UGAZ is UGAZF now
Thank you!
Where do you find this info researcher? Both realtime outstanding shares and the Credit Suisse fair value?
UGAZ is still trading right around 3x. DGAZ isn't; it's only up ~5% instead of 15%
UGAZ/DGAZ are so out of whack.
UGAZ UP 3.1% DGAZ is ALSO UP .08% wtf?
That is totally what I was remembering. Thank you!
Can anyone recommend a good source for futures prices? I can't seem to find my bookmark. I swear I was using investing.com with a nice list of each month's current price for at least a year out but I can't seem to find it.
Thanks!
20 cent swing today, remarkable! Nothing like uwt... Dang!
Depends on how low it goes.
Cool thanks
Are you watching UGAZ/DGAZ volume or NG contract purchases?
Something I never read about this time of year when it comes to Nat. Gas is usage for drying corn/soy. I live in mostly rural Northern Illinois. Most of the Midwest has had record rainfall. Farmers are having to harvest their crops while they are still partly green and therefore very wet. The about BTUs it takes to dry 1 bushel of corn varies from 8k-30k. It will be interesting to see how that plays into demand this season.
UGAZ has decayed far to much to get anywhere close. I'd say 30-50?
Guess everyone remembered winter IS coming and it is going to be "a long cold" one. We're going to get 3+ inches of snow in Chicagoland on Halloween; it's been a LONG time since that's happened.
You are probably looking at the wrong chart. As many people have told you, UGAZ is 100% December contracts. As I already told you, UGAZ/DGAZ roll contracts starting the 6th business day of the month 20% per day for 5 days. Front month is still November vs Dec hence contango etc. etc. You have to follow /NGZ19 not /NGX19. Ugh.
Furnaces are blaring across most of the US this morning...
Ironically, a warm artic messes with the polar vortex over North America and Europe. You know what that means: brrrrrr.
Natural gas futures roll then. UGAZ/DGAZ are products BASED on natural gas futures. They roll during the period I stated. That can be be found in the prospectus for the respective product. (google ugaz prospectus. sorry I don't have time now)
Ugaz/dgaz start rolling into the next month's contracts the 6th business day of the month at 20% per day for 5 days.
That means they start rolling into November today.
NG @ $2.6 should easily be reachable.
If you look at a NG monthly chart going back 20 years (or even 10) it was RARELY below $2.5
Awesome, thanks!
IHUB android app - latest update - what happened to the "reset all" button to clear unread posts??
As always: THANK YOU!!
Depends on what natural gas contracts you're looking at. UGAZ and DGAZ are now mostly in April contracts. Good chance you're still looking at March. They don't necessarily move in lockstep.
These are futures. Do think there will be a polar vortex in March/April? That's the the current price is reflecting. Last week's cold weather was included in futures purchased in Nov/December.
Both DGAZ and UGAZ roll their contracts to the forward month starting the 5th business day of the month at a rate of 20% per day. So by beginning of the 10th business day of the month they are 100% in the forward month. So the end of the second week of Feb. they will be 100% in April contracts.
I'll agree with that. Maybe not 100 but definitely significantly higher. USUALLLLLYYY with seasonality.
In the words of dude iligence the "it's gonna be a long hot summer" expectation run.
Yes they do, but... not for no reason. These are futures based; commodities at that. Has to be a reason why Natural Gas purchasers expect the future price of Nat. Gas to increase/decrease.
Next Thursday DGAZ and UGAZ start the 20% per business day roll into APRIL futures. What catalyst do you see causing natural gas to be as expensive in April (shoulder season little HDD) as it was in Jan/Feb?
DGAZ and UGAZ start rolling contracts the 5th business day of the month for 5 days @ 20% per business day. They have both fully been in March contracts for a week. 2 more weeks and they start rolling into APRIL!
In 2 weeks UGAZ and DGAZ will be rolling into APRIL futures...
And so it did.
I'm guessing it will be short lived. DGAZ and UGAZ have both rolled 100% into March Futures now (/NGH19).
Good chance to buy more DGAZ
Actually, that is not true. UGAZ is a 3x ETN that follows a commodity, Natural Gas futures. Through beta decay, it will ALWAYS move towards a new all time low then reverse split; has happened several times over the past few years.
If you want to look at past trends, look at a chart for Natural Gas (the underlying commodity) not UGAZ and see that it is no where near an all time low.
Why would you think the cost of NG will go back up? In just a matter of days UGAZ and DGAZ will start rolling into March futures... winter is basically over in the futures markets.
Couple more days and DGAZ starts rolling into March futures. Winter is about over in the futures markets...
Except by mid January UGAZ and DGAZ will be on to March futures already.
It sure would be nice to see NG back at $2.80 where it was just 2 months ago. Is this the end of the normal winter pop and drop?
That was a very high volume drop. The 10 minute period before 8am central was higher volume than almost all periods during the open market yesterday.
Next week and a half here in Chicagoland will be unseasonably warm.
Opening gap filled, that's a plus!
