Hey GG69...I think we are in for a real game changer here...However. We still need A) Confirmation as to how much of this resource we are going to own going forward (and how much it is going to cost us B) the average size of Flake and the percentage of large present. + C)PURITY.PURITY,PURITY
good luck to all durring this exciting time
Expecting two pieces of the puzzle revealed within the next week or so...Firstly, I expect Zen to clear up the Cliffs/Zen property uncertainty. ....Secondly, I expect a followup to the recent drill report with respect to the composition of the smaller veinlets that were isolated and sent for analysis. Following this weeks news all eyes should be on the next criticle info, that being the report confirming the purity & flake size percentiles....If favourable to any real degree, we should see the shorts get squeezed with the same intensity that has been seen durring Zen's downturn. SP seems to move with much volatility in both directions. Lets hope that the next couple of N/Rs come out on positive market days. - Paul
Good for you Lad! - nice timing on the purchace. This is my first Graphite company & even though I had probably spent 30-40 hrs researching the company, resource, management & forcasts re supply & demand, I was caught off guard with the sudden selloff. This lead to me re-examining the numbers & before I could "pull the trigger" the price had crept back up to .46. Still doubled down & am quite confident that if the world hangs together for another week or two we will see new highs here. I'm going to guess that only about 20% of the retail investors that were in on this prior to yesterday's selloff actually understand the potential magnitude of this resource. THIS IS A COMPANY MAKER we have here, but drilling will be needed to convince others. Hope today is rebound day...time to check the futures!!!... GLTA - Paul
Hell of a day..Turned into an incredible buying opp for those that understand "the numbers". Market mayhem of late responsible for the quick triggers today but IMO the Graphite sector is so new that a lot of these investors looking for the fast buck failed to take the time to understand what they were buying! Purity & the ownership (Cliffs) outcome are really the only concerns that I have now. The vein size is pretty well forcast through the airbourne work and will over time & with the drill bit, be proven up. The size of this deposit will be proven to be economically viable ,I believe. Close to surface, high value type deposit, close to transportation, good managment & supply and demand going forward all seem to be trending in our favour !! As investors begin to educate themselves, the sp will begin to firm up. Now we wait for a NR on deal with Cliffs & for purity content both of which may be sooner than later - Good luck Goose...hope you were able to grab some at the botton as well - Paul
Bought second third of my LT holding. Would really appreciate the final third at .03 if you could just delay that call a bit longer LOL - GL - Paul
Took a position at .03 shortly after LT debt restructured. No reason IMHO that this company won't show a profit from this next 1/4 going forward. The 2+ MM losses just reported reflected some of the loan carrying charges untill July's deal. Letter reflected a quiet confidence IMO - Paul
Need to pull a rabbit out of the hat. No cash, grand ideas, and very little to show for what they have been up to over the last 9 months! Could have probably used this update when s/p was in free fall a year and half ago. Silence then (should have remained silent IMO) At least then we could have speculated on big news around the corner. This s/p continues to grind into the sand without a joint venter announcement imo - (becomes a lottery pick at or just under .05 to me) - Paul
As a disclaimer...I only hold 18K aph of a one-time position of 230k. I kept that small amount as a type of "suicide protection position". In case T.O. was able to bring this puppy back to life and at least in the back of my mind would re-invest if I were to see light at the end of the tunnel. Now that there is a pulse, and IMO an over reaction of share buying, I have decided not to jump in here. This is simply the product of 3+ years of wittnessing the errosion of confidence in the shareholder base of this company. I wish everyone here the absolute best of luck with this latest oppertunity, and sincerly hope that T.O. knows what he is doing as Woodstock would say....on perhaps his last shot at making a company here....-thebouch
Like the idea of the purchase. Don't like the idea of the $1m - can see a PP at far too low pps. don't get overly excited as memory not that bad...we tried this once before !!! - Paul
Bizz. as usual (unfortunatly)
still find it some what interesting that some other gambler would want to take this 29mm share 'leap of faith' with as little as what 'Ed' has done with this.
How does one go about "unloading" on an uptick? I will do the same !! LOL
Just got off Royal Carib.'s "Oasis of the Seas" Largest cruise ship in the world. Everyone there (7000 incl crew) using the auto hand sanitizers throughout the ship. Purell of course. On a brighter note...you would have loved this one Surf... Two flow rider machines meant you never had to wait for a wave LOL - Paul
Have a feeling you may be right - only 10% in right now so I hope for my sake that it is only financials & not some T.O. blockbuster deal !!! LOL - Paul
In and out within 3-12 months is the plan. - very good source. - Paul
Surf/Janet - sold 90% of my pennies (incl APH) to get into DWI (DRWI) in the States. in at 6.56 C$ - expect a double within the next quarter & triple within the next year. Not at liberty to say why - just look at it. - Paul
I'm on a diet & your driving me nuts with your beef stroganoff & ice cream talk!!! LOL Have a great night people & TRY to think long term here. Terry will come out of his closet at some point with something completly unexpected such as a partnership ect that will start the wheels turning again. He knows as well as most that this is BIO season & time to bring SP back for financing oppertunities. - Paul
Talked to Scott today. Tune APH out for the rest of the summer if you can't handle "quiet". should see the PP closed in a week to 10 days. Alda did not push the closing of the PP hard but expect it to close soon. My plan is still intact as of today. Having one of the most noted Dr's in HIV on board will eventually reap it's rewards. Feeling better about our Olympic responcibilities now as well. There are big bids & big asks on the board each day. For those who have become less enthusiastic followers of T.B. I leave this thought. Many have charged TB with buying APH then promoting it. He now has dismissed APH when it is at the bottom of it's S/P value. Is it too big of a stretch to figure he is now once again a buyer? Nothing surprises me and this is purly speculation on my part. Let's face it.. if I believed in the end productline but didn't care for the company's lack of progress ...it is exactly what I would be doing !! DS just as a disclaimer for you.. I had 230,000 at my highest ownership. Sold at .70 again at .40 & just a week or so again at .125. I now own 102,000 but will re-invest between now and late August & am hopeful that the price per share is lower than .10c - Stay well all - Paul
Ed's off today...Canadian bank/market holiday. May have a lot of followers north of the border. Enjoy your day on the 4rth !! - Best of luck to all - Paul
at just over $9K, that Friday accum. could turn out to be one hell of a LOTTO ticket for the buyer. IMO Ed who ownes a reported 1/3 of all the O/S shares will not leave them here as 'Dead Money'. We will see him attempt to give EKWX some type of Value going forward in order to execute some sort of exit strategy.-thebouch
It might of had a chance if the next guy hadn't of thrown another 95 K on the sell pile. LOL - Paul
Financials were some-what predictable if you ask me. I was not expecting any unexpected 'Glory' report. To answer your next question prematurly...I see our next quarterly to be back to our normal sales figures. That coupled with our expanded employee/operating costs we will continue to bleed cash. (Now for what I see as the positive) LOL. T.O. is no fool. Neither is the most prominent HIV Dr. that I have seen in print thus far, who just joined our team. I would be shocked if Alda did not come up with some type of 'SPLASH' in this quarter to drive the price of the stock to a level where they can PP again for funds to go forward with FDA testing required for Theraputic Aplcs. Look for news of a JV in the area of STI protection if you ask me - Paul
Boy that is a loaded question!!! Firstly, this is obviously just my own opinion here and I have never spoken directly to T.O. That being said... I believe that T.O. has always viewed the therapuetic applications for T36r as "the promised land" for APH. In the begining (3 years ago for most here!) he (T.O.) was content in building the Company slowly from the grass routes forward. IMO his only true mistake so far was the forcasting of the US patent info which acted as the catalyst to our fall from 1.57 /sh. His intention was to pay for the long road to FDA approval of his Therapuetic aplications (A.P.'s) through rounds of P.P.'s at reasonable levels. With the collapse of the S.P. durring the world wide financial crisis, it became obvious that the testing to be done going forward would amount to incredible dilution. Along came the H1N1 pandemic which gave all the appreance that it could very well be historic in it's severity. In T.O.'s judgement Alda had the oppertunity to 'ride' this pandemic and create instant sales & recognition of our product line through the hand sanitizer. He knew to advance our name/recognition big dollars would have to be spent to market our product and he more or less rolled the dice with our advertising dollars & signed on to become the Olympic supplier for these games & those upcoming in London. With hindsight being 20/20 all the arm chair quarter backs are disputeing wheather we spent wisely or not & much the same as the Monday morning guessing, no one can ever say for sure. Did these descisions by T.O. help the company in the long run or did they set us back some.? I don't know for sure yet. The long and the short of it is this D.S.... He is the leader of the company...He is the largest shareholder as well... I for one have faith in his L.T. plan & only time playing out will show me to be prudent or naive..! People are constantly trashing APH because Shoppers D.M. have T36 in the buck-a-bottle bin. I have been told by insiders that we did not even have a hard and fast contract with Shoppers & that they grabbed as many bottles as they could of virtualy any hand sanitizer they could at the time. They too paniced with the pandemic & with the seasonal demand gone they are just unloading surplus supply. Take my interpitation of the events as you may. I personnaly lessened my exposure at the .42 - .44 level. because to me the risk/reward tilted that way with T.O.'s diversion from R & D into retail. I am at these levels,(.18-.195) now replacing my shares. - Paul
O.T. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I think Janet is a wonderful dancer !!! - LOL enjoy the weekend everyone - Paul
Amazed at how fast the financials were reported last quarter when times were good. Now we are much more reluctant to speed up the process. Makes me wonder just how weak the numbers will be this quarter. - Paul
Have had a buy order in for 400k now for a half hour or so with no luck yet. Already have a position here but feel there may be a payday for those willing to wait for the story to begin. Will add on weakness going forward.
If someone (AKA Hobson) is trying to accumulate cheap shares prior to disclosure of future plans, he is going to have to raise the bid. So far to day it has taken 2 1/2 hrs of trading to pick up a grand total of $6100 worth of stock. (That is if he/they are the only buyer out there, and if he/they (AKA Godin) is not hitting the bid to keep S/P down. - Hold on to all shares & make him pay a higher premium !! - Paul
Bought my shares in two blocks starting at .0020 all the way up to .0038 for an averg. of around .0030. All in all it is turning out to be at least "entertaining" LOL - good luck to all - Paul
Tend to agree that something is up here, not sure if it will be a grandslam or not, but as a S/H from 2005 I've already lost this investment once.So no big deal! Will stand firm on my 3.75 mil shares till we know the outcome. - Paul
Never a problem there SurfinNJ - Paul
The volume continues to inspire me, if not the S/P LOL - Paul
One has to imagine that with the volume observed today, that most if not all those waiting for a pop in s/P to exit, have now done so. This is exactly what this much maligned company needed in order to clear the way to higher highs. With such a high percentage of new blood in the stock we no longer have to dread the "sell on the pops" we were living with over the last year or so. With the culmination of T.O.'s mid term plan, to gain accesss to one of the largest markets in the world, those just in are seeing that he is a CEO who sticks to his plan & gets things done. Now we can hope for more regular news as we work on distributors & deals to grow revenue over the next year. This new customer base will, in my opinion, warrent another look at the possiblity of developing our own manufacturing facility going forward. Lots of work to be done by the APH team in the short term regarding the US, Europe ect., but I am even more confident that TO will deliver on his long term goal as well. Therapuetic applications for T36 and the expected windfall that they will inject into the company. Well done everyone...We go north from here ! - Paul
OT Thanks for the mention here Janet. I've held Ekwx (3.75 million) shares for several years now and had more or less 'written' the gamble off. In keeping with the theme of the past week-end... I believe that this investment has now been "Reserected" LOL - Paul
Just got off the phone with Scott (our second conversation in as many days) and I remain confident in the mid to long term success of this company. Those who wanted a quick return on investment over the Olympic games are of course upset with the lack of s/p movement. But the company & T.O. have done everything possible to keep with his plan going forward (may not be at the pace to which the collective here demands) He did say that the duties of Dr Shapiro would be taken over by outsourcing them as most of his day to day activity revolved around patent protections ect. Also the question of tests for FDA approval was discussed and he said some of the testing had been done but indicated that all was not completed and would/could not say when approval was expected. Still after discussions, I have decided that it would be prudent to re-buy APH over the next while, those shares that I sold at the .40-.42 level. - regards - Paul
Could be wrong...but envision APH as too small in manpower to handle more than 1 thing at a time. Olympics will be over before we get any new news IMHO. - Could be wrong, but I think T.O. has his hands filled in Vancouver right now - Paul
Hi Drum... The reason you have not seen much from me lately is quite simple, I have a different mindset than most who have purchaced APH. When most people say they are buying a penny stock for the "long term" they really mean that they are willing to hold for 3-6 months or untill they can realize 'a quick' buck. When I stated that my timeline was 5 years, I really meant it. At the time T.O. was focused on bringing Alda from a venture start up through R & D and eventually to a company with numerous therapuetic applications for his T36 formulation. With the introduction of H1N1 to the senerio, T.O. veered off his original course of R & D to one of retail sales of his first economicaly viable product.(the hand sanitizer). IMHO he did this to establish a much needed cash flow for the company which may have saved us from extensive dillution.(Only time will tell !!) When I saw this happen I reduced my position from 230,000 shares to 170,000 shares at around .42-.45 (my cost is still .25/sh) I also adjusted my original timeframe from 5 to 7 years because of the detour T.O. took. This is not to say that I have lost any faith in the mngtmnt of this company. We pay him to make the HARD decisions that he feels are prudent in progressing this company to the end goal. Remember that he is our LARGEST shareholder !!.If the H1N1 pandemic had gone on to become as bad as had been predicted, Alda would certainly been in a much stronger financial position. At .27 cents a share this is IMO a screaming BUY, but once again I look at this as a 3-4 year project. I also reduced my position in APH because I felt that the new direction of the company posed a signifacant increase in risk/reward. There was /is no telling what the $3-15 Mill. cost of the Olympic experience will end up costing/rewarding us. There are always intangables realized with having your brand associated with something as prolific as the Olympic games. We may get contracts that would not otherwise be available to us for years to come due to the notariety gained here.I read all B.B.'s to gage investor reaction but what I am reading these days leaves me a bit miffed. Several have voice their frustration at not seeing Alda advertizing all over the venues. Next time you are watching action at the Richmond Oval, take a good look and tell me if you can see adds from any of the other companies sponcering the games. IMHO the I.O.C. is quite adament that the games keep from becoming a 'commercial-fest'.Come to think of it, I don't think even the hockey boards at GM Place have any adds in place (I could be wrong here, I'll watch for them next game !! LOL.) I feel for those that have been on this 'Slow boat to China', but each investor/gambler sets his own expectations and acceptable risk tolerance. Not to sway you with your descisions but APH has certainly preformed in such a manner that most investors could see a specific trend in the s/p. and there have been several grand oppertunities to either bail out or lower the share price C.P.S.- Paul
Don't blame you at all Drum! If I was looking at this investment as purely a S.T. play I would have been pissed off & dumped long ago. (In fact I did unload 60K between .48-,42 on the most recent decline) I still hold 170K as a long term investment & may re-buy more here in the mid 20s.(.25 is my even water mark) I can't help but believe TO feels little sympathy for the S.T. investors here. He has always looked at getting Alda to the stage where we have Therapuetic Aplications for T36 formulation & possibly a buyout at that time. It almost seems to me that this H1N1 pandemic served as more of an oppertunity to generate cashflow & possibly advance the company name & reputation, more than an oppertunity to make APH profitable earlier. (JMHO of where I see T.O.'s focus!!)Better times are ahead - the caveate being - that you may need to sit here for several more years with me LOL !! - thebouch
Each of the last two mornings (Since our sales #'s were released) we were met with the opening of the market having APH for sale in 'BLOCKS' at less than the current opening offers. This is caused by one of two reasons IMO. 1) The seller is panicking to get out fast. 2) He is trying to pressure the sp down. I'm sure there are other reasons , but these jump out at me. Even though the sales/margins/ & even the losses were not ugly at all, I see the selloff lately as completly overscale. - Paul PS (Great restraint so far Drumstick!!!)
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !
May you and your families be healthy,
happy and always at peace. Remember what
