannot read English, but will buy it for the pictures.
Thank you for the invite.
Ex-staffer describes Trump fantasizing about sex with Ivanka
Adam Nichols
Former President Donald Trump made sexual comments about his daughter Ivanka that were so lewd he was rebuked by his Chief of Staff, former Trump official Miles Taylor writes in a new book.
The comments are used by Taylor to highlight almost daily instances of sexism in the Trump White House that were so bad one senior female official told the writer, “This is not a healthy workplace for women.”
"Aides said he talked about Ivanka Trump's breasts, her backside, and what it might be like to have sex with her, remarks that once led (former Chief of Staff) John Kelly to remind the president that Ivanka was his daughter," Taylor writes.
"Afterward, Kelly retold that story to me in visible disgust. Trump, he said, was 'a very, very evil man.'"
The details contained in the upcoming new book, “Blowback: A Warning to Save Democracy from the Next Trump,” were outlined in an exclusive interview with Newsweek Wednesday.
Taylor, a former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security who admitted to anonymously writing a 2018 op-ed in the New York Times titled “"I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration,” said, "There still are quite a few female leaders from the Trump administration who have held their tongues about the unequal treatment they faced in the administration at best, and the absolute naked sexism they experienced with the hands of Donald Trump at worst."
He said “undisguised sexism” was aimed at everybody from lowly staff members to cabinet secretaries.
He remembered Kirstjen Nielsen, Trump’s former secretary of homeland security, being called “sweetie” and “honey” and having her makeup critiqued by the president.
Taylor said, at one point, Nielsen whispered to him, "Trust me, this is not a healthy workplace for women.”
And Taylor said senior counselor Kellyanne Conway called Trump a “misogynistic bully," a comment that she denied making when contacted by Newsweek.
"He's a pervert, he's difficult to deal with," Taylor told Newsweek. "This is still the same man and, incredibly, we're considering electing him to the presidency again."

I hope conix is off doing some fundraising to be able to purchase Melania's newly announced memoirs, a signed edition for $149. She is not particularly inspirational to me, but magats gotta support the grift. Says it has previously unpublished photos. No word on if they are nudes.
A fire that started near my kids' places yesterday ran to 45,000 acres in 12 hours, a wind-driven fire. Because of the urban nature, most of the aircraft were diverted to there from the more remote fires. (which pisses off the remote fires who lose capabilities of protecting individual cabins in the woods) My kids and I have the flight24 app on our phones, and it gets interesting when there are 20 air tankers and 16 helicopters working in a relatively small area. I only bring it up because there is an Australian air tanker helping out, and it shows on the flight tracking radar in another color, and from listening to the air attack frequency, the pilot is scoring direct hits on every pass, hats off and glad your country sent its best, not its surplus.
I imagine the lack of logo reflects the fears of down ticket repubs who are not getting much of trump's easy grift money. No coat tails to ride this time. I guess they are sort of putting the shitstain out on an ice floe waiting him to die which would be merciful for the downticket pseudo-magats. I can't wait to see all the trump flags flying at half staff.
Regardless of the machinations or lack thereof in having Biden step aside, waiting until after the RNC convention made the convention basically a moot waste of hate money toward biden. A clever move or just fortunate timing? Hard to tell at this point, but it has sure left a lot of clear ice for Harris.
and gosh... I feel so owned.
I figured you were getting a little twitchy from her intellectual prowess and towering logic.
I love the way I trigger sorta. LOL
How to say you are asshole, while being one. If triggering people is your objective for being here, there is a trigger that can be pulled on you. Fuagf puts up with so much shit from you because he prefers a diverse board that it is getting beyond charity to you, you are just dropping turds on the board day after day. When we say link, you seem to interpret it as "stink" and never fail to produce a stench.
It is summer, and with 5 weeks of record heat, California is burning, but that is hardly news anymore. Locally we hit so many consecutive days of record heat for the day that no one even comments at the post office anymore. I hope the rest of the country has cooled down.
Anyone else watching kamala's first rally as presidential candidate? Son of a bitch, I almost forgot what a lucid and articulate person sounds like. She is beaming with delight. When she listed off about 10 names of local officials apparently without looking at notes or prompter but from memory, I found it so refreshing. Calling the shitgibbon out, without hesitation.. I approve heartily. I also noticed she has long slender fingers, if she ever has to shake trump's hand in public, she will probably squash his little Vienna Sausage fingers easily.
Everything is identity politics with the Dems. Check the boxes---female, check, of color, check, accomplished biography? not needed.
Everything is identity politics with the Repubs. Check any of the boxes---female, check, of color, check, accomplished biography? and you are out of contention for anything other than mascot.
There has been enough stuff going on that they don't need to try and sell Depends and Ozempic to that particular niche marketing of Kennedy brand paranoids. For-profit "news" is going to fall on hard times after their disgraceful performance lately, if karma is a real thing.
I would suggest you look into the cost of living in Belize or Costa Rica. I know I have. Our system is unlikely to perform to your desires. I didn't see much value in running biden off, but he did what is likely the best thing for the country. Seems like we rarely get the whole story in real time. He ran on being a bridge to the new generation and fulfilled it mightily. Letting the former prosecutor handle the convict is not a bad move, and exercises the bigots bigly.
If Tang the Conqueror is afraid to debate her, I wonder why he calls her "stupid"? As to the process, well, although imperfect, I think it was a lot less messy than it could have been. It made the press look pathetic which they deserve. No way the thinkers in the party were going to allow a free-for-all this late in the game, and pushing kamala aside would have been really bad optics, worse than what did happen.
I have learned another yiddish word... vantz is a word for tiny bloodsucking parasites. literally a bedbug, but also serves to define "obnoxious punk" in common usage.
In the same election, Ivanka kicked in $2k as well for Kamala.
My years on interdisciplinary teams for environmental analyses and fire planning changed my way of thinking to a more open ended approach. I was often the contingency planning guy.
Yep. I was just thinking out loud. Still not a lot of official stuff coming out about the Ear of Trump episode. No legit medical release that mentions any stitches, grafts, etc. the photos of him golfing without bandage the day after with no visible wounds seems still curious.
I have seen Kelly mentioned a few times.. would be another great choice. Imagine what kinzinger would do to nazi ticket though, he would brutalize Vance.
If you are going to dispute it, show a valid link.
The dem world is one where I have had to step back and just watch. All the intrigues and speculations do not change my feeling that trump has to be defeated for the survival of our government. I am sure my opinions here have probably never changed anyone else's opinion on much of anything, although the trolls have made me more steadfast in my positions.
So the hot-stove league being aired in public isn't really accomplishing much except delaying unity behind who is chosen to beat trump. Biden wants Kamala, but I am not sure that is a done deal just yet.
If it is indeed Kamala, who will be her VP pick? I imagine someone from a swing state would be best. To be absolutely sure the dem candidate wins, I think a departure from tradition might work. After Biden's putting the country ahead of party and his own interests, I think as food for thought only, maybe a moderate republican as VP, in a sort of country over party scenario. Nikki Haley, as an example. The ticket would mobilize the powerful forces of angry women everywhere. Could be the jump start our discourse needs.
There are a number of arguments against that, not the least of them being two women would freak out a lot of voters.... well, big deal, it might attract a lot of independents and non-trump conservatives who are looking for a way out of the trump nightmare. My personal choice was either Witmer or Newsom, but the reasons against that are already out there in op-eds everywhere. I believe in the history of our country, having a non-in-power party in the VP slot is not a new idea, and has been done before. Desperate times may require creative solutions.
