Maybe Ms. Shapiro will read the PDF by Dr. Jim DeCosta. It's worth reading.
Thank you for your post. There are some good comments on http://www.sec.gov/comments/4-590/4-590.shtml regarding their round table discussion on short selling. I wonder if this problem will ever get resolved.
I think some or most of the actual shareholders are on a different forum. Unfortunately some of us actual shareholders are not aware of the forum or not allowed to participate there. So we are left to rely on company filings and the very few posts that make any sense (such as the one you posted). Thank you.
So ELEA and UOC are the same person? I was responding to patchman's post inquiring if ELEA pulled that off of Yahoo, which apparently he did.
So hard to keep up around here.
The CEO is saying that SpongeTech cannot be trusted. If you recall the conference they had a few months ago, Steven said that customer loyalty, especially the loyalty of women, is important to the success of their business. He is right.
Spongeables CEO should not have made such a statement, even if he believes it is true for his own industry. In my mind, SpongeTech is a different industry than Spongeables, and that will become more clear as they roll out new products.
I suppose I can understand your reasoning, but I disagree with it, especially at a time when people are hurting financially and are looking for some hope.
I will say however, "owning a french fry factory" is funny.
Patchman - I am unable to privately respond to Private Messages since I do not have a premium account. I have read the link you offered me which has been posted publicly. For the record, I do not have an alliance with anyone regarding SpongeTech. I am interested in my investment and in the technology of the products I am now using.
A while back someone accused me of working for SpongeTech. I was surprised. I wish I did work for them. I need a job.
I think you are asking me. Yes, they work.
I do not know who the original inventor of this infusion technology is or if it really matters. I like it whether it comes from SpongeTech or Spongeables. I think it's an important technology with huge potential. SpongeTech has some things to sort out, but the technology is not going to go away. I just hope my money is in the right place when this technology goes through the roof.
Look at the product details. SpongeTech is sitting all by itself at the bottom of the box. It does not have an (R) next to it, however.
I have several Spongeable products and went over them with a fine tooth comb. None of the packaging has SpongeTech(R) on it.
Personally, I think people have been confused when they placed these listings for Spongeable products, and thought they were SpongeTech related.
I do not know about any of the allegations in the PR today. Guess we will find out someday.
The summary is a little easier to see what trademarks belong to which company:

This is why we need a new biodegradable delivery system:

Any responsible cleaning company and consumer should be able to see the advantage of SpongeTech products.
Not rocket science.
Unfortunately, I can't reply to your PM. I don't have a premium account, and am not willing to pay it.
I am waiting for SEC information and the 10K before I make any rash decisions like giving up on a company because Bill Young's voice might not be appealing to some people. Maybe it's because I have been around deaf people who talk poorly. What is more important in this case, the message or how it's delivered?
I hope you have a good weekend. I am going to break away from the internet now and relax, and hope we have a good Monday.
I just listened to the recording. Sounds fine and reasonable to me after participating on these discussion boards for the last couple of weeks. I'd do the same thing. I did like the part that said they are working on getting things straightened out.
They really sound to me like a company that is trying hard to build a business. I'm sorry but the bashers have not convinced me to give up on this company.
I called Robison Hill a few days ago mainly because I had not been able to talk to anyone on the phone from SpongeTech's IR. I guess I just needed to be able to talk to a human rather than getting all of my information from the internet. (I was happy to be able to at least talk to Doug Furth a couple of days ago.)
Anyway, the first call I made to Robison Hill, I left a message on Brent's answering machine (the receptionist forwarded me to him). She also told me I was welcome to call back later, so I did. I will try to quote the conversation to the best of my memory, and hope that Brent forgives me if it's not exact.
Me: "I understand you are doing the audit for SpongeTech?"
Brent: "Yes"
Me: "Have you been getting a lot of phone calls about this?"
Brent: "Yes, I have, and I can't tell you anything that has not already been made public."
Me: "You can't tell me when it will be done or anything?"
Brent: "No!"
Me: "Ok, Thank you."
Draw you own conclusions. (The fact that I was an idiot to bother the poor guy, need not come up.)
Such drama. I've read many of your posts and the links. Thank you for them all. I guess I will let the lawyers and the SEC figure it all out, but based only of what I've read, my vote is on SpongeTech. At the very least they have better PR writers than GetFugu does.
(I liked the link about America's Cleaning Company. It was nice to read after reading all of the drama.)
I decided to call our local Walgreens just for kicks, since so many people are doing that. (Zip Code 84074) They don't have it. Am I surprised? Not in the least. Am I worried about it? No. I expect this would be the last Walgreens that carries any new products from any company. If I happen to see a SpongeTech product in the store, I will let you know. Then you will KNOW they have penetrated the world.
Thank you. I appreciate the response. I hope that he and a couple of other people will post tonight.
I would be lying if I said I am not upset. I've worked hard these past few months to accumulate the measly number of shares in this company that I have. Why did I accumulate them? Because I believe in the product (Dicon Technologies, specifically).
There is nothing I would like more at this point than to see naked short sellers fry.
I saw this post on Yahoo, but do not know how real it is. I'm not sure if I care enough to try and call Doug.

I just did a trade with Zecco also and it worked fine.
I always enjoy your informative posts, and understand them (you write like my brother). I am not so sure about this statement however:
"It simply being the case that miscreant behaviors get blown out of proportion by excitable folks."
When a person starts receiving hateful comments because she likes a kids bath sponge, you have to think you are into something really big!
I gave one of the SpongeBobs to a friend. When I showed her how I was using him to wash the dishes and showed her how nothing sticks to it, she said she wasn't going to give it to her kid. She wanted to keep it for herself.
People think it's just a sponge until they use it.
Personally, I think if a person can afford to keep their shares and not sell, they should stay long and strong. I like this company and would love to see SpongeBob win his war in these shark infested waters of Wall Street.
They are also probably the people who do their own DD and don't waste their time reading message boards.
I wonder how many people investing in this stock know was A/S is or even care. I do, now. (I mean I know what A/S is. I don't really care about speculations that I have no control over.)
You need to start thinking like a homemaker, mother, nurse, whoever is concerned about cleanliness and our environment. This company knows their product and their target market. That is the reality and that is what I am investing in.
People taking profits makes sense. People being afraid and selling makes sense. Manipulation makes sense. At this point, it doesn't matter to me. I, for one, am satisfied with what I have read, seen, and felt (both with my heart and with my hands).
I consider this consolidation period a gift, not only for those who are taking profits, but also for those of us who are trying to average down and get more shares. It takes time for funds to clear through the system (I use to be a computer programmer for a bank). Not all of us have margin accounts.
Anyway, I will have a little money on Monday for SPNG (not much, mind you). The price might gap up or it might go down. Whatever. Come Monday morning, when I see that my pocket change is in non-marginal funds, I will put in my order.
I started out as an emotional trader. I am becoming much less emotional and more of a long-term investor. It feels so much better. This post may or may not help anyone. I guess the moral of the story is each person has to be responsible for his or her own trading/investing.
I appreciate the informative posts from those of you who are much smarter than I. I am learning a lot. Thank you.
I think this video is really cute:
Someone needs to make a video of their kids with the Sponge. That would be fun to see.
You notice I captioned that video for those who are deaf and hard-of-hearing. There are thousands of deaf people who use the internet, and they appreciate anyone who remembers to caption their videos. If SpongeTech made a commercial in ASL, they would have the attention and the loyalty of the entire Deaf Community, I guarantee it.
Well, I guess it depends on how much money a person has invested in the company. One of the advantages of not having much money is I don't have much to lose, but a lot to gain if this goes up as much as I "feel" it will.
I also don't have all of my pittance invested in this company alone. Other stocks and funds keep my account in check (for the most part as long as the market doesn't tank again).
Hey everyone, how's it going? The only thing I was disappointed about today was that I didn't have any money to buy when it dropped to .1201
I announced to my family and friends to put SPNG on their watch list (and of course showed them my video). A couple of them might invest. I know they will do their own DD.
I love this little SpongeBob! He ran out of soap so now I am using him to wash the dishes (don't shoot me...we don't have any kids) with just a drop or two of dishwashing liquid. All they have to do is make one side a scrubbing side (not too abrasive) and he would be a perfect dish sponge.
I have used many different types of sponges and scrubbers for dishes. They all fall apart too quickly and easily. Food sticks to them and soon they stink. But not SpongeBob. He still looks brand new and unused (wet, not dry). I for one am looking forward to their line of dish washing sponges.
My husband washed his truck with the car kit (second washing) and raved about it again.
Definitely a high quality product. I ain't the least bit nervous about the stock.
I'm not the least bit worried about SpongeBob Sponge. It won't be long before he is everywhere also.
Whatever. I was responding to your statement that with every WalMart there are a bunch of Xtramarts around. I never heard of Xtramart until I Googled it.
According to http://www.xtramart.com/locations.html, they only exist in the eastern states. WalMart is everywhere, even out in the sticks of Utah where I live.
My husband wants sponges shaped like cow udders. (You have to know him to understand how really funny that is.)
Here you go:
I learned about WNBD from just-an-ant who grabbed me yesterday on another discussion board. I must say his (her?) timing seems to have been perfect, at least for today. I think I was lucky to get some shares at .014 this morning. Thanks just-an-ant.
I haven't tried the products yet, but I ordered them today. It appears the products do not exist in Utah? I'll let you know what I think after we put them to the test.
Someone mentioned here earlier about squirting just about any liquid product into the "sponge". I can't find the post now....too many posts to swim through. In my opinion the attraction of this product is not only the convenience, it's the fact that it's biodegradable. People are concerned about our environment as well they should be. It would be great to get rid of shelves lined with plastic bottles and replace them with biodegradable sponges. I can add the sponges and the paper packaging to my pile of stuff to be shredded as mulch for the garden.
As far as the stock is concerned, I wish I had had the time and energy, and the trust, to think and investigate seriously about SPNG a few months ago. It would have been great to have bought at $.02 cents. But rather than become upset and envious of those who are becoming millionaires, I plan on keeping a close eye on this baby, and watch my account grow a little. GTLA. (I guess that means "Good luck to all.")
