The TA cleared this up for me:
Actually, the PROXY statement the company released indicating VIRTRA SYSTEMS, INC.’s outstanding shares as of 03/10/2011 the PROXY RECORD DATE as 158,328,245 is correct. Please see the breakdown below:
1). Number of shares issued = 158,615,776 (01/19/2011 and 03/16/2011 [inquiries])
2). Treasury shares = 287,531 (“R/N/O GAMECOM, INC.)
3). Outstanding = 158,328,245
Just keep in mind there are 287,531 shares in TREASURY registered in the old name of GAMECOM, INC.
wow, this is going to be heading up for sure
lol, so they are going to buy 30k from a client at 0.09 rather than just buy them on the market at 0.08? Please explain
How would buying 30k at .09 help drive the price down?
lol, how does that work? They aren't buying shares at 0.09 because they're going to drive the price of the stock down. They're buying them because they think they're worth more than 0.09, not less.
You sound as if you've never met a RS that you would vote for. I sense there is a general realization here that Virtra needs a RS -- it's just the timing, 1:100 ratio, and associated other ballot measures that have caused great uncertainty. I will wait and listen today before voting.
May I ask, are your vtsi shares held in your name or a street name (i.e. at a brokerage). I ask because I'm still trying to figure out how you knew before anybody else. I haven't received anything in the mail.
FYI #2: re-read that, obviously you overlooked that it was a reply to another to a post.
My previous pledge of a "yes" vote was based on my belief that Bob Ferris owns a lot of stock and has the right philosophy for building the company. However after reading that document I've changed my mind for now about voting for it. Unless there is more to the story, 1:100 makes little sense.
And the way this was introduced via a mailing was just BS.
An after market PR that they are moving to an exchange... And how would that work if you need shareholder approval for the R/S necessary to get the share price to the right level?
This is a small point, but please let me know if anyone has any theories as to why the number 158,328,245 occurs through out that document, whereas the TA has been reporting to me the following:

Bingo, correct answer I'd guess. My boatload will be voting "yes".
I hope you're right but are you sure you have the right message board?
"Gander Mountain Company will come before the city of Ocala’s Board of Adjustment on Monday asking for a special exception to build an indoor shooting range at its sporting goods store."

Yet another job, marketing manager. Posted 3 days ago

Actually I expect they told you it was their policy not to give out any information without the consent of the company, right?
That'e easy to get, I just asked Bob Ferris. And ever since the TA has promptly responded to my queries and I have posted them here.
TA update
As of March 16, 2011 OS = 158,615,776
Hank, that's all in the annual report which was just released a few days ago. It's at www.otcmarkets.com and the company's website. As for "Tried to call the IR but no answer", welcome to the club, that has been an issue.
My data, same sort of neighborhood in each case:
Then: My own education, in the 60's-70's;
Now: three kids in school, I see the homework every night.
And your data that backs up your narrative? A story on the Glenn Beck show about how the schools are going to hell in a hand basket? lol
Bob Ferris, if you're reading this
I recommend that you pretend that you are a curious investor trying to answer a question or two prior to purchasing vtsi. Borrow a cell phone (because Jed has your number) and call the number on your own press releases. You'll get a generic voicemail recording, and, if you are really lucky, a call back. Same experience with email. There has to be a better way.
Actually, the schools are as good or better than they have ever been. The problem is that in today's corporate america you can fill a "journalist" position for $20k salary. i.e., someone will take the job, and spit out the crap that constitutes news these days.
You get the experience that you pay for, sort of like that pilot in the Buffalo crash that was making $25k and living with her parents.
why do you think there is a cc today?
That's a nice looking chart, but I think it's even more beautiful looking at the 3 year timespan, because there's one more leg down on the left. If you get a chance, take a look and post it if you like it. I need to get one of those stockchart accounts, they are really nice charts.
Yukon, is it possible to do this same chart in log instead of linear? I think it's a very important difference, and it belongs in the ibox. Thanks, 5cap
Teeroy, would it be possible to place the 3 year weekly chart from stockcharts.com below your daily chart in the ibox? Just a suggestion, because only by looking at the weekly chart does one realize that this move has not even hardly started yet and the real blue sky breakout is going to happen at .13 or so.
Maybe someone who has been to business school can correct me if I'm wrong, but for a little company with a few dozen employees that is only on the cusp of exponential growth like Virtra wouldn't management's objective be to not show any significant earnings? Because that would in effect not be putting your capital to work, and would expose yourself to paying taxes un-necessarily.
Fails to deliver website. FTD of VTSI seems pretty low recently

My guess is
a PR of the annual report and conf call. Expect $2.8M in rev, I know some people are looking for more but reckoning the quarter's finances by making extremely optimistic estimates for every single variable results in high expectations and will make a very good quarter seem like a dissapointment.
Perhaps related, 67% of the volume was shorted yesterday:
http://regsho.finra.org/FORFshvol20110214.txt
why .074 x .0741?
what's that all about? For instance if you had 100k to sell, the difference between asking .0741 and just selling at .074 (there are a number of mm's at 7.4 cents) is only $10. Is there some market participant who would like to sell but can only do so at the ask?
Anyone talk to Jed?
I called the number on the PR on Monday. There is no voicemail message, just the plain vanilla "Leave a message for 310-403-0559". No call back. I tried again but just got the same message. I wonder how much the company is paying for this "IR" service.
Dutchess was paid off in the 4th quarter, not the 3rd (Oct 29 2010)

also, regarding the jump from 152M shares earlier in 2010, Bob Ferris wrote me this back in August: "The 5M is the exercise of stock options that have been reported on our books for some time now, so the corresponding number of stock options will disappear in the next report. Also note that the shares are all restricted for 1 year."
got any evidence for your claim that "they have been diluting further again"? I know what the TA has been reporting to me, and I've been posting those numbers. The OS has gone up tiny amounts having to do with employee compensation. Hardly "diluting again". Patience, grasshopper
from the scotttrade website: "Money Direct funds cannot be used to purchase stocks under $4, non-marginable stock, unlisted stock or any options until the third business day after the deposit."
It is a margin account. vtsi is non-marginable.
All's well, this needs to stay down in the low 7 cents range until my recent deposit clears. For a non-marginable security like vtsi TdAmeritrade waits 3 business days after ACH settlement, which means that they can use the money but I can't. Anybody know a broker that allows a more immediate trade?
I'd consider an 11 unit sale "material." It's just that the clause reads "VirTra entered into a material contract with a customer that has not yet been publicly announced." While the PR that you referenced said "sale of eleven advanced firearm training systems to various locations throughout South America and Mexico."
Here it is again:
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/VirTra-Announces-Eleven-iw-136344999.html?x=0&.v=1
It sure doesn't sound like "a customer."
I think you are confusing "not moving up" with an "inability to move up". Clearly, it's not moving up right now, no argument there. But your claim is an inability to move up. Sooner or later I expect you'll be proven wrong.
But not with these one unit sales, this is a disappointing PR. For the last year the PR/sale ratio has been going down (I mean, it used to be 1, i.e., every single sale resulted in a PR). IMHO these one unit sales PR's are kind of a bummer. Sort of gives one the feeling that nothing new is happening. But I'm focused on all the hiring, the new products and the "material sale" clause that recently appeared. I do think things are happening that we don't know about.
nope
