Thanks, Edward. Apparently I'm not the only one with this recent problem. . .

I use Chrome, but get the underlining in Edge, too. Disabled all extensions and didn't help. Checked programs, nothing new nothing about enhanced text. Next???
Newly
Strange. . .
Newly
PS I ran a deep Windows Defender scan and nothing.
Yes, all words are highlighted in that post. Perhaps the difference is that you are a sub and I am a freebie???
Newly
Can't PM, but thanks DownWithPumpers, I suspected as much. I do recall years ago we used to have these highlighted words. Highly annoying and distracting. . .
Newly
Hi, Edward. Do you know, the underlined blue words (links) in messages which have just reappeared recently (see my earlier post here), are these from iHub, or is my computer infected? Only occurs on iHub. . .
Newly
that depends. I don't seem to get it on all threads, just some of them.
Newly
This is a $200 Win10 computer, so I don't download a bunch of stuff. I don't have malwarebytes on it, but I'll try some other stuff I do have and see what happens. Tnx for your help.
Newly
Whadda ya want for free? Singing lessons cost money! Quit complaining or I'll do my Cher impression. . .
Newly
Kitt, Kitt, Kitt please, oh, please, release me let me go.........................oh, pretty please.
TIA
Newly
I also am having blue underlined words the past few days. I disabled all my extensions and addons and cleared my cache and am still getting them. Any suggestions?
TIA

Well, there are two alternatives I can think of, but neither may appeal to you. You could use bluetooth (if your phone and computer support it) to send the photos wirelessly, or you could email them to yourself as an attachment. I think there is perhaps a third possibility by removing the SIM card in the phone but I'm not sure exactly how that would work to transfer what's on it to a computer. Maybe someone else could chime in here with some ideas. . .
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck!
Newly
Seems to be fixed now. Strange.
Newly
This feels like the Hotel California, you can check in but cannot check out, LOL.
Newly
Odd. Generally one can remove the plug on the end of the charging cord and find the USB plug inside. At least that's how all my device cords are, allowing for phone charging through house current or computer.
Newly
If you have no cord with the phone, how do you charge the battery?
Newly
No, I don't allow it to auto update. Don't know what changed except I'm travelling and tethering phone to computer to use data feed for internet. Wonder if the switching from bluetooth (for internet connection) to USB (for photo transfers) had anything to do with. Whatever, it's working now!
Newly
Well, nevermind anyway. After fooling with this, that and the other thing, now it is working on both computers. Go figure! No idea what I did, but who cares as long as it works now!
Newly
Having problems with both my old XP machine and my new Win10Pro not recognizing my SamsungS4 when I try to connect to download photos from the phone to the computer. Always worked before. If nothing else, my Win10 would show the phone when connected as a drive, and I could go there and copy the photo file, but it doesn't recognize the phone as connected at all any more. Any suggestions appreciated. . .???
TIA

I'm not sure where it would be in I.E. as I use Chrome. It would be an extension you would probably have had to add to your browser yourself. Check your add-ons/extensions. Usually there would be an icon somewhere near the top of your browser where you can enable/disable the function.
Newly
Just a thought. . .are you running a script blocker? That has caused login problems for me in the past -- had to disable my ScriptSafe to login, then reenable it afterwards.

I pay my accountant to know the rules and apply them, so I don't even look at the broker's yearend tax report, just print it and give it with everything else to my accountant, then sign and submit the forms he gives me. Easy peasy.
Newly
My broker is very sophisticated (and expensive) so I'm sure they offer it, though as I said, I rarely hold overnight so it never mattered to me how they calculate it for tax purposes. I do sometimes leg into or out of positions, but I keep my own records of my trades and which lots I'm selling and that may be different from how my broker does it, but it doesn't matter if all lots are sold in the end, it's a wash either way it is calculated and I let my accountant figure out the wash sale rule implications, LOL.
Newly
Good info, cintrix (as usual). Wasn't aware one had a choice. Not sure whether my broker offers a choice, never bothered to check as it doesn't matter to me as I'm a daytrader, for the most part going out flat most nights.
Newly
I've never used Scottrade, however normally lots are determined by the FIFO method (first in, first out), so, if you bought the $10 shares first then the $6 shares, your first sale of one lot would generally be applied to the $10 shares. Once you sell one lot, you can buy shares back again later at any price and the next sale will be the lot you bought at $6. Be aware, however, of wash-sale rules if you sustain a loss.
There may however be restrictions on a rebuy due to various regulations (account type cash or margin, account balance <$25K, pattern day-trader status, etc.) -- check your broker for details on your particular account.
Newly
I don't use IE, but I imagine perhaps you could download NoScript or ScriptSafe to eliminate the problem. I use Chrome with ScriptSafe. Good luck.

Oh, dear -- home is well-known to be one of the most dangerous places of all. However, as they say, there is no place like home for the holidays, LOL.
Newly
Best holidays to you, too, Edward. Be safe and merry. . .but not toooooooo merry if you're driving, LOL.
Newly
I believe the problem with the phone App has been discussed here extensively. Apparently it is an aftermath of the recent DDOS attack. However, one can access the Ihub site through your phone's browser until the App problem is fixed.
Hope this helps.
Newly
Merry Christmas, Larry, to you and yours!
Newly
Wishing you and all the other Ihub Admins and Geeks a very happy and safe holiday season.

Haven't had a chance to study the 9 EMA and not sure how it would fit into my trading plan. I do like to keep things simple, and have tried and discarded many indicators and ideas over the years but I'm always looking for new ideas that could potentially improve my trading results. I am a very risk-averse trader, thus the preference for intraday trading and strict interpretation of candle formations and adherence to my trading strategies and tactics. I'm not sure how smart that is, but it works for me and pays the bills, so. . .
Newly
I'm primarily an intraday trader of SPY options (99% of trades are selling naked Puts) on the Weeklies (Fri exp), but every day first thing, I check the Monthly down to the 5-Min for signs of overall direction for the day, then use the 5- and 15-min for entries/exits. I've looked at your 9MA but it just doesn't "speak" to me and I depend heavily on the 105 SMA as an important S/R point on all timeframes.
We are all experienced traders here as far as I can tell, and I think sharing our specialized knowledge with other posters here is beneficial for all of us.
Newly
Not interested in playing "gotcha" or impunging your integrity here, Risk. We're all on the same side, right? Just think it is interesting to discuss these issues for all of our enlightenment. Your mileage may vary.

Checking further on that Evening Star, I find that even Nison allows for there to be no gap, though he does say it weakens the formation. He feels the definitive fact is that the third candle pushes well into the first candle's real body. So, appears we are both correct, my interpretation being just a bit less liberal than yours, LOL. My experience over many years of trading has taught me to be strict in my interpretation of candle formations to reduce risk. I won't trade based on a loose interpretation of a formation. I guess one could say I am risk averse, LOL.
Newly
Nope, it is the weekly , and it is an eve star you posted , my apologies for not reading close enough earlier . The tall green candle the previous week , followed by a small eve star candle
Not an Evening Star without the gap between the first and second candles, Risk. Close, but close doesn't count. Assuming close counts often leads to unexpected and undesirable results.
Per Nison, Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques, pg. 271: "Evening star -- A top reversal pattern formed by three candle lines. The first is a tall white real body, the second is a small real body (white or black) that gaps above the first real body to form a star, and the third is a black candle that closes well into the first session's white real body." (emphasis mine) No gap between the first and second real bodies on that chart nor does it appear this week's candle will pierce deeply into that long white first candle with only one day to go.
