Visa will NOT be effected by CONSUMERS DEFAULTING on their CREDIT CARD debt!!!!!!!!! It’s the banks that will lose money. Visa doesn’t issue credit they just licensee their name to banks. Visa makes money every time someone swipes a card. I have been watching the Prepaid Visa and MasterCard Debit card industry and noticed that as the credit crunch gets tighter the companies that issue Visa and MasterCard prepaid cards are issuing more cards. I saw a press release yesterday for Prepaid Card Inc (PPDC) saying they just launched and they issued 40,000 Prepaid Debit cards their first month. Visa is here to stay. I have watched this company grow for 40 years… They aren’t going anywhere but UP UP UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
