Thanks, see the edit to my original post.
IV is completely down for me. I get a page not found error now. At least the error page comes up quickly.
In edit, apparently the IV1 and IV2 boards have finally been deleted. Starting over at the home page and selecting RMBS seems to work fine for now. I have updated my bookmark and it seems to be working OK.

Sounds good. With all this good news I wonder if there is going to be any spike today or is it just light trading until the trial starts.
Integralaction
I don't think you can move them to below the posts. But you can select "Hide iBox" up near the top of the page if you like.

<<<<Let Tyson Foods know your opinion of what they think of AMERICAN labor; AMERICAN labor of all religions I may add.

I'm not sure what your point is. Looks to me like they negotiated a 5 year contract with an American labor union. I don't know if that was a smart business decision or not. Should I buy their stock or are you delving into politics?

Thank you Nevo. You and the rest of your father's family have my deepest condolences. He was a friend to many who he never met.

Bruce,
Any idea what's going on with SNDK anyway? I have a bunch from $2-4 higher.
Integralaction
Thanks steviee, doesn't look too good for the short term. Though it is recovering off of the bottom. Maybe I should just sell the DCB and cut my losses.

VPHM hammered in premarket. Safety concerns halted trial.
Where's it go from here?
Integralaction
Go get em Zeev. You can beat this if anyone can.
Integralaction
Comment withdrawn. I'd rather not end up in jail myself.
Integralaction
Hi Zeev, been away from trading for awhile. Still interested in RMBS though. I see you boped it the other day at 17.06. Do you still have that position and what are you looking for?
Tx,

Rambus won.
Hynix was found guilty of infringement on all claims, none were thrown out for obviousness or prior art. Awarded Rambus 306.5 Million.
It's a good day for me. <g>
Integralaction
Was Furness able to make any points at all? Maybe you could comment in part 2.
Thanks for part 1!

<<<It was another good day in SJ. >>>
Good to know! Will you be providing any details? We looooove details.

Grapefruit juice is also a no no for people who take statins for cholesterol control. Do you know if Tagamet is also a problem for statins?
Integralaction
cal, best of luck with your procedure. I had the same 3 months ago for atrial flutter and zero problems since.
Integralaction
Nice job with the Ibox! My only suggestion is that you keep it tightly focused like it is now and not try and turn it into an all possible links to all things Rambus. I have seen other stock boards here with boxes like that and I just wind up never looking at them as they are too big, often with old and broken links.
What a great week for the bus.

PPHM -- Maine, I get half of your core shares appreciation, don't I?

Regarding the GSK vaccines story, do vaccines recieve some sort of special expidited testing and approval process compared to other classes of drug? Do the developers/manufacturers in essence get a free pass through the maze as long as the "new" vaccine is developed in accordance with some standard.
I guess what I am getting at is how can all these vaccines shoot right past Tarvicin as the latest and greatest thing for Avian flu.

I've been hanging onto MAGS for about 6 months now and I am back above water. Looks like it is slightly above a resistance point. Do you have a target? I'm thinking 14.5.
BTW I haven't been posting or trading much these days. A little different work environment. Still lurking strong <g>
Thanks,

Working on my homework, the Anderson case. Sorry it is late :) Thanks for the followup posts as well.
Very interesting and a surprisingly easy read (after years of Rambus court documents I feel like I could test out of the first term of law school).
In the full pdf of the court opinion there is another interesting part that I don't think you pointed me to yet. At the bottom of page 10 (pdf page 12) there begins a discussion of the need for a nexus between the document destruction and a "particular proceeding." The SC seems to be saying that a "partucular proceeding" needs to be forseen for document destruction to be a problem. Not exactly identical to the Rambus circumstances but in the time line of the shred days I think a parallel could be drawn that though there may well have been a general concern for future litigation there was now way to determine what any "particular proceeding" might be. In footnote 10, refering to the record of another case: "it is insufficient for the Government to show the defendant intended to affect some hypothetical future federal proceeding".

coool, homework. I'll get on that tonight. Thanks for the links!

smd1234, regarding the A. Anderson case from the Supreme Court: what is the insight you have had on the practical approach the SC would use for spoilation? Sorry if I have missed it in the recent flurry of messages.
Thanks,
Integralaction
Ha, you were a little quicker that time.
Integralaction
jra2, I must have beat you out by milliseconds!
Integralaction
Bu$$ news positive.
There is a Judge's order up tonight clearing RMBS in the spoiliation and unclean hands part of the Hynix infringement trial.
Should be a wild day tomorrow for you day traders. I'm expecting a multi-point move up.
Integralaction
preciouslife1, your link did not work for me.

This post from RB mentions safety in "patients treated to date" from a slide in Lytle's talk. I don't recognize the poster there so can anyone confirm this? It would be the first public statement of actual human safety of Tarvacin that I know about.

Integralaction
Also, thanks very much for the transcript. I listened to the call and it is nice to have something to refer back to. I think you did a very good job on it.
Integralaction
I have tried to parse the conference call transcript focusing in on clues to what we would all like to hear regarding the current Tarvacin trials.
1. Tarvacin is safe.
2. Tarvacin is effective.
They did not make these two statements as they seem to be waiting to provide the scientific data in a complete and controlled manner. I did find the following statements which seem to support my assumption that 1 and 2 above are true.
<<<Our clinical trials are progressing well and we have made several significant advancements. >>>
<<<Tarvacin HepC Trial initiated Aug05 is progressing in line with our expectations. >>>
With regard to 'safe' surely there have been no deaths, so far, in the trials. You just couldn't say 'going well' if there were.
It seems almost as good a bet to assume that there have been no unexpected severe reactions. And even likely that there have been no severe versions of what may have been expected reactions at least at low doses. You just couldn't say 'in line with our expectations' otherwise. Everything previously published shows that expectations were that it is very safe.
<<<We are planning to initiate enrollment for 1 or 2 addl. AV indications during 2006, pending positive results from pre-clinical studies. >>>
They appear to be hedging on other antiviral indications only with respect to 'preclinical studies' i.e. does Tarvacin attack the virus. They are not hedging with respect to any sort of final safety data from the current human trials. Seems to me that if there were any bad reactions so far that they would have included something linking the future trials to an acceptable outcome for safety in the HCV trial.
As for effective.
<<<1) Dr. Arnold Monto, a leading influenza expert. Dr. Monto's expertise and contacts with and USA & Int'l organizations working to prepare for an Influenza pandemic will be esp. valuable to help accelerate the assessment of TarvacinAV as a potential agent for deadly Influenza strains, both seasonal and Avian Flu.
2) Dr. Alfred Prince, world-renowned virologist and Hepatitis expert will help to advance our HepC pgm.
3) Dr. Peter Barry, a leader in the study of Cytomengalovirus, will help in evaluating the use of Tarvacin to combat CMV, which could be an attractive AV indication for Tarvacin.>>>
Does any one really think they would be sharing the income from new stock offerings with all these guys if they didn't think Tarvacin was working on viruses in people? And that these people could help push Tarvacin testing into many different indications (which would also be an expensive waste of time it it weren't working to some extent in HCV)?
This is just my speculation, but either Tarvacin is safe, and working to at least some extent in humans, or these guys are WORLD class liars and manipulators who plan to flee the country in a few months. I'm still betting on Tarvacin.
Integralaction
OT Good choice! I knew a couple of guys in pre-med back in the day. One became a radiologist don't know about the other. Got a BS in chemical engineering for me. (The other 4 years were my first jobs out of school, and it's no warmer here in North East Ohio damn it.)
Sorry to everyone else for clogging up this nice clean board but it's the weekend so I hope we are forgiven.

OT to team_bryant,

WinLoseOrDraw, Just noticed that I "won" your contest from a few weeks ago. I believe that the reason the digit 1 appears more than others in financial statements is some sort of "law of small numbers" where a business getting a number (say gross sales) to $1,000,000 (or 100,000, or 10,000) is hard and such figures tend to stay in that area for awhile. Once they are capable of moving on to 2,000,000 (200,000 or 20,000) they are likely to go to 3 or 4,000,000 much faster so the frequence of occurance of larger digits is lower than smaller digits.
Integralaction
OT calbiker. I've been in RITA for awhile here. Is there any place i can go for some elaboration? Looks like a good company, but it has been difficult to find any discussion outside the official news.
Tx,

cjgaddy,
For your information, you can respond to private messages on IHUB without a premium membership. You just need to do it during the Friday afternoon "happy hour" that starts at 4 or 5 PM. You can do anything a premium member can do during that time. Admittedly that is not very convenient, particularly for instant messaging, but I like to do a lot of my searching of IHUB for specific information during that time.
Good luck, and will PPHM ever announce results?
