Ok... I was just testing out my software, getting ready for the big return of the sponge and decided to make a little PSA. Not an attempt at humor, just seeing what my little freeware programs would do...
They do seem to enjoy talking to each other...
Ha. I think we both know that the only folks in trouble here are the bag holders. Wo0f.
Maybe the dilution will hopefully ease up soon. If so, it should shore up and push. Let's see how greedy they are though.
Walgreen (WAG Quote) upgraded at UBS. Rating raised to Buy from Neutral. Price target raised to $46 from $32. Fiscal 2010 EPS estimates raised to $2.48 from $2.30.
Walgreen ( WAG - news - people ), where Greg Wasson, CEO since February, is a lifer at the drug store chain, but CFO Wade Miquelon was brought in from Tyson Foods ( TSN - news - people ) in May.
While Miquelon's compensation is 46% more than his predecessor's -- the cost of doing business when you bring in outside talent -- Management CV expects his cost-controlling skills and international experience to complement Wasson's intimate knowledge of the company. And the pair is certainly motivated to make it work; Walgreen's guidelines require Wasson and Miquelon to own company shares equal to certain multiples of their salary, ensuring they both have "skin in the game."
So true. I just wish I could get an update on that money. Really a fishy deal and I want to know who's pocket it hit.

Walgreens Announces $2 Billion Share Repurchase Program as Part of New Capital Allocation Policy
The board of directors of Walgreen Co. (NYSE: WAG) (NASDAQ: WAG) announced it has authorized a new $2 billion share repurchase program. The program, which expires at the end of 2013, replaces the previous $1 billion plan announced in January 2007 which had approximately $655 million remaining. Since 2004, Walgreens has repurchased more than $1.3 billion of common stock.
The board also declared a regularly quarterly dividend of 13.75 cents per share, a 22.2 percent increase over the year-ago dividend, and set a long-term dividend payout target of 30 to 35 percent of net earnings.
Walgreens generated a record $4.1 billion in cash flow from operations in fiscal 2009 as a result of its stronger operating performance and improved working capital. “We remain confident in our growth strategy and ability to drive earnings growth, increase return on invested capital and generate strong cash flow,” said Walgreens President and CEO Greg Wasson. “With that, we have outlined a capital policy to provide further clarity on our future uses of cash.”
