In this chart you can see how the news articles were about michigan brewing co. but the searches performed were about kid rock beer. hope this clears up the confusion
the 150 comes from the top chart, search volume index. the 150 is my estimation of the number represented on the chart (actually about 140). I dont believe google gives you the exact number, just a comparative chart
Rilo, 184,00 hits for the phrase "kid rock beer" on yahoo 487,000 on google. Again, thats for the specific phrase "kid rock beer" in quotes
don't know about yahoo rilo, but the 150 number is off the chart, most queries return <10, for comparison, the obama budget scores 15-20

some info on kid rock in general, but I find this chart to be more intriguing. notice the search volume index at almost 150 thats high. Kid rock himself only scores <6. There's a buzz alright.

Eminem-Crack a Bottle, Dr. Dre-Topless, it does appear that the artist driven marketing is beginning to get rolling. '09 looks to be an interesting year.

2 good articles on the brewery. the second one is from 2000. I think it quite convenient that the brewery just started distilling.
Agreed, Kezzek just made the ignore list with Caution. Works beautifully.
I'm sorry that I must agree with you Rilo
Well said Boston, well said.
PKG, Caution, I dont think anyone opposes negative info. Its the whinning and complaining I personally dont like. This company has got some big things in the works and sometimes things take a little longer than anticipated. If you dont believe in this company, sell your shares and be quiet, thats all you have to do. But please dont try make this board like the yahoo board. To all the Mods, thanks for keeping the board as streamlined as you do, it makes it easy for investors looking for DD. JMO
I believe I read in the court papers that ABInbev had 90 days from the day they finished their merger to complete the Labatt's sale. The merger finalized around Nov. 18. That suggests the deal has to be done around Feb. 18, were almost there.
Sneaky, about the Grassroots Map, I just figured out how to make it interactive for all, there is a link on the left side of the MyMaps screen. Click on "Collaborate" and it will pull up a dialogue box where you can enter emails and check boxes to allow others to edit and invite. This way everyone can update easily as we progress.
I agree phils, I get a great response by REQUESTING product as a consumer, but I dont think it would be as well received as a SALES call.
Sneaky, the map looks great. Iv'e got a question into google as far as how to give multiple users the ability to update the map. So far, no answer but if nothing else we could set it up under a special google account that everyone here has the password to; or the names and addresses can be put into an excell spreadsheet and converted to a kml file type that can be uploaded into google maps. Let me know if theres anything else I can do to help.
Just talked to OnePutt, he had the idea to hit all the online vodka/alcohol blogs with favorable Olifant comments to drive more consumer demand I will start working on it, but figured more heads was better. Putt especially wanted to get Sneaky on it. Also, anyone who finds a blog etc. post it on the board so others can go comment as well.
Figured I would give my update on the "Grassroots Campaign". I was so excited last night that I went to 2 more local package stores. The first one said they didn't have it and stared at me with a blank stare. But then he picked up sheet of paper and wrote down "olifant... with an elephant on it" and said that he would get some in, I told him I read that it was supposed to be comparable to grey gouse but much cheaper and that I thought Empire Distributors was the local distributor, trying to sound more like an interested customer than a proactive shareholder. The second only had a handle (1.75l) so as I was walking up to counter a plain clothes employee said to me "that is some good stuff" I asked if he worked there, after he said yes I asked if they had any other sizes, he said that he had ordered some and the flavors as well and that Olifant was the only thing that the owner of their sister store would drink. I will tackle a different store next week and wont stop until every store in town carries it, then I will start asking about "the other great drinks from the same company". If they have Oli I ask for flavors, if they have flavors I ask for TV, if they have TV I ask for the TV flavors. This GC truly does have the power to drive sales. GLTA.
hey guys, I have watched here for awhile but have never posted, thought this was important enough to register for though. Here is the message I posted on the Yahoo board about on hour ago.
It has been awhile since I have followed this board but I now write to resubmit an idea that has failed for me in the past but appears to work with the new aquisition of Olifant. I know in the past trying to start a "grassroots" campaign by requesting the products in my local package store have gone something like this: I request it, the store checks with the distributor, who reports back that "No one carries it", or "That company went out of business". Ordering on the internet gets old, so it stops there. Now with Olifant, I walk into my local package store and there on the shelf is a HUGE Olifant display with bottles lovingly arranged. After buying a bottle, I talk with an older gentleman, who I presume to be the owner. He tells me it sells quite good and I ask If he has heard of Trump Vodka, and the flavors, as well as the upcoming drinks from the same company. He says he will get some ASAP. Thats when it hit me how HUGE the Olifant deal is, there is a whole distribution line already set up that P. Kenny can send the rest of DKAM products down, and Im sure he will. But more importantly, there is a distribution line in place which allows us as consumers to demand DKAM products and create demand at the retail level; something that, for me hear in Columbus, GA, has been hard to do in the past. Any IHUBers in here, I usually follow your board, congrats on keeping it efficient, please repost there and save me the trouble of registering.
