Bloomberg.
I consider myself professional-- though I'm not running a hedge fund.
That said, being professional also means not acting like a child every time something doesn't work.
My brokerage house gives me all the tools that I need to make trades successfully-- SC is just a nice addition to what I'm already using.
...as for "redundant data feeds" try setting yourself up with complimentary feeds. All the services I use give me something a little different.
I'll go along with this too, and so what if they have intermittent problems. A professional wouldn't just rely on one service, you'd have a back-up if trading every tick is a must.
...and add that they should eliminate anything that's free on the site-- that's how valuable I consider this service.
thanks.
throw you some bones...?
I'd be repeating myself if I did, see post #17317
I have a habit of holding my breath-- so I make a conscious effort, under full power, to breath as deeply and as consistently as possible...and I try not to coordinate anything-- it's all about supplying fuel to the muscles when they require it.
agreed, stay long-- I am.
Daylight Energy Trust...???
bot some this morning-- gas weighted.

yeah, I guess it is-- I'm still holding Cumberland Resources which I bot (again) going into yesterdays close ... I'm thinking I should either sell it now for a small profit or buy more because it's not trading with the sector.
the problem with your politics is that you would take my time away from the markets to correct your bullshit
you think that 45% of Palestinians are Christians...?
think again
according to Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_the_Palestinian_territories
Religions: Muslim 75% (predominantly Sunni), Jewish 17%, Christian and other 8%
K... since I trade in both the equity markets, and the currency markets I can cover a lot of world news in a day, so I ignored the original post because I believe it to be a loaded question.
anyway, your post is a good one-- plenty of "touché"
thx.
I'm looking forward to your opinion on gold-- did some buying towards the close.
I don't get what I'm looking at
who is "cannavaro pallone d'oro?"
the young guy getting the injection...?
an injection of what...?
and why is there a camera...?
Ohhh, I have no reply-- nothing that would matter ... if anything I'm starting to feel that same fatigue Landis is starting to feel towards procycling.
-- anyway, I'm heading out for a ride. Yeah, there's lots of snow on the ground, but they've plowed the cycling routes and I've got a set of Schwalbe Ice Spikers tires on my MTB -- despite the weight of studded tires you can still build quite a bit of speed on hard packed snow.
-- and it's unbelievably warm today, I'm sweating just thinking about it.

the only way to win a war is with massive casulties-- if the Americans went in and levelled Bahgdad and a few other Sunni strongholds there would of been a Mideast peace agreement.
...but Bush is politically handcuffed and Rummy was left waging a politically correct war.
The duration of the Iraq occupation has exceeded that of WW2, but WW2 ended abruptly with mushroom clouds.
I seriously doubt that the Americans will resort to nukes-- considering the next president will probably be a democrat.
-- but life's a paradox with a twist of irony.

-- "very concerned about declining USD"
-- "multipolar world with China as present linchpin"
I see the world in two ways:
1) Biblically (Ezekiel, Daniel and Revelations), Israel vs. Persia, Cush, Phut and Meshech (land of Magog) in an eventual end-times confrontation.
2) Countries that trade in dollars vs. countries that don't or won't ... Countries that are democratic vs. countries that are despotic.
...in regards to the US, you sound like a dyspeptic cynic-- but whether you like it or not, it's still the most dynamic growth oriented economy in the world. That said, if you get enough people to "will" the US dollar lower and "will" the price of gold higher-- then that's what you'll get ... but will it make any sense...?
"You're either with us or against us." -- GWB got it right.
-- "Any thoughts on my comments re inflation and mfg"
You're asking the opinion of someone who trades around 4 different chart patterns and a 9-day Moving Average...????
I'll tell you this-- I think that Marc Faber is too bearish, Jimmy Rogers too bullish and Don Coxe, well, is just about right. Read Coxe, IMO, he's been right on the direction of the markets for as long as I can remember.
Oil sands key target for global energy players
The Globe and Mail Mon, 11 Dec 2006 3:14 AM PST
CALGARY -- Alberta's oil sands are a "prime target" for international energy companies, one Bay Street investment dealer predicts -- and another Bay Street player maintains that northern Alberta accounts for more than half of the world's "investable" oil assets.

I also think the $C (oil money) has bottomed, pivot-point confirmation is happening here today.
...and the reason for mentioning these tickers is because they tend to lead the PoO
take a look at some of the big C$ drillers
cfw, ESI, svy and tcw
they're firmly in a uptrend
...and so are refiners like VLO, irregardless of the outdoor temperatures.
-- keeping in mind that some of these stocks could get whacked over tax-lose selling ... I'm looking forward to the last week of the year.
okay, thanks-- I'll keep it in mind ... and we should also keep tax-loss selling in mind going towards the end of the month ... it could still get very ugly.
this could have been a great July photo for the calendar
okay, here's what I really think <vbg>
"a statement about his views on doping"
yes, that's exactly what it was-- but I see it as a missed opportunity-- he should had a photo with Oscar in yellow with Floyd sitting on his wheel.
Erasing history doesn't make the crime go away.
I don't think it's about lost sales and I don't think its a statement on his views about drugs -- I think he's sweeping the controversy under the proverbial rug because it takes away from his artistry -- his photos are the story.
...and I don't think he wants anything to distract the viewer from what he was trying to capture.
speaking of photos-- along with that Overcoming DVD, I also purchased Graham Watson's 2007 cycling calendar. Not unexpected, July's picture is one of Oscar Pereiro wearing the yellow and not of Floyd Landis, in fact, there isn't one photo (of the thirteen) that included a rider wearing a Phonak jersey.
I should thank you for the great photos--
thank you.
do yourself a favour and pull-up a 5-year chart on Ivanhoehoehoe Energy (IE-TSX)
need I say more...?
so the 26% number isn't a mistake...?
I thought my software had gone nuts...!
I really do like the chart
what else do you like...?
-- "even from the film made a couple years ago of CSC"
Would that film be "Overcoming?"
-- it's funny that you mention it, because I just received it in the mail.
are you buying any of these trusts...?
I took my first position in THY-- I hear it's a piece of crap but I know it's levered to NG ... great chart to boot.
that what I was thinking-- phonak colours with the number one.
it has to be floyd's helmet
-- when looking at the crude chart you'll notice that a giant dish pattern is being forged
...as for the ME-- I suggest watching this:
http://www.whatthewestneedstoknow.com/
hahaha...!
...and you can go back to pumping.
BTW, I have no complaints about SC-- I think they're the best value on the net.
Sastra...?
he's the most consistent rider out there today-- he rode all three GTs ... his ability to recover falls into the category of ET.
Kloden...? His best friend is Ullrich... <sigh>
So as sports fans, we either refuse to watch-- because we become accessories to the act of cheating, or we embrace these modern training methods.
-- geopolitical
yes, I think so-- the stocks that are being hit the worst are the international plays.
Confirmation happened already-- high volume short-day @ 78.52 is enough for me to reverse my position ... that said, we're in the 2nd day of the correction with both the XOM and the USO approaching the 20-day ... I expect a sideways move-- and if it fails to rally, another short opportunity will present itself.
My bet would be failure by the way the small caps are getting killed.
