just checking if people were still posting about this stock...can't believe it's been the same song for over 5 years here...this company will NEVER drill...they have no assets
IMO
are there shareholders here who still actually believe this stock is going somewhere?
this company is finished
JMO
does anyone even believe that this is still a real company?
stick a fork in her...she's almost done
IMO
What are the possible outcomes of an SEC investigation? As much as I would like to recoup my loss with this company, I think it is more important that Bendall be punished. And I'm sure everyone would like to see him get what he deserves. He is a flat-out thief who has not produced ANYTHING in the past 15-20 years. He's taken shareholders' money to fund his lifestyle.
Is it any wonder that howardhaftel and others have stopped posting here?
o yea...IMO
you're absolutely right...time to put this in a time capsule IMO
this stock is totally dying and is hardly even worth following anymore...a lot of people just lost money holding onto a 'company' that accomplished ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
IMO
looks like this is the end, folks!
IMO
so i went to see where Sure Capital's New York offices were, but i didn't realize it was on Park Avenue SOUTH...i got lazy and went home...still, i'm not discouraged and may try again sometime this week...i'm definitely putting a lot of faith in Empire Energy despite the negativity and skepticism, including my own...after all, if i didn't have faith in EEGC, then i would have sold all my shares...glta!
haha...i wish i was going to bermuda...i'm in new york though...i'll let you know what i find in a couple hours
hmmmm...well, i'll go down there anyways to see what their offices look like...any company that can afford to shell out $40-something million a year should definitely be able to afford even a small office space
I actually only work a few blocks from Sure Capital's offices, so I'll check it out later today and report back
i wish the PPS would just shoot up to $1
why does no one ever pick up the phone at any of their offices (Kansas and Hobart)? nor does anyone ever return phone calls
well i guess that means it's a wrap, right?
expect a huge dumpoff on Monday
what's with the selling?

You can find a lot of information on here regarding exploration licenses and such. Try doing some digging, and you might find some surprising things.
Why was a PR never released about this? Maybe one was, and I just never read it.

for sure, something good is happening...Hunt would not return, let alone agree to return, to the drilling site if no money is about to be in place...either that or they know something we don't...either way, signs are pointing to a positive outcome
what difference does anything make anyways? the fact of the matter is there is no financing period. the lease ends in a little over a month, and there is no rig. there also hasn't been any drilling in the past how-many years. i've been long for several years now, and i'm not going to sell my shares, but this thing is pretty much over unless a miracle happens, and let's face it, miracles rarely happen when it comes to money and oil.
I will get in touch with a few attorneys I know about preliminary steps for a lawsuit. This is ridiculous. I suggest you do the same if you are or have friends that are lawyers. I know there are enough of us to form quite the class-action.
wow...i just came to visit this board; i sold my shares a few months ago because this thing is a sinking ship; doesn't look like much has changed, if anything things look worse for this company. Normally i'd say 'kudos' to those holding strong, but in this case, that is not warranted. This company is done, and I'm wondering if they had anything substantially concrete in the first place. Maybe it's time to consider a lawsuit against Mendall and company.
damn...looks like people are starting to dump this stock...it's too bad and it sucks seeing something that had potential go to waste...o well, time to move on to another company....good luck to everyone sticking with EEGC, but I think this will be down to a penny within a week
And I know we can sell our shares if we are unhappy, but at .04 a share, it simply isn't worth it. Yes, patience is needed, and a lot of us here have been patient for a long time.
I agree with Sally. I, too, live in New York City and, knowing business, money talks and companies like to be vocal about their operations. EEGC is the complete opposite of a successful company. It's a real shame. I've held onto EEGC shares for over 3 years now, and nothing about the company has changed to indicate they are coming up. In New York, money-making companies or companies that believe in their products or services make a lot of noise; EEGC is, simply, too quiet.
THose are perfectly legitimate things to be worried about. There's no need to be condescending toward those who ask questions. Yes, patience is preached, and everyone is being patient. But if this forum isn't to voice worries and concerns, then what's it for? A lot of people on this board have been invested in Empire Energy for a long time. A lot of people bought in when the share price was in the .20s, some even bought in at .75. It is worrisome to see a company with, apparently, a lot of potential have their stock go down, without even a hint of uptick. Howard, of all people, you should be the most understanding, seeing your activity on this board and how much people here actually look to you, either for comfort or support, especially considering the support and prayers the forum members have given you.
if the Australian Mercury story is false, why hasn't a retraction been issued?
i was this close to selling my shares this morning, but might as well ride it out...gotta have a little faith in something, right?
how do you know it's BS? Or, why do you think so?
damn it...there go a lot of shattered dreams...o well
that's really good news mr. haagen...give Vincent our regards...we just need some faith...of course, we don't want to have blind faith which is why we are all very antsy
i agree...we all need a drink...i can't believe some people are selling shares right now
You don't know the status of the loan but you know that Malcolm mortgaged his house?
awwww...nevermind...that was just a tease.
holy crap.....what just happened???
Belgians...any word from your countryman, VincentMertens?
i really hope something spectacular is afoot..us longs have been patiently waiting in the wings
not sure if anyone's seen this:

i found this post on stockhouse.com:
I emailed Smart Win back in July of 2008 because I could not get any answers from Empire,Great South or Hunt regarding drill start. I received a reply that to the best of their knowledge drilling was to commence in late September. One would assume that their obligations were met at that time. They replied promptly to my request.
If anyone wishes to try for a current update email Jessica Wang at contact@genesis-org.com
seems like a good idea to e-mail SmartWin for more info....
anyways, i'm sick of waiting for them to start drilling and there's something not right with this company so I'm out...good luck to you all, and I hope there is oil for you guys
